Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday! Well, after all that prep time put in for the jury trial, turns out, we were able to settle the case. I'm bummed because the jury trial would have been excellent experience for me, but on the other hand, you never know what a jury might do and this way, with the plea, I have a guaranteed conviction. Oh well, there will be many more jury trials to come :)
For my card today, I decided to use these adorable new images from Whiff of Joy. I love, love, love Whiff of Joy, especially Alison Acton's illustrations. For my card today, I used the new Writing Desk image along with Charlotte on Carpet. One thing I love to do on my cards is create a scene and these images really allowed me to do that. I colored the desk and Charlotte with copics. I then cut the desk out using circle nestabilities and then cut Charlotte out by hand. I added Martha Stewart glitter to her shirt and glossy accents to the ink holder on both the desk and by Charlotte's side. I inked around the desk image (while the circle was still in the nestability) with SU's Close to Cocoa ink. I then mounted that on a scalloped circle cut out with my nesties. All cardstock is by SU (Real Red, Chocolate Chip, and Pretty in Pink). My design paper is also from Stampin up. I used my Martha Stewart Lacy Hearts punch on the bottom DP panel. I adhered the circles to the card with dimensionals and then adhered Charlotte in front with dimensionals. I added Primas and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and I also used my Martha Stewart branch punch to add some extra "umph" to the flowers :) I then added small pink pearls to the flowers in the design paper. What do you think?
Well, now that I no longer have my jury trial, I have a lot of work to catch up on so I better get to it. Hope you are all having a wonderful day. Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you back here tomorrow.
Hugs, Christine :)
