Sweet Pea Stamps Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sweet Pea Stamps Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sweet Pea Stamps New Artist Release Blog Hop! If you would like to start at the beginning of the blog hop, please return to the Sweet Pea Stamps blog.

Sweet Pea Stamps is excited to announce its newest artist:
Brigid Ashwood
Brigid creates beautiful and whimsical fantasy images. The ones I adore the most is her Phunky Phairies.

Today, the Sweet Pea Stamps DT has previews of each of the amazing new images, including a new sheet of her Phunky Pharies images. This sheet is a first in a series of Brigid Ashwoods Phunky Phairies that will be released by Sweet Pea Stamps.

The card I prepared for you today uses one of these adorable Phunky Pharies images called Pinky. I had SO much fun coloring this image up and creating my card. I love Brigid's fun, funky, cute style. I colored the image with copics. I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from MME. For some finishing touches, I added dew drops, a bow, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Also being released today is another new artist of ours:
Nikki Burnette
Nikki has a large selection of fairies, mermaids, witches, etc., something for everyone. She is one talented artist.

Twilight Halloween

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that your week is off to a great start. If you didn't get a chance to see the pop up card I posted yesterday, please scroll down to the post right before this one. I would love to hear any feedback you may have :)

For my card today, I decided to use this gorgeous image from Sweet Pea Stamps. This particular image is illustrated by the fabulous Elaine Cox and is called Twilight Halloween. This image is so gorgeous and so fun to color! I decided to go with nontraditional colors for this Halloween card. I colored the image with copics and then added a dot of Glossy Accents to the owl's eyes. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My design paper is from The American Paper Co. (I got it at Michael's). The sentiment is from Studio G. For some finishing touches, I added a bow (tied with my Bow Easy), pearls, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today. Make sure and stop by tomorrow, the Sweet Pea Stamps DT is having a blog hop to celebrate a new artist for the shop. I can't wait! :) Thanks so much as always for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Kraftin Kimmie Halloween Pop-Up

Hi everyone and Happy Sunday!!! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. We've had a great one so far. Yesterday we ran some errands, I worked in the craft room a lot, and we watched a lot of football (unfortunately our Mountaineers lost, but it was a good game). Hope to get some more craft time in today along with some household chores.

I'm so excited to share my card with you today. This card took me two days to finish, but I'm really happy with the results. I love the new Halloween images from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps so I decided to create a spooky pop up card scene. I apologize in advance, but this post has lots of pictures :) Here's a long angled view of the inside pop-up section:

Now, going back to the beginning, I created the front of my card first. I kept it really simple since the main focus of the card is the inside pop-up scene. Here's the front:

And here are a bunch more pictures of the inside from different angles:

The witch and haunted house image as well as the image on the front of the card are all from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. All images were colored with copics. The fence, tree, and tomb stone on the inside of the card were cut from my Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge. I added Stardust Stickles to the witch's shirt and hat and to the inside of the windows and to the bat on the haunted house image. On the front side of the card, I added lavender pearls and a bow. On the inside, I added Primas and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is from Studio G.

I decided to enter this card into the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog contest. The challenge this week was to use orange, green, and purple. What do you think?

Whew, well, if you made it this far, thanks for sticking with me :) I had so much fun making this card, I hope you like it. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day! :)

Good Friends and Good Books

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! I hope you are all having a wonderful week. I have another super quick posting for you today. If you've been a follower of my blog for a little while now, you know how much I LOVE to read! :) When I saw this adorable Wags N Whiskers stamp, I knew I had to have it. I first colored the image with copics, and then sponged around the image while it was still in the rectangle nestability with SU's Pretty in Pink ink. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. The DP is from MME. For some finishing touches I added a bow, Primas, roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, and dew drops. The sentiment is from PTI's Book Lovers set (LOVE this set!!!) :) What do you think?

Well, thanks so much as always for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Goodbye to Summer

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday! :) I have a super quick posting for you today as I have to get to work early for a meeting. It's finally starting to get cooler here so sadly, it's time to say goodbye to summer :( At least we have the beauty of fall to look forward to, even if it means I'll have to dig out my sweaters :) For my card today, I decided to ink up a sweet summery image with which to say goodbye to summer with. This particular image is illustrated by Victoria Case and is available HERE from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. I colored the image with copics and then I shaded around the image with SU's Bashful Blue ink. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from MME. For some finishing touches I added a bow (tied with my Bow Easy), Primas, roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, and dew drops. What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day! :)

Starry Halloween

Hi everyone and Happy Sunday! I'm so sorry it's been so long since I've posted. Last week just sort of got away from me. I was so busy at work and I have also been fighting a cold so I've been a little run down. I've gotten some much needed R&R this weekend and of course, some time in the craft room :) I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend :)

