Celebrate

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! :) I hope you are all having a wonderful week. I was so excited to ink up this new image from Polka Dot Pie. This image is called Carnival With Pezzy and I think she is just adorable! :)

I used this week's Sketch Challenge over on Splitcoast for my layout. I stamped Pezzy with Memento Black Ink onto PTI cardstock and colored her in with copics. I used my purple Sakura glitter pen to add some glitter to her mask and necklace and I used my Copic Gold Glitter Pen to add glitter to the fleur de lis design on her shirt.

I next created my card base, which measures 5 1/4 by 5 1/4, out of SU's Basic Black. I layered Pale Plum on top of that followed by Elegant Eggplant, followed by my design paper by Amanda Blu. I used my nesties to cut out the scalloped circles and adhered Pezzy to the circles and the circles to each other with dimensionals. I created another ribbon blossom (I'm much prouder of this one than my first, but I still need practice :)), using ribon from Michael's. I used a stamp set by Hot of the Press called Tiny Words for the sentiment. This set is so versatile, it really has almost any sentiment I need. I used Versamagic Purple Hydrangea ink for the sentiment and I used SU's Word Window Punch to punch it out. What do you think?

I also wanted to let you all know that Marti, the owner of Pez-A-Doodle Designs is having some huge giveaways coming up. Marti is giving away a $40 gift certificate to her store! If you have any stamps from the new Polkadot Pie line simply post your projects on your favorite forum and then go to Marti's Blog and post a link to your project on This Post. If you create something OTHER than a card you will get TWO entries. You can enter as many times as you want to increase your odds of winning!! The winner will be selected randomly on February 14th. Also, my design team sister Catherine is giving away two Pokadot Pie stamp sets today so make sure to visit her blog and enter for a chance to win. I will be giving away two more sets next week during CHA, so stay tuned for that as well! :)

Also, next week during CHA, tune in to Marti's Blog. She will be blogging from CHA and will give us some info on the new goodies coming out. If you leave a comment on Marti's blog every day during CHA, you will be entered for a chance to win an entire set of the new alcohol ink colors, an $84.00 value. Wow, that's a lot of goodies, huh?!?! :)

I have one final announcement and then I'm done, I promise :) Make sure to check out Susana's Custom Art and Card Design Store Blog, Follow Your Heart. My DT sister Danni has prepared an awesome tutorial on paper piecing. We will have tutorials on the store blog every Thursday--and next week will be "Stamping on Candles"!

Okay, I'm finally done :) Thanks so much for stopping by. See you back here tomorrow :)

Big Hugs, Christine :)
