Little Darlings - Fun Winter CandiBean Card

Hi everyone!  I'm here with you today to share a super fun winter/Christmas card using an adorable CandiBean image from Little Darlings (and she's on sale right now too!!!!).

To create this card, I used some beautiful design paper from the Winnie Winter Land 6x6 Paper PackI then used some white watercolor cardstock and stamped the adorable Can I Ski Too Stamp Set (again, this stamp set is greatly discounted right now) onto the cardstock with some waterproof black ink.  I then used some Distress Oxide inks to ink up the watercolor panel and then added some interest by lightly spritzing the panel with some water from my distress sprayer.  You could definitely create a mask of the image to protect it from the Distress Oxide ink, but I didn't find this was necessary if I was very careful when applying the ink.  I then colored the image with my Zig Markers and a water brush.  I added a sentiment from the Splendid Azure Quick Words Sticker Set and then adhered the watercolor panel to my design paper.  Finally, I adhered the entire cardstock panel to a standard white A2 card base.

Don't forget to check out the Clearance Section to find some amazing deals.

I really hope you enjoyed my card for today. It is so fun to color up these adorable images from Little Darlings.

Video Tutorial - Honey Bee Stamps - Hey Pumpkin!

Hi everyone!  It's Christine here for Butterfly Reflections Ink.  I have a new card and video tutorial to share today using the adorable Hey Pumpkin Stamp Set from Honey Bee Stamps.  Here's today's video:

(To view on YouTube, click )

And here are some pictures of my card:

To create this card, I first stamped the image onto Canson XL watercolor paper.  Next, you could definitely cut out a mask and use that on top of your image, but I did not do that.  I found that the Cloud Stencil from My Favorite Things was so easy to work with, I could see through it so I simply placed it over my image and did my inking around the stamped image.  I used Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink and Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink for my inking.  I then removed the cloud stencil and did some light water spraying with my distress sprayer.  Next I colored the image with my Zig Markers and my Detailer Water Brush.  I cut the panel down slightly and then stamped the sentiment.  I then adhered the panel to a standard sized A2 card.  What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today.  Thank you so much as always for stopping by and have a wonderful day!  Hugs!

Hugs, Christine

VideoTutorial - Sweet Stamp Shop New Release - Watercolor Painting and Distress Ink Watercoloring

Hi everyone!  I have a super cute set of notecards to share with you today using the brand new just released Merry Cactus Stamp Set from Sweet Stamp Shop.  I have a video tutorial to share showing how I put these cards together:
(To watch on YouTube, click HERE )

And here's a picture:
These cards are super simple, but super fun to create and would be really easy to reproduce for the holidays.  To create the cards, I used some Mowed Lawn Distress Ink.  I rubbed the pad onto a palette and then with a paintbrush, added some water and painted the watercolor background.  I then used my Zig Markers and a water brush to color the images.  I used Green and Light Green for the cactus and Dark Brown for the pot.  I added some sequins from my stash to finish it off.  Again, super easy cards to make, but fun! :)

I hope you enjoyed today's video.  Thanks so much as always for stopping by.  Huge hugs!

(To view on YouTube, click HERE).

And here are lots of pictures of my card so you can really see all the sparkle and shine:

To create this card, I first created the background panel using Broken China Disteress Oxide Ink and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink.  I blended the colors together, then spritzed some water over the panel to look like snow.  I also added some shimmer spray from Hero Arts.  Next, I cut out my mountains using the Stitched Mountain Borders Die from Lawn Fawn.  I used some gray cardstock and some white glitter cardstock for the mountains.  Next, I cut out the tree line using the Forest Border die from Lawn Fawn.  I inked the tress with Mowed Lawn distress ink and also spritzed them with water.  I then created two snowy hills using the Stitched Hillside Border Dies from Lawn Fawn.  I slightly inked the hills with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  That's how I created my scene, it was super easy to do.

Next, I painted all my images with Zig markers and a water brush.  Here are the colors I used:
Yeti: Light Blue, Pink, Light Pink, Gray, Light Gray
Star Banner: Brown and Yellow
Girl on Yeti
-hat - Peacock Blue, Light Pink
 -shirt - light pink
 -hair - light brown, yellow
Houses: Dark Brown, Light Blue, Cornflower Blue, Wine Red, Yellow
Trees: Green, Light Green, Light Blue

Little Girl Looking Up: Pale Rose, Peacock Blue (hat), Red (Scarf), Pale Rose (jacket), Cornflower Blue (pants), Black (Shoes), Dark Brown and Brown (hair)
All skin tone is Blush, Flesh Color, and Sugared Almond Pink

I stamped the sentiment on the inside of the card.  What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today, thanks so much as always for stopping by!!!!
