Honey Bee Stamps - Sea Full of Love

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.  I decided after making so many Christmas cards, it was time to take a break and do a bright, fun, and sparkly card.

For today's card, I decided to use the adorable mermaid stamp and assorted images from the Under the Sea Stamp Set by Honey Bee Stamps.  I stamped the images onto some Canson XL watercolor paper and then colored the images with my Zig Markers and a Detailer Water Brush.  Next, I cut the image out with the coordinating Under the Sea Honey Cuts Dies.  Next, I set the images aside and created my background.  I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolor 36 color set and a paint brush to create the fun background.  I then stamped the sentiment with some Versamark Ink and white heat  embossed it.  Then I adhered the panel onto a standard A2 sized notecard.  Next, I adhered all the images with some foam tape to create this fun scene. I also added lots of glitter to the images using my  Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.  I hope you enjoyed today's card.  Have a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year!!!

Video Tutorial - Lawn Fawn - Water Coloring a Fun Halloween Scene

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all having a wonderful day.  I have a fun new Halloween card to share with you using the adorable Happy Howloween Stamp Set from Lawn Fawn.  I have a video tutorial to share as well, showing how I put this card together:

To create my card, I stamped all of my images onto Canson XL watercolor paper and then colored them with my Zig Markers and my Detailer Water Brush.  I used the following colors:
Dog in pumpkin costumer: Dark Brown, Brown
Pumpkin Costume: Brown, Orange, Dark Brown
Dog in Witch Costume: Brown, Light Brown
Witch skirt: Black
Witch Hat: Black, Violet, Light Violet
Pumpkin bucket: Orange
Bone: Light Gray

I then cut out all of the images with the Coordinating Happy Howloween Die Cuts from Lawn Fawn.  This stamp set is so fun to play with, it's like paper dolls with puppies! :)  It's so fun to pick out their little outfits and dress them up :)

Next, I created my galaxy night sky background using my Gansai Tambi 36 set Watercolor Paint set.  Next, I cut out the tree frame and the little hillside using the Leafy Tree Backdrop - Portrait Die Set from Lawn Fawn.  I then stamped some bones from the stamp set onto the hillside using some Versamark Ink and some white embossing powder.  I then adhered the frame die and the hillside die to the watercolor panel with some Scor Tape (1/8 inch).  I then adhered the entire panel to a standard A2 sized card base with foam tape.  I then stamped the sentiment with some Versamark Ink onto some black cardstock and then embossed it with white embossing powder.  I then adhered it with foam tape.  I then adhered the puppies to the panel with foam tape.  I added some Metallic Gold Confetti Mix Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to the panel for a fun touch.  Finally,  I added some Ebony Black Nuvo Crystal Drops to the eyes and nose of the puppies to make them pop.  What do you think?

For my card, I used the gorgeous new release set called Friendship Blessings.  This image was a dream to watercolor.  I painted it using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush.  For the petals, I used Pale Rose and Deep Red.  I used Yellow for the centers of the flowers and Olive Green for the greenery.  Finally, I used Light Blue for the shadow around the image.  I also painted my own design paper using my Gansai Tambi watercolor paints.  I added some vellum and stamped my sentiment onto it and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.  I added some black Nuvo drops and also some Pink Champagne Sequins from Kennedy Grace.

Video Tutorial - MFT and Simon Says Stamp - Watercoloring a fun Halloween Scene on your Card

Hi everyone!  I have a new card and video up today combining some stamps from My Favorite Things and Simon Says stamp.  I water colored a galaxy/starry night sky background and the grass with my Gansai Tambi watercolor paints.  I also painted the images with my Zig Markers and a water brush.  You can view the video here:

For the Witch, I used the following Zig markers:
Hat: Black, Violet
Hair: Brown, Dark Brown
Dress: Violet, Light Violet
Shoes: Violet
For the pumpkin trick or treat baskets, I just used Orange
For Frankenstien, I used the following Zig markers:
Skin tone: Green, Light Green
Hair: Black
Shirt: Brown, Orange
Shoes: Black
Pants: Brown, Dark Brown
For the spooky house, I used the following Zig Markers:
Roofs: Dark Brown, Brown
Base of House: Brown, Light Brown
Inside Windows: Orange, Yellow
Door: Deep red
Exhaust Pipe: Gray, Light Gray

I used my Lawn Fawn Simple Grassy Hillside dies to cut out the grass.  I adhered everything to the card base with foam tape and also white heat embossed the sentiment.  What do you think?

