You and Me

Good evening everyone,

A double posting from me today :) I came home from work and decided to do the sketch challenge over on Splitcoast (SC193).

I stamped Tilda with Memento black ink onto GP cardstock, colored her with copics, and cut her out. I added Diamond Stickles to her wings and used my Sakura glitter pen to add some sparkle to the flowers in her basket. Next, I stamped the tree (also from Magnolia stamps) onto GP cardstock and colored it in with my copics. I also colored the sky and grass with copics. It's a bit difficult to see in the picture, but in the heart carved in the tree, I wrote You + Me with my black pen. When I was creating this scene, I was imagining that Tilda's love, Edwin, was away from home and Tilda was out, picking flowers, and gazing back at "their tree" where Edwin carved this sweet sentiment. Am I cheesy or what?!?! LOL! :) I am a hopeless romantic, what can I say :)

Next I created my card base, which measures 5x7, out of SU's Rose Red and layered on top of that Always Artichoke followed by Brocade Blue. I adhered a strip of designer paper from Amanda Blu on the left hand side of the card base and then adhered three strips of designer paper across the card base (this designer paper is also from Amanda Blu).

I then mounted my tree image onto SU's Rose Red, followed by Brocade Blue, followed by Always Artichoke. I then adhered that panel to the card base using dimensionals. I then adhered Tilda to the panel using dimensionals. For a finishing touch, I placed primas and a MS pearl in the bottom right hand corner.

Thanks so much for looking. Have a lovely evening. More tomorrow :)

Christine :)
