Just for You

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday! :) I'm so sorry for the lack of postings this week. I was a bit under the weather this week, but am so glad to be getting back into the swing of things :)

For my first card today, I decided to ink up this adorable image from the new Anki's Sweethearts Line available exclusively at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. This image is called Julia With Flowers and I think she is so adorable :) I inked the image with Memento Black Ink onto PTI cardstock and colored her in with copics. I added some glitter with my Sakura glitter pen. All cardstock is by SU (Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, and Pretty in Pink) and my design paper is from DCWV's Nana's Nursery stack (baby girl). I added a Pretty in Pink ribbon and then adhered my image to my SU cardstock with dimensionals. I used my SU ticket corner on each corner and added pearls. The sentiment is from Hot off the Press (this is a great, versatile sentiment set) and I punched the sentiment out with my SU Word Window punch. For a finishing touch, I added Primas and a pearl. What do you think? Also, make sure to stop by Susana's Store Blog, Follow Your Heart for a wonderful tutorial by Anki (the creator of Anki's Sweethearts) on Criss Cross Cards. Her tutorial is really easy to follow and her card is just gorgeous.

For my second card today, I decided to ink up this adorable image from Pink Cat Studio. I used this past week's Mojo Monday Sketch for my layout. I inked my image with Memento Black Ink and colored it in with copics. I added some pink stickles and some glitter from my Sakura glitter pen to the image. All cardstock is SU (Always Artichoke and Regal Rose . . . this is one of my absolute favorite color combos). My design paper is from Basic Grey's Bittersweet line. I used my Threading Water border punch for the scalloped border. I also added pearls and Primas for finishing touches. What do you think?

I'd love to hear what you think of my projects. I'm hoping to get back to my regular daily posting schedule so I'll be back tomorrow with another project :) Have a wonderful weekend :)

Big Hugs, Christine :)

Try It Out Tuesday #7

Hello everyone and Happy Tuesday! :) Today marks another Try it Out Tuesday Challenge over at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design's Store Blog, Follow Your Heart. Our challenge this week was to use three embellishments from Susana's Store. I decided to use this gorgeous fairy stamp, Willow for my main image. I stamped her onto PTI cardstock and colored her with copics. I used Silver Geo-Shaped Sparklersin the center of the flowers. These sparlers really shine and you get so many in one package. I love them :) Next, I sponged SU's Bashful Blue ink around the image. I next created my card base out of SU's Chocolate Chip. I layered Bashful Blue on top of that followed by my design paper from DCWV's Garden Party (this is new and is absolutely gorgeous!!). I then used my SU ticket corner punch along the corners and added Tiger Eye Pearlsto each corner. I added a blue ribbon (from Michael's) and a Blue Moon Ribbon Charm to finish it off. What do you think? Make sure to check out the store Blog to see what the other amazing DT members have come up with this week. We'd love for you to join in these challenges. If you decide to join and upload your images to SCS and/or PCP, just make sure to include TIOT7 in the keywords section.

I'd love to hear what you think of my card. Thanks so much for stopping by. More tomorrow :)

Hugs, Christine :)

The Cat's Meow

Hello everyone and Happy Monday :) I hope your week is off to a great start. For my card today, I decided to ink up these adorable kitty stamps from H&M Stamps. I used last week's Sketch Challenge over on Splitcoast for my layout. I stamped the images with Memento black ink onto PTI cardstock, colored them in with copics, and cut them out. I added Glossy Accents to the fish bowl. I used my circle and rectangle nesties for the shapes. All cardstock is SU (Rust Red and Chocolate Chip) and the design paper is from DCWV's Pet Stack.

