Butterfly

Hello everyone and Happy Sunday :) I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. I'm so sorry I haven't posted in almost a week. I was so busy this past week with work that I didn't have any time at all to make it to the craft room. I have been crafting up a storm this weekend though and have some fun projects to share.

For my card today, I just had to ink up another stamp from ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection
, available at Sweet Pea Stamps. This one is called Come Softly and I just love this image. I first stamped the image using Memento Black ink onto PTI cardstock, and then I colored the image with copics (dress: R85, R83; hair: E33, E35, E37; Skin: E00, E01, E11; Butterfly: RV93, RV95; Border: R83, R81). I added some glitter from my Sakura glitter pen to the pink in her hair. I added Stickles to the center of the butterfly and I traced around the inside of the butterfly with a lavender sakura glitter pen. Next I created my card base out of SU paper (Perfect Plum and Pretty in Pink). The design paper is from DCWV's Rustic Stack (this stack is gorgeous, I found mine at Jo Anne's). I used my Martha Stewart edge punch on the top panel of design paper and I used my ticket corner punch on the corners. I added lavender pearls from Michael's to each corner. I added ribbon and a bow and heart charm. Finally, for a finishing touch, I added my flowers, which are a combination of Primas and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Thank you all so much for stopping by. I'll see you back here tomorrow :)

Dreams

Hi everyone and Happy Monday :) I couldn't help myself, I had to create another card using this beautiful image from Sweet Pea Stamps. This is another image from ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection. I shared a card with this same image a few weeks ago and I decided to make another card with a different color scheme. I colored my image with copics and then I added Glossy Accents to the eyes and Diamond Stickles to her necklace. I decided to create an easel card, these are so fun and easy to make and are a great way to display your cards. All cardstock is SU (Basic Black and Rose Red) and the DP is SU as well. I used my SU ticket corner punch on the corners and added pearls from Michael's. On the bottom piece of DP on the main panel, I used my Martha Stewart edge punch. I then added Primas and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. On the base panel, I added a bow. The sentiment is also from Sweet Pea Stamps. What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today. I'm not sure when I'll be back this week, I've got some crazy busy stuff going on at work, but I'll be back as soon as I can with another card for you. Thank you all so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day :)

Enchanted Mermaid

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! :) Phew, I cannot believe I've been away from my blog all week. With all the days we missed at work due to the massive snow storm, I had so much to catch up on this week. When I come home in the evenings, hubby and I have been glued to the TV watching the Olympics so I haven't been in my craft room much. I decided last night that I would record the Olympics so I could create a card :)

As I've mentioned numerous times, I am in LOVE with Sweet Pea Stamps. My card today features Poppy Love from ching chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection. I inked the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped it onto PTI cardstock. I colored the image with copics and then sponged around the image with Rose Red Memento ink. I next created my card base with SU cardstock (Rose Red and Mellow Moss). The design paper is from K & Co. I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the top piece of design paper. This is my favorite border punch, I can't remember what its official name is, but I love it :) Next, I tied my ribbon (from the Basic Basic collection at Michael's) with my wonderful Bow Easy. Finally, for a finishing touch, I added roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. I also added some branches from my Martha Stewart branch punch to add a bit more texture to the flowers. What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today. Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend. I'll see you back here tomorrow with another project.

Hearts

Hi everyone and Happy Monday and Happy President's Day to those of you in the US. I cannot believe I haven't posted since Wednesday, I'm so sorry about that. We were finally able to dig out of all the snow (at least partially) and I headed back to work on Friday. We had today off because of President's Day which is nice, but I have so much to do at work, I'm kind of anxious to get back tomorrow. Are any of you watching the Olympics? I have been glued to the TV the last few days. I love the Olympics. The summer games are my favorite, but I love watching the winter games too.

