Cherry Tilda

Happy Saturday everyone,

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Hubby and I got back from a lovely visit with his family. It was a great trip and we had a really fun time, but we're beat. Hopefully we'll get to rest some this evening.

For my card today, I inked up my new Cherry Tilda stamp I received in the mail last week from Diana Crick (you can order them by contacting her at magnolia.us@shaw.ca). I inked the image up with Memento black ink and stamped it onto Georgia Pacific cardstock. I then colored the image with my copics and then cut it out. Next, I created my card base (which measures 5 1/2 by 5 1/2) from SU's Certainly Celery and then layered on top of that SU's Pretty in Pink. I then layered on top of that the cherry designer paper from DCWV's Nana's Nursery stack (baby girl). Next, I created my cirlces and scallops from my nestabilities. I then adhered the nesties to my card base using dimensionals. I then adhered Tilda using dimensionals. I next stamped the greeting, which is a Studio G $1 stamp, onto SU's Pretty in Pink and then layered that onto Certainly Celery. I then attached that to the card base using dimensionals. Finally, for a finishing touch, I added Primas and a Making Memories brad to the bottom left corner.

Frighteningly Fun Halloween

Good evening everyone,

I apologize for the late post today. Hubby and I are getting ready to visit with family this weekend so it's been pretty crazy around here. I may not be able to post again until Sunday or Monday so I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

For my card today, I decided to ink up my new MFT (My Favorite Things) Halloween Stamps. I used MFT's new Totally Witchin' set which was release earlier this month. I inked the main image with Memento Black ink and stamped it twice, once onto Georgia Pacific cardstock and then again onto Halloween designer paper from K&Co. I then colored the image stamped on the GP cardstock with my copics. Next, I used the paper piecing technique to place the image stamped on designer paper around the image colored with copics.

I then created my card base (which measures 5 1/2 by 5 1/2) out of SU's Elegant Eggplant. I then layered SU's Basic Black on top of that followed by the spider designer paper from K&Co. Next, I stamped the cauldron (also from the same MFT set) with Versafine black ink onto GP cardstock and cut it out. I adhered it with dimensionals onto the bottom corner of the main image. I then used a white gel pen and diamond stickles to draw the steam coming out of the cauldron.

Next, I mounted my main image onto SU's Elegant Eggplant using dimensionals, and then onto Basic Black, also using dimensionals. I then mounted the whole panel onto the card base using dimensionals. For finishing touches, I added primas and a sparkly Making Memories brad at the top right of the card, and stamped the sentiment, using Versafine Black ink, onto Elegant Eggplant and adhered it to the card base with dimensionals.

Farmer Tilda

Good morning everyone,

My card today is my submission for the card sketch challenge over on Splitcoast (SC191). I got my new Farmer Tilda in the mail yesterday from Diana Crick from ScorPal (if you are interested in purchasing these cute stamps, e-mail Diana at magnolia.us@shaw.ca).

I decided to create another scene with Tilda's horse. I stamped the horse with Memento black ink onto Georgia Pacific cardstock and colored it in with my copic markers. I then colored the sky in with copics as well. Next, I stamped Tilda (with Memento ink) onto GP cardstock and colored her in with copics, then cut her out. I did the same with the hay and the fence. I then created my card base (which measures 5x7) out of SU's Real Red cardstock. I then layered on top of that SU's Brilliant Blue cardstock and designer paper from DCWV Nana's Nursery Stack (baby boy). It's hard to see because my top panel ended up being so big, but I used my threading water punch from Fiskars on the designer paper to create a scallop.

Next, I layered my horse image onto SU's Brilliant Blue followed by SU's Real Red. I then adhered the fence in front of the horse using dimensionals. I then placed the hay in front of the fence using dimensioanls and then placed Tilda on the hay using dimensionals.

For some finishing touches, I added diamond Stickles to Tilda's wings and placed primas in the top left corner (the pearl in the center is from Martha Stewart).