I'd love to hear what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by. I'll be back tomorrow with a couple more projects :)

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday! :) How is your week going? I actually had both of my cards today ready to go yesterday, but haven't been feeling very well and just now was able to get them posted. For my first card, I used images from the oh so cute Dreaming of Princessland set from H & M Stamps. I stamped the castle, princess, and apples with Memento Black Ink onto PTI cardstock and colored all images in with my copics. I added Stickles to the princess's dress and I added Glossy Accents to the apples to make them nice and shiny. I stamped the castle a second time and cut out the bushes for some added dimension. All cardstock is SU. I used Brocade blue, Always Artichoke, and Regal Rose. I cut the apples out with my circle nesties and the main image background out with my rectangle nesties. I ran the first rectangle through the cuttlebug with my Swiss Dots embossing folder. My design paper is from DCWV. I used my SU Ticket Corner punch on the corners of the DP and added pink rhinestones for a finishing touch. The sentiment is computer generated and I punched it out with my SU Word Window punch. What do you think?

For my second card, I used this gorgeous Castle from Susana's store as well as Alicia the Fairy for my main images. I had planned for this card to compliment my Round Top Box from my last post, but didn't get it photographed in time. Anyway, I actually stamped the castle three times and did some cutting and pasting with dimensionals for some added pop and 3D effect. I colored the images with my copics and I added stickles to the fairy. Remember, Alicia the Fairy is one of several new stamps designed exclusively for Susana's store. Click Here to see the entire line. All cardstock is SU (Regal Rose and Always Artichoke) and my design paper is from DCWV's Once Upon a Time stack. The sentiment is from Verve and I cut it out with my circle nesties. What do you think?

Please make sure to check out Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart. My DT sister Danni has an awesome tutorial today on spotlighting. It's a fabulous tutorial and I will definitely have to try this technique.

Well, that's it from me today. :) I'd love to hear what you think of my projects. I'm a little behind in visiting your blogs, but will catch up, I promise :) Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll hopefully be back tomorrow with another project.

Hugs, Christine

Try It Out Tuesday #6 - Anything But a Card

Hello everyone and Happy Tuesday!! :) Today marks another challenge over at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design store blog, Follow Your Heart. Our challenge today was to create anything but a card. I decided to make this little Round Top Box (you can find directions on Splitcoast under today's Try a New Technique Challenge). First, I made my box out of SU's Rose Red cardstock. I layered Night of Navy on top of that followed by my design paper from DCWV's Once Upon a Time stack. Next, I stamped this adorable new Anki's Sweetheart stamp, Alicia the Fairy. Isn't she sweet? :) Remember, these stamps are available exclusively at Susana's Store so make sure to check them out. They are all adorable :)

I stamped Alicia with Memento black ink onto PTI cardstock and colored her in with copics. I added lots of stickles to her wings and the flowers on her dress. I then cut her out using my circle nestabilities. The sentiment is computer generated. For a finishing touch, I added some blue Primas and a Making Memories brad. I then filled the box with candy and wrapped it up with a navy blue bow. What do you think?

We'd love to have you join in on these weekly challenges. If you decide to join in this week, make sure to put tiot6 in the keyword section on Splitcoast and/or PCP so we can all see. Make sure to stop by the Follow Your Heart blog to see the other creations from Susana's wonderful design team.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I'd love to hear what you think of my project. I'll be back tomorrow with another project.

Lots of Hugs, Christine :)

Enchanted Forest

Hello Everyone, and Happy Monday :) I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a Happy Valentine's Day. I'm sorry I didn't post this weekend, I was a bit under the weather. I will definitely get around to everyone's blogs today to see what I missed :)

For my card today, I decided to ink up this adorable Magnolia stamp (I think this one is "Alva" and I got mine at Roses on Paper. I inked her up with Memento Black Ink (don't forget, Marti has this ink, as well as tons of other projects on sale, so make sure to check that out), stamped her onto PTI cardstock, colored her with copics, and cut her out. All cardstock is SU (Ruby Red and Always Artichoke). The design paper is from DCWV's Once Upon a Time stack. I used my oval nesties to cut out the ovals and I used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the flowers. For a finishing touch, I used my SU ticket corner punch and added green rhinestones to each corner and I also added a Chocolate Chip ribbon from SU.

