Hello everyone and Happy Monday :) I'm so sorry for the late posting, it was another crazy day today . . . just another Manic Monday :) Anyway, I read on my friend Ila's Blog that Tina, the wonderful owner of High Hopes Rubber Stamps, has a grandfather who is turning 88 on January 21st and she was wondering if anyone would be willing to make him a birthday card. Even though my cards are definitely pretty girly :), I jumped at the chance. I thought this would would be a really nice thing to do for him.
All stamps used are High Hopes. I stamped the forest scene onto PTI cardstock and colored it with copics. I then stamped the monkey (Small Mike), colored him with copics, and cut him out. I adhered him to the forest scene with dimensionals. I then stamped the banana, colored it with copics, and adhered it to the monkey's hand with dimensionals. Next, I created my card base, which measures 5 1/2 by 5 1/2, out of SU's Old Olive. I layered Going Gray on top of that followed by my design paper from DCWV. For a finishing touch, I added Prima flowers and glittery Making Memories brads. The sentiment on the inside is also from High Hopes.
I sure hope Tina's grandfather likes the card :) Well, that's it from me today, I have a lot of crafting to do this evening. Don't forget about my blog candy. You have until midnight tomorrow to leave a comment on This Post for a chance to win. Hope your week is off to a great start. I'll see you back here tomorrow :) Hugs, Christine