House Mouse Love Confetti

Happy Wednesday everyone :)

For my card today, I decided to enter the challenge over on the House Mouse & Friends weekly challenge blog. I just love these little House Mouse images and was so excited to learn of these weekly challenges. For my card today, I stamped my House Mouse image onto Georgia Pacific cardstock and colored it in with my copics. I put diamond Stickles on the hearts. I then used a Fiskars corner punch to get the hearts in the corners of the House Mouse image. I then created my card base, which measures 5 1/2 by 5 1/2, out of SU's Regal Rose cardstock (my last sheet of this, my favorite SU paper! I placed another order this morning :) ). I then layered on top of the card base SU's Close to Cocoa. I then used Fiskar's Threading Water punch on my designer paper from Basic Grey's Sugared collection. I placed my lacy ribbon from K&Co's Smitten collection around my card base, and then mounted my designer paper onto my card base.

I then mounted my House Mouse image onto SU's Regal Rose, followed by SU's Close to Cocoa and then mounted it onto my card base with dimensionals. I then stamped the sentiment, which is a $1 Studio G stamp, onto GP cardstock and punched it out with SU's 1 3/8 circle punch. I then used SU's scalloped circle punch and punched out the scalloped circle from SU's Regal Rose and Close to Cocoa and then placed the sentiment on my card base using dimensionals. For a finishing touch, I added primas, centered with a pearl, in the top left corner of my card.

Tilda on Country Bench

For my card today, I decided to ink up my new sideways facing Tilda. I inked her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped her onto Georgia Pacific cardstock. I then colored her with my copic markers and cut her out. I then inked the old country bench (also from Magnolia stamps) with Memento ink, and stamped it onto GP cardstock. I colored it with my copics and cut it out as well. I then created my card base (which measures 5 1/2 x 5 1/2) out of SU's Pretty in Pink cardstock. I then layered on top of that SU's Bashful Blue followed by Certainly Celery. I then layered my designer paper from Die Cuts With a View's Nana's Nursery stack (baby girl). I then placed a piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots embossing folder. I then layered the old bench on top of that with dimensionals, then placed Tilda on the bench using dimensionals. I then layered that onto SU's Bashful Blue using dimensionals, then layered that onto Certainly Celery.

For some finishing touches, the ribbon is from Michael's dollar bin. The primas are also from Michael's and I placed a glittery pink brad in the center from Making Memories.

Let's Do Lunch

Happy Monday! :) Mine started out pretty crazy, but it's starting to slow down a bit.

For my card today, I inked up my new Summer on the Patio set from Flourishes. I stamped the table and chairs in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and staped them onto Georgia Pacific cardstock, then colored them with my copic markers. I then added the tea glasses and the chandelier. I then mounted the image onto SU's Grey cardstock followed by Real Red. I then created my card base (which measures 5 1/2 by 5 1/2) and then layered SU's Grey cardstock followed by Real Red, followed by Grey. I used SU's ticket corner punch on all corners. I then mounted the main image with dimensionals onto the card base. I then stamped the sentiment from My Favorite Things Meet Me At The Cafe Set using Versafine Black ink. For a finishing touch, I added pearls to the corners and primas.

Ooh La La!

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. For my card today, I inked up one of my favorite Magnolia stamps, Paris Tilda. I inked her up with Memento Black ink and stamped her onto Georgia Pacific cardstock. I then colored her in with my copic markers. I then mounted the Tilda image onto SU's Rose Red cardstock followed by Basic Black. I used SU's ticket corner punch on the corners and placed pearls from Michael's in the corner. Next, I stamped the Eiffel Tower from SU's retired Summer in Paris set and cut it out with my nestabilities. I then cut out scalloped circles using my nesties from SU's Rose Red and Basic Black cardstock. I then inked around the edge of the Eiffel Tower image with SU's Rose Red ink. I then stamped the sentiment, also from SU's Summer in Paris set, with SU's Rose Red ink and cut it out with my nesties. I then cut scalloped circles out of SU's Rose Red and Basic Black cardstock. I also inked the edges of the sentiment with SU's Rose Red ink.

Next, I created my card base (which measures 5x5) out of SU's Basic Black cardstock. I then layered on top of that SU's Rose Red, followed by Basic Black, followed by Rose Red, followed by my designer paper, which is Paper Slab XI by Provo Craft (I got it at Michael's). I then mounted my Eiffel Tower image with dimensionals, as well as my sentiment. I then mounted the Tilda image with dimensionals. For a finishing touch, I placed primas in the two corners and placed pearls in the centers.
