Shop 'Till You Drop

Hi everyone and Happy Saturday! :) I'm so glad the weekend is here :) My card for today is my submission for two challenges. I used this week's Sketch Challenge over on Splitcoast for my layout and I also entered this card in this week's challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar. Our challenge this week was to use paper piecing on our card.

The stamps I used for this card are from Rubber Romance and are available at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. I first stamped the Paris scene onto PTI cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with copics. I next stamped Melanie onto a separate piece of PTI cardstock, colored her with copics, and cut her out. I paper pieced the shopping bags using design paper from Amanda Blu.

I next created my card base, which measures 5x7, out of SU's Rose Red. I layered Basic Black on top of that followed by my design paper by Amanda Blu. I layered my Paris scene onto my SU cardstock and then onto the card base with dimensionals and then layered Melanie onto the scene with dimensionals. Finally, I added Primas and pearls to the card for a finishing touch. What do you think?

Don't forget to stop by Pez-A-Doodle Designs. Marti has redone her website and if you type in newsite10 when you place your order, you will get 10% off of everything!!! Also, I have some exciting news from Susana's Store. Susana will be bringing in three new stamp lines in the next few weeks, so make sure to stay tuned for that :)

***Blog Candy Winner Announcement -- I have not heard yet from Lucy who won my blog candy. Lucy, please contact me by midnight tomorrow (Sunday, January 18th) or else I will pick another winner on Monday morning.

That's it from me today. I hope your weekends are off to a great start. I'll be back tomorrow with another project.

Hugs, Christine :)

...and they lived happily ever after.
