Blog Hop for Suzanne - You are Fabulous!

Hi everyone!!  It's almost Christmas and though we all have family and friends we enjoy spending time with at this time of the year, we also have family and friends that we don't see or visit with often enough but still mean just as much to us!  Us gals on the Design Team of Color Me Creative Challenge Site wanted to take a moment to say send a big HUG and a special thanks to our fearless leader, Suzanne Dean.

Suzanne HAS to be the easiest and sweetest person to work with and, as many of you know from reading her blog, about the funniest too (though sometimes we ALL think she'd be better off leaving the house in bubble wrap! LOL)  *Kidding!!*

As you may have figured out, Suzanne adores the time she spends with her family and quite often shares her travels and outings with us.  So, as a little way to encourage her to continue doing what she loves best AND to keep sharing it with us... the DT would like to invite you to share in our little blog hop sharing our creations for Suzanne that remind us of family, sharing, recording memories and love.  Suzanne is a perfect example of how to share as much time as you can with those you love and to create memories that will last a lifetime for generations to come.

So here's to you, Suzanne... we love you, your crazy ways and think you are just like family to us as well.

My card today for Suzanne is a bit tongue in cheek (not the "you are fabulous" part because Suzanne, you are fabulous!), but what the girl is doing . . . yep, she's talking on the phone :)  I have learned through the years of reading Suzanne's blog that she and I have quite a bit in common.  One kind of funny, slightly odd thing we have in common is that Suzanne and I both HATE talking on the phone.  I absolutely despise it.  Sometimes, I even break out in a sweat before making a phone call.  I'm an attorney and I have no problems at all speaking to a judge or in front of a jury or asking a defendant questions during cross examination on the witness stand, but I HATE talking on the phone :)  Anyway, Suzanne, I know you hate it too and I thought this image might make you laugh :)

This super sweet image is from Whiff of Joy.  I of course colored her with my copic markers.  Here are the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Pinks: RV000, R81, R83, R85, R89
Blues: BG000, BG01, BG05, BG09
Puppy: C3, C5, C7, C9
Bag: E41, E42, E43, E44, E49

My cardstock is from SU.  My DP is from Doodlebug.  I added a ribbon and some bling (both from Michael's), pearls, and some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The dies were made using a Memory Box die.  The sentiment comes with the image.

Now head on over to Julie Price's Blog to continue the hop and enjoy the awesome project she is sharing with Suzanne.  If you missed the beginning of the hop, you can head on over to TIna's Blog to start from the beginning.  I'll also have a complete Blog Hop list for you at the bottom of this post.

Thanks for stopping by and we hope you have a VERY Merry Christmas and that you make all the memories and treasured times you can with your family and friends!

We love you, Suzanne and thank you for another fabulous year with the CMC DT "family"!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!!!

Hi everyone and Happy Sunday! :)  I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend.  I have a new card to share with you today so I'll get right to it:

For my card today, I just had to ink up this adorable image.  It's called Winter Wishes Wryn by Tiddly Inks and I just love her!  I inked the image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and stamped her onto Copic Xpress Blending Card.  I of course colored the image with Copic Markers.  Here are the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Pinks: RV000, R81, R83, R85, R89
Black: C3, C5, C9
Shadow: W2, W4, Blender

My DP is from MME.  I added lots of glitter.  Here's a tip for adding glitter: spread Glossy Accents over the area and then dump your glitter over it, then tap the excess off.  The Glossy Accents holds the glitter really well and when it dries, it's extra shiny because the Glossy Accents leaves a nice sheen with the glitter on top.  I also added a ribbon and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts (I always use Scor Tape to adhere my flowers and bows, it works perfectly every time).  Here's a picture that shows the glitter a bit better:

What do you think?  Well, that's it from me today.  Thanks so much for stopping by and make sure to stop by 7 Kids College Fund for all your crafting needs.

Love is in the Air

Hi everyone and Happy Friday :)  I'm so excited the weekend is almost here, this has been one crazy work week.  Sorry for my lack of posting and commenting this week, I will get caught up this weekend :)  I'm so excited to share my card with you today.  The new challenge is up over at the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog.  Our challenge this time is ribbons or lace.  We are also debuting two new images over at All Dressed Up Stamps so make sure to check them out :)

For my card today, I just had to use this new image called Love Is in the Air.  I absolutely adore this image and it was oh so fun to color.  I printed the image onto  Copic Xpress Blending Card.  I of course colored the image with Copic Markers.  Here are the colors I used:

Blues: BG000, BG01, BG05, BG09
Pinks: RV000, R81, R83, R85
Balloon Baskets: E41, E42, E43, E44, E47
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20

I added lots of glitter to the balloons..  Here's a tip for adding glitter: I put Glossy Accents down wherever I want my glitter, then sprinkle my glitter over top (I just use Martha Stewart fine coarse glitter that I got at Michael's).  The Glossy Accents holds the glitter perfectly and when it dries, it is super sparkly.  Love it :)  I created my card base out of SU cardstock.  My DP is from Bo Bunny (last year's Valentine's stack).  The corner embellishments were made using a Memory Box die.  I also added lace with the pink pom poms (this was from the dollar spot at Michael's).  Finally, I added roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.  What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today.  Please stop by the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog to check out all the DT creations and to join in the challenge.  Big hugs!
