Dance

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! I'm so excited that the three day weekend is finally here, I need a break :) My stepbrother is getting married this weekend so we are off to Magiano's (one of my favorite restaurants) for the rehearsal dinner tonight and then the wedding is Sunday. Other than that, I plan to rest and craft! :) Well, yesterday I put on the suit that I had to buy in a size up and guess what . . . it was too big on me! It fit when I tried it on so I'm hoping that means that I'm losing some weight (I refuse to weigh myself yet because I don't want to get discouraged if I haven't lost as much as I'd like) :) Hopefully my time with Jillian will pay off LOL :)

For my card today, I decided to ink up this gorgeous Ballerina Tilda. I think she's one of my absolute favorite Magnolia images ever. I used to dance when I was younger and I took up classes again in college. I LOVE to dance, it's something I really wish I had pursued back in the day. I colored the image with copics (pinks: R81, R83, R85, R89; skin: E00, E01, E11, RV21; hair: E33, E35, E37), sponged around the image with SU's Rose Red ink, and then added Stardust Stickles to her ballet shoes and to her crown. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock (Rose Red and Not Quite Navy (I love this combination)). The design paper is from K&Co. For some finishing touches I added a bow, a ballerina charm, pearls, dew drops, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today. Thank you all so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend!

Very pretty. Love the deep pink and navy. I'm just the opposite I weigh myself every day so hopefully I can nip in problems in the bud.

This is so pretty Christine! I too love this image and I still don't have it because Diana still has it on backorder. Your coloring is beautiful! I love the way you highlighted Tilda by sponging the edges of that panel. She looks like she's on stage with the light shining behind her! Love the little ballerina charm you used too... Gorgeous work...

Oh so pretty!! I bet your ahppy the suit is loose!! Looks like our workout is working!!! I started eating healthier today!! I would love to lose 15 to 20 pounds. Not eating enough, staying up way too late and not exercising has added about 10 to 15 pounds on me in the last 2 years.
Hugs:)
