Fairytale Tilda and a Sweet Pea pirate

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! :) The work week is almost over, thank goodness. It's been a crazy one this week and I'm looking forward to a little down time this weekend :) Any exciting plans for the weekend? Hubby and I are just going to celebrate Easter at home this year. And of course, we'll watch the Mountaineers take on Duke tomorrow . . . Let's Go Mountaineers! :):) Should be a pretty low key weekend, sometimes those are the best kind :) Well, since I didn't get a chance to post yesterday, I have two cards to share with you today so I'll keep my chit chat short.

For my first card, I used this adorable new Magnolia stamp from the Fairytale collection. This particular image is called Fairytale Tilda and I think she's just precious. I colored her with copics (hair: Y21, E33; skin: E00, E01, E11, R20; dress: R81, R83, R85; frog: G24, G28) and then added some Diamond Stickles to her wings. I then cut the image out using my circle nestabilities. While the image was still in the nestability die, I sponged around the image with SU's Pretty in Pink ink. Next, I created my card base out of SU cardstock (Certainly Celery and Rose Red). The design paper is from The Paper Company (I got it at Michael's). For a finishing touch, I added a bow (tied with my Bow Easy) and some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

For my second card today, I used another gorgeous image from ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection from Sweet Pea Stamps. This particular image is called Caribbean Treasure and boy was this image fun to color. I colored the image with copics and sponged around the image with SU Bashful Blue ink. I added gold glitter to her bracelets, earring, and the treasure in the treasure chest. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock (Brocade Blue and Rose Red). The design paper is from My Mind's Eye (Home Collection). For some finishing touches, I added pearls, a bow, a heart charm (from Michael's), and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Thanks for reading this far, I didn't mean for this to be such a long post :) As always, thank you all so much for stopping by. I hope you all have a lovely Easter weekend.

Big Hugs, Christine :)
