Seet Pea Stamps

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! :)  I hope you are all having a wonderful week.  The new challenge is up over at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog and this time around, it's anything goes with a twist to use alcohol markers on your project.  Here is my card:

7 Kids College Fund is now carrying Sweet Pea Stamps so for this challenge, the DT was asked to showcase some of these adorable stamps.  This image is called Alice with Piglet by Elaine Cox for Sweet Pea Stamps.  I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and stamped it onto Copic Xpress Blending Card.  I of course colored the image with my Copic Markers.  Here are the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Dress: RV000, R81, R83, R85, R89, B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
Greens: G21, G94, G99
Pig: RV000, R20, R22

My cardstock is by SU.  My DP is from the Dovecraft Garden Party paper pad.  The swirls were made using a Memory Box die.  I added a bow and a jewel embellishment (from Michael's) to finish it off (I always use Scor Tape to adhere my ribbons, roses, etc., it works great).  Here are a few more pictures:

What do you think?  Well, that's it from me today.  Thanks so much as always for stopping by and make sure to stop by the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT has created and join in the challenge! :)

Believe in Yourself

Hi friends and Happy Monday! :)  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!  I've been having some lower back troubles as of late (probably from a super old mattress and constantly lifting a one year old) :) so we didn't do too much this weekend, but it was a wonderful one nonetheless.  Anyway, I have a fun card to share with you today so I'll get right to it.

For my card today, I used this gorgeous image from Saturated Canary.  She's called Bubbles and I just love her.  She reminds me of Glinda from The Wizard of Oz.  She was so much fun to color :)  I of course colored her with my copic markers.  Here are the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Pinks: R81, R83, R85, R89
Blues: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
Shadow around image: W2, W4, Blender

For the bubbles, I added Glossy Accents and then dumped Martha Stewart glitter on top.  It really is a nice effect, it's hard to capture with the camera.  My DP is from MME.  The swirly accents were made using a Memory Box Die.  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.  The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I added a bow to finish it off and the jewel accent in the center is from Michael's.  Here are a few more pictures:

What do you think?  Well, that's it from me today.  Thank you so much as always for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day! :)

Birthday Girl

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday!  This week is a crazy busy week for me.  Believe it or not, my sweet baby Isaac turns ONE on Friday!  Aaaaaah!  How on Earth did that happen?!?!  Time really does fly and all we can do is enjoy every single second of every single day.  We are planning a little birthday for him on Saturday which should be lots of fun.  I just can't believe my little man is growing up! :)  Anyway, enough chit chat and reminiscing :)  You're here to see a card so here it is :)

Today starts the new challenge over at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog.  Our challenge this week is anything goes, with a twist, if you like, to go vintage.  I decided to ink up this adorable image, it's called Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Birthday Girl and she is too cute.  I inked her up with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and stamped her onto Copic Xpress Blending Card.  I of course colored her with Copic Markers.  Here are the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair: E21, E25, E29

Blues: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
Bird: Y35, Y38, E18
Bear: E42, E43, E44, E47

I added the dots to her dress using a white gel pen.  I used Glossy Accents on the balloon and then coated it with Martha Stewart Glitter.  My SP is from the Echo Park Here and Now Paper Pad.  I distressed the edges of all of my papers using my scissors.  The swirls were made using a Memory Box die (Tab will be carrying these in the store soon).  As always, I used my Martha Stewart Score Board to score my cards.  I added a cute pom pom ribbon (from Michael's in the dollar bins) and some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I always use Scor Tape to adhere my ribbons and flowers.  Here are a few more pictures:

Enjoy the Journey

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! :)  Well, after all the projects I made last week, I needed to take a bit of time off from crafting this week to catch up on household chores that I neglected last week :)  Work has also been crazy this week as well so I'm sorry for the lack of postings.  I hope to get some time in the craft room this weekend so hopefully I'll have more projects to share with you next week :)  Today I have a very fun card to share.  My buddy Susana, owner of Susana's Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD), asked me to be a guest designer for her this week.  I of course quickly accepted.  I love Susana's store and now, she is also selling digis by illustrater Carmed Medlin so be sure to hop over to the store to check out all the stamps.

For my card today, I just had to color up this adorable image called Adventure Eyes.  I LOVE her and she's now available in digi format, which is awesome.  I of course colored her with my copics.  Here are the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20

Hi everyone and Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are having a great start to your week.  The new challenge is up over at Color Me Creative and this challenge is to use some pink in your coloring (super easy for me as it's hard for me to make a card without pink) :)

For my card today, I was excited to use this adorable image from Wendy Burns Designs.  This particular image is called Abi Ballerina and I just love her, she was so fun to color.  I colored her with my copics.  Here are the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Pinks: R81, R83, R85, R89

My DP is from MME.  I added a bow (the accent in the middle of the bow is from the dollar spot at Michael's).  The swirls were made using the Quinn Flourish Die from Memory Box dies (I got mine at Ellen Hutson).  The sentiment is from Verve Stamps.  What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today.  Thanks so much as always for stopping by and make sure to join us over at Color Me Creative.  The sponsor for this challenge is CMC itself and you could win a free class with Suzanne (you definitely don't want to miss that!).  Have a wonderful day! :)

SCACD Blog Hop

Hi everyone and happy Friday!  I'm so excited to share two cards with you today.  A couple of years ago, I had the honor of being a designer for my buddy Susana, owner of Susana's Custom Art and Card Design.  When Susana contacted me a few weeks ago to ask me if I would be interested in returning as a guest for this special blog hop, of course I jumped at the chance :)  Hopefully, you are hopping along with us and are joining me from Diane's Blog.  If you have lost your way, head to the SCACD Store Blog for a complete list of all hop participants.