I'd love to hear what you think of my card. Thanks so much for stopping by. I'll be back tomorrow with another project :)

The Key to My Heart

Hello everyone and Happy Friday (I am so ready for the weekend)!! :) I have some really, really exciting news for you today. I've been mentioning for quite some time that Susana, at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design was going to be introducing a brand new stamp illustrator, whose line would be sold exclusively at Susana's store. Well, today is the day we get to reveal the stamps and the illustrator. I'm so excited, I have seen all of the stamps in this new line and they are precious.

The new illustrator is Anki Bargman!!!! She is a super talented member of Susana's Design Team and is also an amazing illustrator. I am so honored to be working with her and to be able to be one of the first to use her amazing new stamps.

Here is my card using one of Anki's awesome new stamps. This adorable stamp line is called Anki's Sweethearts for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design. Make sure to check out the rest of the DT's blogs (links on my sidebar), as well as the store blog, Follow Your Heart for projects today using these wonderful stamps. You can also see the entire collection at Susana's store (at 8 am PST) HERE.

For my card, I stamped the image with Memento Black Ink onto PTI cardstock and colored it in with copics. I added stickles to her outfit and then cut her out using my circle nestabilities. All cardstock is by SU (Regal Rose and Rose Red) and my design paper is from K & Co. I used my SU ticket corner punch on the corners and added pearls. I also added a ribbon and a key charm (from Michael's). What do you think?

Make sure to stop by Susana's store at 8 am PST to see the entire collection of these stamps. You will love them :)

Big Hugs, Christine :)

A Valentine's Day Treat

Hi everyone :) I wanted to show this project before Valentine's Day tomorrow (if you click on the picture above, you can see the project better . . . it was hard to get the smaller picture to really show all the details because the project is so tall). I decided to make a Double Candy Test tube Holder (you can find directions Here. I thought this was the cutest idea and have been wanting to try this for a while. It's really easy to make and super fun.

I used this adorable Polka Dot Pie stamp, Loveys With Pezzy as my main image. I stamped the image with Memento Black Ink onto PTI cardstock and colored it with copics. I added pink stickles to the hearts and red stickles to the heart in Pezzy's hand. I then used my scalloped circle nesties to cut her out. The base of the tube holder is made from SU's Regal Rose cardstock. I also used Rose Red cardstock and my design paper is from Target's Dollar Spot. What do you think?

Don't forget to stop by Marti's store, Pez-A-Doodle Designs and check out the great sales she has going on right now. Also, I'd like to send a big welcome to Taylor Usry, who just joined the Pez-A-Doodle Design Team. Check out her fabulous work Here.

Well, that's it from me today. I'll be back tomorrow with another project. Have a wonderful weekend and a Happy Valentine's Day :)

Hugs, Christine :)

Happily Ever After

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday :) Wow, it has been a crazy day here. We've had 60-65 mph wind gusts all day long. Lots of power lines, street signs, etc. down, but luckily, knock on wood, our subdivision is okay so far. Hope everyone's week is going well.

My card today is my submission to this week's challenge over at High Hopes. Our challenge this week was a sketch challenge. If you've been by my blog before, you know how I love my fairy tales, so I decided to go all out and make a multi-character fairy tale scene with my card. First, I stamped the Rock Wall using Memento Black Ink onto PTI cardstock and colored it in with copics. I then stamped it again onto a post-it note, cut it out, ans used that as a mask so that I could stamp the Castle behind it. I then colored the castle with copics. Next, I stamped the castle two more times, colored each piece with copics, then cut them out and added them to the original castle with dimensionals for some added pop. Next, I stamped the Princess, Knight, and Fairy Princess, cut them out, and added lots of Stickles :) I adhered everything to the card base with dimensionals for added pop.

All cardstock is Stampin Up (Night of Navy and Bravo Burgundy). The design paper is from DCWV's Once Upon a Time stack. The ribbon is from Michael's and the charm is a Blue Moon Heart Charm from Susana's store (these are gorgeous, you get a great variety in one pack). I also added Gold Geo Shaped Sparklers to the princess's crown.