Video Tutorial - Pinkfresh Designs - Watercoloring a Magical Scene on your Card

Hi everyone! :)  I hope you are having a wonderful week!  I'm here for Butterfly Reflections, Ink with a fun and magical watercolor card.  I created a video tutorial to show how  I made the card and you can see that here:

To create this card, I first created the background.  I painted some pink and blue paints from my Gansai Tambi 36 Color Watercolor Set.  I then used my Gansai Tambi Starry Colors Paints to coat the cardstock (after it's dry) with a gold shimmer.  I then stamped the beautiful unicorn from the Unicorn Dreams Stamp Set from Pinkfresh Studio onto watercolor paper and the used my Gansai Tambi 36 Color Watercolor Set to paint a faint pink hue to the image.  I then used my Gansai Tambi Starry Colors Paints to coat the image (after it's dry) with a gold shimmer.  I then cut the unicorn out using the coordinating Unicorn Dreams Fresh Die Set to cut the unicorn out.  I then adhered my unicorn to my watercolor panel using foam tape.  The gold foil paper that I added came from my stash.  I heat embossed the sentiment, also from the Unicorn Dreams Stamp Set from Pinkfresh Studio, with gold embossing powder directly onto the watercolor panel.  I then adhered the panel to an A2 sized card base using foam tape.  What do you think?

Video Tutorial - MFT Witch Way is the Candy - Water Coloring fun Halloween Card

Hi everyone! :)  I hope you are having a fantastic week!  For all my readers affected by Harvey and to those in the path of Irma, I want you all to know you are in my thoughts and my prayers and if there's anything you need or anything I can do from here, please don't hesitate to ask.

I have a fun Halloween card and video to share with you all today.  In this video, I share how I water colored this adorable witch image from My Favorite Things.  Here's my video:

Here are some pictures of today's card:

To create my card for today, I first created the background using the purple and gold paints from my Gansai Tambi watercolor paints.  I then let the background dry and cut it out with a large stitched rectangle die from Lawn Fawn (it's the largest die in the Large Stitched Rectangle Die set that covers the entirety of an A4 sized card (4 1/4 by 5 1/2)).  I used the Silver and Black watercolor paints from the same paint set to color the moon (which I cut out using a circle die I had in my stash).


Next, I stamped the adorable images from the adorable Witch Way is the Candy Stamp set by MFT using my Hero Arts Black Dye Ink (which is my favorite for water coloring).  I then painted the images with my Zig markers and a water brush.  To color the witch, I used the following colors: Black (for hat and cloak), Dark Brown and Brown (for hair), Violet and Light Violet (for dress and boots), Brown and Light Brown (for top of broom), Dark Brown (for broom stick), Light Green and Orange (for shirt and stockings), Yellow, Light Violet, and Violet (for band around hat), and Flesh Color, Blush, and Almond Pink for her skin tones.  For the pumpkins, I used orange and then Dark Brown for the stems.  For the cat, I used Black, Light Violet and Violet for the bow tie, and Light Green for his eyes. 


Next, I cut the grass out of black cardstock using my Grassy Hillside Borders dies from Lawn Fawn.  I adhered the grass to the bottom of the panel.  I then used some white embossing powder to emboss the sentiment.  Finally, I adhered all the images with foam tape onto the panel and then adhered the entire panel to the front of a white A2 notecard using foam tape.  I added some Wink of Stella glitter pen to her dress and to the pumpkins and I also added some sequins (which I adhered using Ranger's Multi Media Matte glue).  What do you think?

Video Tutorial: Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit - Several Card Examples and One Card from Start to Finish

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all having a wonderful week.  I finally had some time to sit down with the amazing August, 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit from Hero Arts.  I have several card samples to share with you today and in the video, I also create one card for you from start to finish.  Here's the video:

For all three of these cards, I used Distress Oxide Inks (Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, Seedless Preserves, and Black Soot), white paint, and the shimmer sprays that came in the kit to create the backgrounds.  I used a combination of several different embossing powders (gold, silver, black, and white).  These cards were so much fun to make. 


For my next three cards, I painted the backgrounds with watercolor paints.  Here's some pictures:

For the card on the left, I used my Gansai Tambi watercolor paints to create the background.  I then stamped the little boy image and embossed him with black embossing powder.  I embossed the stardust swooshes with gold embossing powder.  I stamped the star onto some vellum, embossed it in black, and then cut it out with the coordinating dies.  The sentiment was embossed with white embossing powder.  The card on the right was painted with pearlescent paints to create the background.  I then used various embossing powders to stamp all the fun images.

For my final card, I decided to create a shaker card using the fancy die that came in the kit as well as the sequins that came in the kit.  I stamped the swoosh and the girl and cut them out with the coordinating dies.  I also embossed all the clouds on vellum with white embossing powder and cut them out using the coordinating dies.  The background on this one was also painted using my Gansai Tambi watercolor paints.  The sentiment was embossed with white embossing powder.

The adorable images are from Honey Bee Stamps.  I just love their new mermaid release stamp sets.  I watercolored the background with my Gansai Tambi watercolor paints.  I then painted all of the images with my Zig markers and a water brush.  Here are the Zig markers I used: Brown, Light Brown, Marine Green, Violet, Light Violet, Light Gray, Gray, Light Pink, Olive Green, Yellow, Flesh Color, Blush, and Almond Pink.