Today SCACD is formally premiering the SCACD Digital site by adding over 35 images designed by Carmen Medlin!!! Carmen's range is fun, fresh as well as elegant and will have something for everyone. Susana has added quite a few never before seen Fab images as well as taken some classic past rubber stamps and turned them into digi for this release.

For my first card, I used the adorable image called Venus the Fly Trap.

How cute is this image?!?!  I of course colored him with my copics.  Here are the colors I used:

Yellows: Y21, YR23, E33, E35
Pot: E42, E43, E44, E47
Grays: W2, W4, W6, W8

My DP is a mix from two different stacks, the Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells stack and the Carta Bella Cool Summer stack.  Check out that adorable sentiment, isn't it perfect?  It comes with the image.  I added a bow and rose and then the pretty accent in the corner was made using the Madera Corner Memory Box die.  Here are a couple more pictures:

What do you think?  For my second card, I used the gorgeous image, Butterfly Dreams.  She was a dream to color.

I of course colored her up with my copics.  Here arte the copics I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Pinks: RV000, R81, R83, R85
Blues: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
Greens: G21, G94, G99
Shadow: W2, W4, blender

My DP is from Bo Bunny's Love Letters paper stack.  The gorgeous embellishments in the corners were made from Nature's Tapestry Fan Die, which is a die designed and sold exclusively at SCACD.  A bow and rose finish off the card.  Here are a couple more pictures:

What do you think?  Well, that's it from me today.  Please hop along with us.  Your next step on the hop is Crystal's Blog.

Reminder to Our International Friend: As you know, SCACD has stopped the sale of physical items. However, International customers can now purchase SCACD Digital images only.

Join us today to celebrate this release with the SCACD DT as well as bunch of amazing Guests.  If you loose your way check out the Store Blog for the entire list.

Make It Crafty Tea Party - Through the Looking Glass

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday!  Welcome to the very special Make It Crafty Tea Party!  Today, I'm joining the fun with a collection of Make It Crafty fans from around the world,
serving you a delicious array of crafty delights to celebrate not only the magical release of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ but also Make It Crafty's THIRD Birthday!!

What better way to celebrate than a tea party full of Make it Crafty fans?

As you chase the white rabbit down holes, through small doors, around corners and more…keep your eye out for hidden letters, collecting them along the way.   Simply decipher the ‘question’ and then enter the answer at the end of the hop for a chance to win the grand prize!

It wouldn’t be a fun tea party without hidden prizes along the way, so make sure you comment as you chase the rabbit for a chance to win more prizes!

Hopefully you’ve found your way through the door from Rebecca's Blog, but if you’ve just fallen down the hole then you might want to start back at Zoe's Blog.

The guests were given the option to play with 6 images from the new collection and I chose to get creative with Sweet Alice and Alice and White Rabbit.

My first card uses the adorable image, Sweet Alice.  I colored the image in nontraditional Alice in Wonderland colors because I wanted to show the versatility of the image.   You could absolutely use this card in an Alice and Wonderland themed project, but you don't have to.

Isn't this an adorable image?  I colored her with my copic markers.  Here are the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Pinks: RV000, R81, R83, R85
Blues: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
Shadow around image: W2, W4, Blender

My DP is from My Mind's Eye.  The flourish is from a Memory Box Die (it's called the La Rue die, I got mine at Ellen Hutson).  I also added a bow and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The metal tag embellishment is from Michael's from Studio G (dollar section).  Here are a couple more pictures:

For my second card, I chose to work with the image titled Alice and the White Rabbit and for this one, I did stick to traditional Alice in Wonderland colors.

I again colored the image with copics.  Here are the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair: Y21, YR23, E33, E35
Blues: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
Apron: E42, E43, E44
Rabbit: W1 for a light shadow (I wanted to keep him white)
Shadow around image: W2, W4, W6, Blender

My DP is from DCWV (Once Upon a Time mat stack).  I added a bow and some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The jewel in the center of the bow came from Michael's (I've had it in my stash).  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.  Here are a couple more pictures:

Well, that's it from me today.  Thank you all so much as always for stopping by.  Don't forget to hop along and leave comments for a chance to win.  The fun doesn’t stop here and if you head through this door you’ll find your way to Kathleen's Blog