What do you think? I'm sorry for so many pictures, but I wanted to be able to show all the dimension on the card. This one was certainly a labor of love :)

A couple more things and then I'm done (finally) :) Susana, of Susana's Custom Art and Card Design just announced some super exciting news. Elisabeth Bell, the fantastic illustrator who has illustrated stamps for Whiff of Joy and Sugar Nellie stamps, is going to be designing stamps exclusively for Susana's store. Check out Elisabeth's Blog for details. Also, tomorrow, Susana's design team will be unveiling a brand new illustrator who will be designing a line of stamps exclusively for Susana's store. Make sure to check back tomorrow for that. Finally, Marti, of Pez-A-Doodle Designs is having a huge sale, so make sure to check that out.

Okay, whew, I'm finally finished :) Thanks for reading this far :) See you back here tomorrow.

Hugs, Christine

Try it Out Tuesday #5 - A Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday :) Today is Try It Out Tuesday--Challenge #5 over at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design store blog, Follow Your Heart. Our challenge this week was a sketch challenge. Our wonderful DT leader, Suzanne, came up with the following sketch for us:

For my card, I decided to use this adorable fairy stamp from Susana's store, Sassafras. I inked her up with Memento Black ink (don't forget to check out Marti's store for some great sales) and stamped her onto PTI cardstock. I colored her with copics, added Stickles to her wings, and cut her out with my circle nestabilities. I next created my card base out of SU's Rose Red. I layered Always Artichoke on top of that followed by my design paper from DCWV's Nana's Nursery stack (baby girl). I used my Martha Stewart Lacy Doily punch on the smaller design panel. I added a ribbon and bow, and then adhered my image to a scalloped circle with dimensionals. I added these beautiful Decorative Photo Corners from Spellbinders. It's difficult to see in my picture (the lighting was pretty bad this morning) but these have beautiful embossing on them. For a finishing touch, I added three pearls to the bottom of the card.

I'd love to hear what you think of my card. Make sure to stop by Susana's Store Blog to see the other wonderful creations the design team have come up with. Also, Susana is welcoming a new Guest Design Team Member, Aud. Make sure to check out her blog Here, her work is amazing.

That's it from me today. Thanks so much for stopping by. See you back here tomorrow :)

Pillow Fights

Hi everyone and happy Monday :) I hope you all had a great weekend and that your week is off to a great start. I have a super quick post for you this morning (I have to get to work) :)

For my card today, I decided to ink up this adorable angel stamp from High Hopes. They have the cutest angel collection. I inked the image with Memento Black Ink (just a reminder, if you use this ink, Marti from Pez-A-Doodle Designs is having a huge sale right now so make sure to check it out) and stamped the image onto PTI cardstock. I colored the image with copics, added Stickles to the wings, and added pink rhinestones for buttons. Next, I created my card base from SU's Always Artichoke. I layered Regal Rose on top of that followed by my design paper from DCWV's Nana's Nursery stack (baby girl). I added a pink ribbon from Michael's. I then used my SU ticket corner punch on each corner of the image, mounted it onto my SU cardstock with dimensionals, then added pearls to each corner. The sentiment is also from High Hopes.

Two Cards for You Today :)

Hi everyone and Happy Friday!!! :) I am so glad the weekend is here. I have some work to catch up on and of course some crafting, but other than that, no exciting plans here.

I actually have two cards for ya today, which hasn't happened in forever :)

For my first card, I used this super cute Rubber Romance stamp from Susana's store, Babs, as my main image. I inked the image with Memento black ink and stamped it onto PTI cardstock. I colored the image in with copics and added Glossy Accents to the bubbles. I inked around the images using Versamagic Perfect Plumeria ink. I also used my SU ticket corner punch on the corners and added pearls to each corner. All cardstock is by SU (Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink) and the design paper is from Basic Gray's Eva line. The sentiment is from MFT. For a finishing touch, I added Primas and pearls. What do you think? Just a head's up, there is some exciting stuff coming up at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. A new illustrator will be coming to the store. Be sure to check out the DT's blogs on February 13th for some image peeks as well as a reveal of the new illustrator. A puzzle piece of the new stamp line will be revealed every day, starting tomorrow (Saturday) on Susana's PCP group. Guess who or what the image is for a chance to win a $25 gift card to the store and a hand colored image from the illustrator.