Anyway, enough chit chat and on to my long overdue card post :) I made this as one of many Valentine's Day cards I sent out to friends and family. For this card, I used Elegant Heart Ribbon and Dangling Tilda (which I don't see in Diana's store but I'm sure if you e-mail her, she can get it for you) from Magnolialicious. I actually stamped the ribbon and then cut it out and covered it with Diamond Stickles. I cut Tilda out as well after coloring with copics (R81, R83, R85, R89, E31, E33, E00, E01, and E11) and added some Diamond Stickles to the hearts in her little container. I then created my card base using SU cardstock (Rose Red and Regal Rose). My design paper is also from SU. I used my SU Ticket Corner punch on the corners and then added pearls from Michael's. I adhered the bow and Tilda to the ovals (which I cut out using my nestabilities; I also ran the top oval through my cuttlebug using the swiss dots embossing folder) with dimensionals. The ribbon is also from Michael's and I tied this double bow using my awesome Bow Easy. Finally, I added some primas and some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and I added some punches from my Martha Stewart branch punch to add a little more dimension to the flowers. What do you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by, your sweet comments mean the world to me. Thanks again and have a wonderful day :)

Happy Valentine's Day from Tilda

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday :) Well, after the thirty or so inches of snow we received over the weekend we are now expecting an extra 10-17 inches on top of that. Ugh! I've never minded winter too much, but this one is changing my mind :) I'm so ready for spring. I hope wherever you are you are staying warm and safe (the roads here are just terrible). Luckily, the office is closed today so I don't have to venture out in the ickiness.

For my card today, I decided to use this adorable Magnolia image. I really think this is one of my favorites. It's called "Tilda With Rose" and you can get it right HERE. I colored the image with my copics (R89 and R85 for the rose, R81, 83, 85, and 89 for her dress, E33, 35, 37 for her hair) and then added Diamond Stickles to the bow in her hair, her wings, and to the rose. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock (Very Vanilla, Pretty in Pink, and Rose Red). The design paper is from DCWV's Rustic Stack (love this paper!). I used my SU ticket corner punch on the corners and added pink pearls from Michael's. I added pink silk ribbon (also from Michael's) and tied the bow using my Bow Easy. I added a heart charm to dress up the bow a little bit. Finally, I added roses from Wild Orchid Crafts for a finishing touch. The sentiment is a Studio G stamp that I got from Michael's. What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today. I have tons more Valentine's projects to make before the end of the week (nothing like waiting until the last minute :)) so I'm off to get busy. Hope you all have a wonderful day and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for stopping by.

Big Hugs, Christine :)

Hey Lady

Hi everyone and Happy Monday :) I'm getting this post in just under the wire :) Sorry for the late posting today. My office was shut down today as we are all still trying to dig out from the 2 plus feet of snow we received. I got a case of the sleepies and was not very productive today at all. We are supposed to be getting more snow tomorrow and into Wednesday! Possibly up to 18 inches. Ugh, I'm so tired of the snow, hurry up spring!!! :)

Well, I just have a simple card for you today. I needed a simple and mailable card for a friend of mine and this is what I came up with. I stamped this adorable Tilda image with Memento Black ink onto PTI cardstock and colored it with copics. It's hard to tell from the picture, but I put a good dose of Glossy Accents over the ladybug to make it super shiny. I then created my card base using SU cardstock (Barely Banana and Real Red). My design paper is a mixture of DCWV and SU. I used my Fiskar's Threading Water edge punch on the top design paper panel and then placed red rhinestones over the holes. I then added a red silk bow for a finishing touch. It's really simple, but it was quick and easy to make :)

I hope you are all having a wonderful Monday. Hopefully we'll all be able to get back to work tomorrow, it's nice to have a routine. Thank you so much for stopping by. I'll see you back here tomorrow with a new post.

Big Hugs, Christine :)

An Enchanted Valentine

Hi everyone and Happy Saturday to you :) I'm so sorry I haven't posted since Tuesday. It's been crazy around here. Wednesday night I had to go to the emergency room because I was having severe chest pains. I'm only twenty-eight so I was pretty confident that it wasn't a heart attack, but boy did it hurt. Hubby drove me and we were there about four hours or so. They still don't know what caused the pain, but they do know that it was nothing serious so I'm so grateful for that. After that, I took Thursday off of work and then yesterday and today, we've been pounded by over two feet of snow! I really don't mind it too much though because that means I have an excuse to stay in and craft :) I have two cards to share today so I'll end my chit chat and get to the projects :)

