Honey Bee Stamps - Sea Full of Love

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.  I decided after making so many Christmas cards, it was time to take a break and do a bright, fun, and sparkly card.

For today's card, I decided to use the adorable mermaid stamp and assorted images from the Under the Sea Stamp Set by Honey Bee Stamps.  I stamped the images onto some Canson XL watercolor paper and then colored the images with my Zig Markers and a Detailer Water Brush.  Next, I cut the image out with the coordinating Under the Sea Honey Cuts Dies.  Next, I set the images aside and created my background.  I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolor 36 color set and a paint brush to create the fun background.  I then stamped the sentiment with some Versamark Ink and white heat  embossed it.  Then I adhered the panel onto a standard A2 sized notecard.  Next, I adhered all the images with some foam tape to create this fun scene. I also added lots of glitter to the images using my  Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.  I hope you enjoyed today's card.  Have a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year!!!

LDRS: Fun Wintery Scene Using Little Darlings Stamps and Dies

Hi everyone!  I'm here with you today to share a super fun winter/Christmas card using an adorable LDRS Creative stamp and die set from Little Darlings (and these are on sale right now too!!!).

To create this card, I first created my background using some Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Inks.  I spritzed the panel with some water to give it that fun distressed look.  I then stamped the adorable images from the North Woods Stamp and Die Set from LDRS Creative and then colored the images with my Zig Markers and a water brush.  I then cut out the critters and trees using the coordinating dies that come in the set.  Next, I used the hillside border die from the Snowy Day Border Die Set (this die can actually be used in so many ways . . . it coordinates with the snowflake border die beautifully, but, as I did here, you can use it by itself to create a fun hillside) to create a snowy hillside and then adhered that to my distress inked panel.  I then adhered the trees and critters to the panel with some foam tape and then adhered the entire panel to the front of a standard A2 sized note card.  I added a sentiment from the Splendid Azure Quick Words Sticker Set which I thought went well with the little scene I created.  My idea is to give this as a thank you note for Christmas gifts received during the holiday season.  Finally, for a finishing touch, I added some Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter Drops on the tree and around the panel to look like snow.

Honey Bee Stamps - Acorn Sisters

Hi everyone!  It's Christine here for Butterfly Reflections Ink.  I just had to squeeze in one more fall card before I buckled down and made all my Christmas cards.  I decided to create a card using the adorable Acorn Sisters Stamp Set from Honey Bee Stamps.  Here's my card:

To create my card, I first created my background by cutting a piece of Canson XL watercolor paper to a standard A2 size card front and painting it with some fall watercolors using my Gansai Tambi 36 Set Watercolor Paint Set.  I just did a simple watercolor wash background technique to create this look.  Next, this image was screaming to me to do some no water coloring, so I stamped the image with some watercolor approved black ink and stamped it onto some Canson XL watercolor paper.  I then painted the image with my Zig Markers and my Detailer Waterbrush.  I then cut the image out using the Coordinating Acorn Sisters Honey Cuts Dies.  I stamped my sentiment onto my panel and then adhered the image with some foam tape.  I then adhered the entire panel to a standard A2 sized card base.  For a finishing touch, I added some Iridescent Crystals Mix from Studio Katia.  What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today.  Thank you so much as always for stopping by and have a wonderful day!  Hugs, Christine

...and they lived happily ever after.