When I saw this new image illustrated by Elaine Cox for Sweet Pea Stamps, I was so excited! This image is SO beautiful and SO much fun to color. It stamps beautifully too. The image is called Starry Halloween. I first stamped the image on Neenah white cardstock and then colored the image with copics (e-mail me if you want the list, I used a lot!). I added some Stardust Stickles to the stars in the sky and I added some Glossy Accents to the owl's eyes (this is hard to see in the pictures, but it really gives a nice, fun effect). Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from DCWV (the new Halloween stack, I got mine at JoAnn's). For some finishing touches, I added some purple Offrey ribbon (last weekend I went to the Offrey outlet in Hagerstown and got probably 20 pounds of ribbon for less than $20 . . . such a fun trip!) :). I also added some pearls and some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today. Thanks so much as always for stopping by. Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

Trick or Treat

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday! :) I hope you are all having a wonderful week. For my card today, I just had to ink up another of these cute little witches from Sweet Pea Stamps. This one is called Trick or Treat and I think she's absolutley adorable. I colored the image with copics and then added some Stardust Stickles to her little pumpkin treat bag. I then sponged around the image with light orange ink. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from MME (my favorite paper company!). For some finishing touches, I added some orange pearls, a double looped bow (which I tied with my bow easy), Primas, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today, I have a super crazy busy day ahead of me. I hope you all have a wonderful day. Thank you all so much for stopping by!

Sweet Little Halloween Witch - Sweet Pea Stamps

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! Another work week is here and boy is it a crazy busy week for me! I'm already looking forward to the weekend :) I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Hubby and I got some errands run, did some work around the house, and hubby watched tons of football while I played in the craft room. :) I got quite a bit done so I should have quite a few projects to share with you this week.

I'm so excited to share my card with you today. When Lynette, owner of Sweet Pea Stamps showed us these cute new Halloween witches illustrated by Elaine Cox, I just fell in love with them. I LOVE Halloween, it's one of my favorite holidays to make cards for. This little witch is called Magical Night and I think she is SO cute! I colored the image with copics and then added some Stardust Stickles to her stockings and to her broom (because what witch wouldn't want a sparkly broom?!?!) :) Next I sponged around the image with Versamagic Purple Hydrangea ink. I then created my card base out of SU cardstock (Basic Black, Perfect Plum). The DP is from Cosmo Cricket (Matilda stack . . . LOVE this paper). For some finishing touches, I added ribbon, a bow, pearls, Primas, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today. Thank you all so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day and I'll see you back here tomorrow :)

Happy Harvest

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! :) Another work week is almost done, any exciting plans for the weekend? Nothing much planned here, hopefully I'll get lots of time in the craft room :)

Well, the weather is slowly but surely starting to get a little bit cooler (crazy that I'm saying that 80 degrees is "cooler" but after the super hot summer we've had here, it is!). Fall will be here before we know it so I decided to create a fall card using this gorgeous image from Sweet Pea Stamps. This particular image is called Pick a Pumpkin. I had so much fun coloring this one. I colored the image with copics, sponged around the image with SU Real Red ink, and then added Stardust Stickles to the cat's wings. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from DCWV's new autumn stack (I got it at JoAnn's). For some finishing touches I added ribbon (I tied the double looped bow with my Bow Easy), Primas, pearls, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today. I hope you have a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Wrapped Up In You

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! :) I hope you are all having a fabulous week. I have a super quick post for you today, I have to run to get to a meeting at work. For my card today, I just had to ink up another of these adorable Halloween images from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I colored the image with copics and then sponged around the image in SU green ink. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. The DP is from Recollections (I got it at Michael's). The sentiment is also from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Can you believe I didn't add any embellishments to this card?!?!?! I usually can't make a card without ribbon, dew drops, roses, etc. :) I thought the paper was so cute I decided to keep this one simple to show off not only the image, but the cute paper too. What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today. Thank you all SO much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

A Sweet Pea Halloween

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! We've almost made it to the end of the week. I cannot wait until the three day weekend. Do any of my friends in the US have any exciting plans for Labor Day? I think we're just going to take it easy here, get some chores done around the house, maybe see a movie, and of course, I'll spend some time in the craft room :)

For my card today, I had to ink up this new Halloween image from Sweet Pea Stamps. This particular image is called Not Just a Pumpkin and I had so much fun coloring this one. Halloween is my favorite holiday to make cards for so I enjoyed putting this card together. I colored the image with copics and then sponged around the image with purple ink. I added some Stardust Stickles to the pumpkin for some sparkle. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock (Perfect Plum and Basic Black). My DP is from DCWV (the new Halloween stack, I just got it at JoAnn's). For some finishing touches, I added pearls, Primas, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today. I hope you all have a wonderful day and thank you all so much for stopping by.

...and they lived happily ever after.