If you have not checked out Sweet Pea Stamps you must do so! They have so many cute stamps, but my absolute favorites are the stamps in the Fantasy Art Collection by ching-chou kuik These illustrations are absolutely breathtaking and are a dream to color. For my first card, I used Love is Gone from a recent new release. I colored the image with my copics and then added Martha Stewart glitter all around her wings. I added Glossy Accents to her eyes and Diamond Stickles to the roses. My cardstock is all from Stampin Up (Pretty in Pink and Rose Red) and the design paper is from DCWV (Rustic stack). I added these beautiful roses from Wild Orchid Crafts for a finishing touch. Finally, the sentiment is from Studio G. I thought this would be a sweet Valentine's card for my niece. What do you think?

For my second card today, I used another stamp from Sweet Pea Stamps. This one is called Butterfly. I first colored my image with copics and then I added Glossy Accents to her eyes, Martha Stewart glitter to her wings, and purple glitter from my Sakura glitter pen to her wings and dress. I then sponged around the image with Versamagic Purple Hydrangea ink. My cardstock is all SU and my design paper is from DCWV (Rustic Stack). I added a purple ribbon which I got at Michael's (I tied the bow using my awesome Bow Easy). I've discovered that the "Basic Basic" brand of ribbon from Michael's (they have different colors in both grosgrain and silk) is really good ribbon, I highly recommend it. I used my SU Ticket Corner punch on the corners and added lavender pearls (also from Michael's). I also added three pearls to the image itself. The flowers are a combination of Primas and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used my Martha Stewart branch punch as well to add more texture to the flowers. Finally, the sentiment is from Studio G. I cut the sentiment out using my oval nesties. What do you think?

Well, apparently I had a lot to say today :) Whew! Thanks for making it this far, I'll try not to be so long-winded next time :) I'll be busy in my craft room tomorrow working on more projects to share next week. As always, thank you so much for stopping by. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I will see you back here on Monday.

S.W.A.K. (Sealed With a Kiss)

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday! :) I have super quick post for you today. I love Valentine's Day and I love creating cards for the occasion (probably because pink is my favorite color) :) For my card today, I decided to use this adorable new stamp from Whiff of Joy called Charlotte with Mailbox. I colored the image with copics and then added some Stardust Stickles to the letters. I then created my card using SU cardstock (Rose Red and Pretty in Pink). All design paper is from K & Co. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch on the bottom. I then added swirls using This Punch and pearls. The ribbon was tied with my Bow Easy. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Finally, the sentiment is from an old Studio G set. What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today. Sorry for the quick post, but I have so much to get done today and not enough hours to do it all in :) Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Magic

Hi everyone and happy Monday! :) I hope your week is off to a great start. I'm super excited to share my cards with you today. A few weeks ago, I was browsing Splitcoast and saw some gorgeous fairy and mermaid images from a company called Sweet Pea Stamps. As those of you who have followed me for a while know, I love anything that has to do with fairy tales or magical things, so of course, I had to check them out. I was in Heaven when I went to Sweet Pea Stamps and discovered ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection.

For my first card, I used an image called Red Hearts. Isn't she gorgeous? I just love her. I colored her with copics and added glitter to her wings and along the outside of her wings. I then created my card using cardstock from SU (Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, and Rose Red). The design paper is a combination of paper from My Mind's Eye (Laundry Line collection) and DCWV's Once Upon a Time collection. I decided to make the image the central focus of the card so I didn't add a sentiment or any extra embellies (I know, that's totally odd for me) :):)

For my second card today, I used an image called Winter Watcher. I colored the image with copics and added Glossy Accents to the eyes (this doesn't really show in the photograph, but it really is a great touch). I then created my card using SU cardstock (Brocade Blue and Night of Navy) and My Mind's Eye design paper. I added a ribbon, which I tied with my Bow Easy and Prima flowers. The sentiment is also from Sweet Pea Rubber Stamps. For a finishing touch, I added three pearls to the bottom left hand corner. What do you think?

I hope you enjoyed my cards today. Thank you all so much for taking the time to stop by, it truly means so much to me. Have a wonderful day and I'll see you back here tomorrow! :)