For my second card today, I used this week's Sketch Challenge over on Splitcoast for my layout. The image is a digital stamp from The Greeting Farm. I colored the image with copics and cut it out. I added Glossy Accents to Toto's nose and I added Ruby Red Glitz Stickles to Dorothy's shoes (which seemed entirely appropriate :) ). All casrdstock is from SU (Brocade Blue and Bravo Burgundy) and the DP is from DCWV. I used my Label 1 nesties as well as my swirls embossing folder. The sentiment is from SU's Humor in High Heels set. For a finishing touch, I added red sparkly rhinestones from Michael's.

Are you still here? :) Sorry for the long post today. I'd love to hear what you think of my cards. Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you back here tomorrow :)

Hugs, Christine :)

Kisses

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday :) Two more days and the weekend is here!!! :):) My card today is my submission for this week's High Hopes Challenge. Our challenge this week was to use lace somewhere on our card. I didn't have lace ribbon so I had to improvise :) I used the Martha Stewart Doily Lace border punch as my lace element.

I first stamped the stone wall (from High Hopes stamps) with Memento Black Ink onto PTI cardstock and colored it with copics. I stamped the princess and frog (also from High Hopes) onto a separate piece of PTI cardstock, colored them with copics, and cut them out. I added Glossy Accents to the frog's lips and Pink Stickles to the princess's crown and gown. I also added Gold Geo-Shaped Sparklers to her crown.

Next, I created my card base, which measures 5 1/2 by 5 1/2, out of SU's Rose Red. I layered SU's Regal Rose on top of that followed by my design paper from the new SU catalog. I then used my rectangle nesties to cut out my main image and the scalloped rectangles. I adhered the image to the rectangles with dimensionals. I then adhered the princess and frog to the wall with dimensionals. The sentiment is from an old $1 Studio G set. I added a white glittery foam heart sticker from Michael's. Finally, I added Primas and added this cool Lip Button to the center.

I'd love to hear what you think of my card. Thanks so much for stopping by. Please make sure to stop by Susana's Custom Art and Card Design Group on Papercraft Planet for a cool giveaway going on right now. See you back here tomorrow :)

Hugs, Christine :)

Try it Out Tuesday #4 - A Fairy Valentine

Hello everyone and Happy Tuesday :) It's time for another Try it Out Tuesday challenge over at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design's store blog, Follow Your Heart. Our challenge this week was to was to take any of Susana's stamps that wasn't made for Valentine's Day & use it for a Valentine's Day card or project. I loved this challenge, as it really allowed us to show the versatility of the stamps.

I decided to use one of my favorite fairy stamps, Nadine as my main image. I stamped her with Memento Black Ink onto PTI cardstock, colored her with copics, and cut her out. I added Diamond Stickles to her wings. I next created my card base, which measures 5 1/2 out of 5 1/2, from SU's Regal Rose. I layered Rose Red on top of that followed by my design paper from K & Co. I added a ribbon and a Charm that the wonderful Susana sent to me. This charm is awesome. It actually opens up like a locket and inside is a rolled up "scroll" tied with red ribbon where you could write your own secret message. How cool is that? :)

To finish the card off, I adhered Nadine to the card base using dimensionals and then I added red glittery hearts (from Michael's). What do you think? We'd love for you to join this challenge. Just upload your creations to Splitcoast and/or PCP with the keyword "TIOT4" so we can all see your creations :) Make sure to stop by the Follow Your Heart Blog to see the other gorgeous projects made by Susana's design team.

Finally, in some enabling news, Marti, of Pez-A-Doodle Designs is bringing in to her store some yummy new goodies she picked up at CHA. To make room for the new goodies, she's having a big sale, so make sure to stop by her store and check it out.

Okay, that's it from me today. Have a wonderful day and I'll see you back here tomorrow :)

Hugs, Christine :)
