High Hopes Challenge #8

Happy Tuesday everyone :) I'm sorry I haven't posted in a couple of days, but I've been fighting a sinus infection. I'm feeling a bit better this evening and I hope to be back to normal soon :)

My card today is my submission for this week's challenge over at High Hopes. Our challenge this week was to use both buttons and brads on our cards.

For my card, I first stamped the reflecting pond (from High Hopes) onto Georgia Pacific cardstock and colored it in with my copics. I then masked it and stamped the castle (also from High Hopes) behind it. I colored the castle and the surrounding landscape with my copics as well. Next, I stamped the princess and the frog (both from High Hopes) onto GP cardstock, colored them with copics, cut them out, and added stickles.

Next, I created my card base, which measures 5 1/2 by 5 1/2, out of SU's Sage Shadow. I layered Pretty in Pink on top of that followed by Perfect Plum. I then adhered my design paper, from DCWV's Once Upon a Time Stack, as well as a pink ribbon from Michael's dollar bin. Next, I layered my image panel onto Perfect Plum, followed by Pretty in Pink, followed by Sage Shadow. I used SU's ticket corner punch in the corners and added pink sparkly brads from Memory Makers to each corner. I then adhered the image panel to the card base using dimensionals. I adhered the princess and the frog to the image as well using dimensionals. Finally, I adhered my "buttons" (I actually don't have any buttons (I know, I know, I need to get some ASAP :) ) so I used brads in the shape of buttons but cut off the prongs) to the card base.

I would love to hear what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you are all having a wonderful week. More tomorrow :)
Hugs, Christine :)
