Polka Dot Pie Note Cards

Hello everyone :) I'm so sorry for the late post, today was a crazy day :) I wanted to show you some little note cards I made using the new Polka Dot Pie line available today at Pez-A-Doodle Designs. These little note cards could be used for any occasion, for birthdays, Valentine's day, etc. I stamped the treat images onto PTI cardstock, colored them with copics, and cut them out. I used my circle nesties to cut out the scalloped circles. All cardstock is SU and all design paper (except the design paper on the card with the cupcake ribbon) is from DCWV's Sweet stack. The design paper on the card with the cupcake ribbon is from the new K&Co. Valentines stack I just got at Michael's this past weekend. The sentiment is from a Hot off the Press stamp set called Tiny Words. I added Primas and rhinestones to some of the cards.

Karen Lockhart New Release

Hi everyone and Happy Monday :) All of the new Karen Lockhart stamps will be available today for purchase at Susana's Store at 7 a.m. PST, 10 am EST. A Box of Thank You's

Hello everyone and Happy Sunday :) I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. In celebration of Karen Lockhart's new release on January 5th (see This Post for all the details and make sure to check out Susana's Store on January 5th for the new releases), I have created a project for you today using Karen Lockhart stamps. I decided to create a little box gift set with thank you cards. You can find the directions for this box and the cards Here.

I first created my box using SU cardstock and K&Co. design paper. I used Karen Lockhart's Rose Bud Gown for the main image and used my circle and scalloped circle nesties to cut it out. The sentiment is from a set by Hero Arts called Tiny Words. This set is perfect for card making, it has so many great sentiments and images. The border along the box is made from a Fiskar's border punch. I also added Primas and a pink rhinestone.

All of the cards inside the box are made with SU cardstock and K&Co. design paper. Along with the Rose Bud Gown image, I also used the Flowers in Chintz image and the Hydrangea and Berries image. I used my Sakura glitter pen for some glittery accents.

Another Sneak Peek

Happy Saturday everyone :) Hope your weekend is off to a great start :) I have another sneak peek of the fabulous stamp line, Polka Dot Pie, available exclusively at Pez-A-Doodle Designs on January 5th. There are so many stamps in this new release and I love them all :)

For today's card, I stamped the little girl surrounded by hearts with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her in with copics. I used my circle nestabilities to cut her out. I then sponged around the image with Versamagic Perfect Plumeria ink. Next, I created my card base, which measures 5 1/4 by 5 1/4, out of SU's Regal Rose cardstock. I layered Chocolate Chip on top of that followed by Rose Red, followed by my design paper from K&Co's Smitten collection. I used my scalloped circle nesties to cut out the scalloped circles and adhered them to each other and to the card base using dimensionals. I used my new Labels 1 nesties for the sentiment panel. The sentiment is an old $1 Studio G stamp. Finally, for some finishing touches, I added ribbon (from Michael's), Primas, and a glittery Making Memories brad. What do you think?

Sneak Peek of new Polka Dot Pie stamps

Hello again everyone :) This is my second post for today, make sure to scroll down to the next post and read the exciting Karen Lockhart news.

I am so very excited to show you my card today. This card features new stamps made exclusively for Pez-A-Doodle Designs. This adorable new line of stamps is called Polka Dot Pie. The stamps are illustrated exclusively for Pez-A-Doodle Designs by children's illustrator Freddie Levin. Okay, onto the card.





Aren't these images just delicious :) There are so many stamps coming out that this card is just a small sampling of them. I'll be back over the next several days to show you more sneak peeks. The whole new line will be available from Pez-A-Doodle Designs on January 5th.

To make this card, I stamped the candies onto PTI cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored them in with copics, and cut them out. I used my circle and scalloped circle nestabilities to cut out the circles and adhered the candies to the circles, and the circles to each other, with dimensionals. I next created my card base, which measures 4 1/4 by 5 1/2, out of SU's Pretty in Pink. I layered Chocolate Chip on top of that followed by my designer paper from DCWV's Sweet stack. I then mounted the images to the card base with dimensionals. The sentiment is from an old $1 Studio G set, as is the heart. I adhered the sentiment and heart with dimensionals. Finally, I added two pink dew drops to the sentiment panel.

Karen Lockhart Announcement

Hi everyone and Happy Friday :) I have a super exciting announcement for all Karen Lockhart fans out there.

Happy New Year

Hello everyone and Happy New Year! :) So, how did you all ring in the new year? Hubby and I kept it pretty low key and I spent most of today (which I had off from work) in the stamping room (which is the best way to spend a day off in my opinion) :) Anyway, I have three cards for you today so I apologize in advance for the extra long post :)



I just love the various scenes you can create with Alota Rubber Stamps and Magnolias. I first inked the hat/New Year scene from Alota Rubber Stamps (I got mine from Roses on Paper, Summer is wonderful to work with) with Memento Tuxedo black ink, stamped it onto PTI white cardstock, and colored it in with copics. I used my sakura glitter pen on some of the confetti for added sparkle. I added Gold Geo Shaped Sparklers to the crown. These sparklers are so cool and really sparkle in real life. I also used my Gold Copic Atyou glitter pen for some added glitter on the crown as well. Next, I created my card base, which measures 5 1/2 by 5 1/2, out of SU's Basic Black. I layered Brocade Blue on top of that followed by my design paper. The black glittery design paper is from DCWV's Glitter stack and the blue design paper is from Debbie Mumm's Baby Boy stack (from JoAnn's). I next layered my image onto my SU cardstock with dimensionals, then layered the entire image panel onto the card base with dimensionals. I stamped Tilda and Edwin onto a separate sheet of PTI cardstock, colored them in with copics, and cut them out. I adhered them on top of the hat with dimensionals. For a finishing touch, I added Primas and pearls to the card.



For my next card, I used another stamp from Alota Rubber stamps (the wine glass). I colored it with my copics and used my Sakura glitter pen to add some sparkle to the confetti. I also used Glossy Accents on the liquid in the glass. I next stamped Tilda, colored her with copics, and cut her out. I then created my card base, which measures 5 1/4 by 5 1/4, out of SU's Pretty in Pink. I layered Sage Shadow on top of that followed by my design paper from DCWV's Nana's Nursery Baby Girl stack. I mounted my image on my SU cardstock and used my SU ticket corner punch in the corners. I placed pink rhinestones from Michael's in each corner and adhered the image panel to the card base using dimensionals. The sentiment is a $1 Studio G stamp from Michael's. The Ribbon is also from Michael's. For a finishing touch, I added pink Primas and a sparkly Making Memories brad.




I'm really pleased with how my last card for today came out. I used this week's sketch challenge over on Splitcoast for my layout (I flipped the sketch). The castle scene is from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. You have got to check out these castles, there are several of them and they are all so awesome and fun to color :) I stamped the castle scene onto PTI cardstock and colored it in with copics. I stamped the image two more times and colored just the castle, then cut it out and popped it on my original scene to give the castle some depth. I also added Glossy Accents to the water.

I next stamped the fairy, also from Susana's store (you can find her here) and colored her with copics. I stamped her again and cut out just her wings. I added Stickles to both pairs of wings. Once the wings were dry, I adhered the first set over the second set and bent the first set forwards to create dimension.

I next created my card base, which measures 5x7, out of SU's Brocade Blue. I layered Handsome Hunter on top of that followed by my design paper from DCWV's Once Upon a Time stack. I then adhered my castle image panel to my SU cardstock with dimensionals, then adhered the entire image panel to the card base with dimensionals. I adhered the fairy to the main image panel with dimensionals as well. Finally, I stamped my sentiment, from Stamping Bella, onto the card base.
