Home Sweet Home

Good evening everyone,

I'm sorry for yet another late post. It was a crazy day at work today, but when I got home, a package was waiting for me and it was my new Magnolia stamps! I couldn't wait to ink them up. I decided to participate in another challenge over on Splitcoast, today's Ways to Use it Challenge. For the challenge, we had to use copic markers in our project. I love my copics so this was a fun challenge! :) I'm still learning and still need more copic colors, but I'm pretty happy with the way this card turned out.

I stamped the house from Magnolia stamps onto Georgia Pacific (GP) cardstock and then colored it in with copic markers. I stamped Tilda from Magnolia stamps onto a separate piece of GP cardstock, colored her with copics, and then cut her out. I mounted the house onto SU's Close to Cocoa cardstock and then mounted that onto SU's Rose Red cardstock. My card base (measuring 5 1/2 by 5 1/2) is SU's Chocolate Chip. I layered SU's Berry Bliss DP (which unfortunately just retired, I'm so glad I stocked up) onto Rose Red and then mounted that onto my card base. I then mounted my house image onto the card base using dimensionals. I placed glossy accents on the windows of the house and placed primas in the top left corner. The pearls are from Michael's. Finally, I popped Tilda with dimensionals and added diamond Stickles to her wings.

If you are interested in purchasing Magnolia stamps, we finally have a retailer in the US. Send Diana Crick (of Scor-Pal) an e-mail at magnolia.us@shaw.ca and she will send you a list of all Magnolias she has in stock. Also, come check out the new Magnolia Yahoo group, there is amazing talent over there. The group is called Magnolia-licious.

I'd love to hear what you think of my card. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a lovely evening.

Christine :)
