Tilda: Home Sweet Home

Good morning everyone,

Before I talk about my card today, I have some exciting news to share. This Saturday, I am taking a copics class with Suzanne Dean. Her coloring is amazing, check out her blog here: http://www.scrapbitz.blogspot.com/. I'm so excited to learn from her. Suzanne is also giving away some great blog candy on her blog so be sure to check that out.

Okay, onto my card for today. I just can't get enough of these adorable Magnolia stamps :) I'm sorry this picture isn't the greatest, it's another dreary day here today and it was difficult to get a good picture this morning. Also, I promise, in real life, the card isn't crooked (I have no idea why it looks crooked in the picture) :)

I stamped the Tilda and the house (also from Magnolia stamps) onto GP cardstock, colored them with copics, and cut them out. I used an exacto knife to cut open the door of the house. I then ran a piece of SU's Brocade Blue through the cuttlebug using a swirly embossing folder, then mounted that onto SU's Regal Rose and then mounted that onto SU's So Saffron.

Next, I created my card base, which measures 5 1/2 by 5 1/2, out of SU's Brocade Blue and layered on top of that So Saffron folowed by Regal Rose, followed by DP from Me and My Big Ideas. I used SU's Ticket Corner punch on the corners and placed pearls from Michael's in the conrers. I used some pink ribbon from Michael's and tied a bow and adhered that on the left hand side of the card base. I then adhered the smaller panel to the card base using dimensioanls. I then adhered the house to the panel using dimensionals and then I adhered Tilda using dimensionals. I added glitter to Tilda's wing using my Sakura glitter pen.

The sentiment is from PTI's Boards and Beams set. I inked it in Versafine black onyx ink and stamped it onto Brocade Blue. I then layered it onto Regal Rose followed by So Saffron. SU's Ticket Corner punch was used on the corners and I adhered the sentiment with dimensionals.

I would love to hear what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hugs,

Christine :)
