How Sweet

Good evening everyone,

My card for today is serving double duty :) I decided to participate in the House Mouse & Friends Challenge again this week. For this week's challenge, we had to create our card based on a sketch. You can see the sketch and the other submissions here: http://housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com/ or just click on the icon on the right hand side of my blog. As I was making my card, I decided to cut up a piece of K&Co. designer paper I've been saving for a long time and use it on the card. When I was on Splitcoast today, I noticed that the Way to Use it Challenge was to use specialty paper we have been saving. I have been saving this K&Co. paper for so long so I figured that this card fit in to the Way to Use it Challenge as well.

I first stamped the house mouse image onto Georgia Pacific cardstock and then colored it in with my copic markers. I added glitter to the sugar cubes using a Sakura glitter pen. Next, I created my card base out of SU's Certainly Celery cardstock (it measurs 5 1/2 by 5 1/2). I then layered my K&Co. designer paper on top of that followed by a small piece of SU's Pretty in Pink. I then layered my house mouse image onto Certainly Celery and adhered it to my card base using dimensionals. I placed pearls in all the corners and placed pink dew drops from Michael's on the Pretty in Pink cardstock. I stamped the sentiment, which is a $1 Studio G stamp from Michael's, onto Certainly Celery and mounted that onto Pretty in Pink. I then adhered the sentiment to the card base using dimensionals. Fianlly, I placed primas in the upper right hand corner.

I'd love to hear what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by.

House Mouse Love Confetti

Happy Wednesday everyone :)

For my card today, I decided to enter the challenge over on the House Mouse & Friends weekly challenge blog. I just love these little House Mouse images and was so excited to learn of these weekly challenges. To participate, or to view the submissions, go here: http://housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com/, or click on the icon on the right of my blog. This week's challenge was to use lace on our card.

For my card today, I stamped my House Mouse image onto Georgia Pacific cardstock and colored it in with my copics. I put diamond Stickles on the hearts. I then used a Fiskars corner punch to get the hearts in the corners of the House Mouse image. I then created my card base, which measures 5 1/2 by 5 1/2, out of SU's Regal Rose cardstock (my last sheet of this, my favorite SU paper! I placed another order this morning :) ). I then layered on top of the card base SU's Close to Cocoa. I then used Fiskar's Threading Water punch on my designer paper from Basic Grey's Sugared collection. I placed my lacy ribbon from K&Co's Smitten collection around my card base, and then mounted my designer paper onto my card base.

I then mounted my House Mouse image onto SU's Regal Rose, followed by SU's Close to Cocoa and then mounted it onto my card base with dimensionals. I then stamped the sentiment, which is a $1 Studio G stamp, onto GP cardstock and punched it out with SU's 1 3/8 circle punch. I then used SU's scalloped circle punch and punched out the scalloped circle from SU's Regal Rose and Close to Cocoa and then placed the sentiment on my card base using dimensionals. For a finishing touch, I added primas, centered with a pearl, in the top left corner of my card.

I would love to hear what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Stampaholic

Good morning everyone,

I thought I'd post today's card this morning before heading off to work. For my card today, I stamped this adorable House Mouse image onto GP cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. I then used SU's ticket corner punch on the corner and mounted it onto SU's Regal Rose cardstock. I then mounted that onto SU's So Saffron. I then created my card base out of SU's So Saffron (my card base measures 5x5) and then layered on top of the card base designer paper from Die Cuts With a View's Nana's Nursery stack (baby girl). I then tied a lace bow from Making Memories and then mounted the House Mouse image onto the card with dimensionals. I then stamped the sentiment (also from House Mouse) onto GP cardstock, mounted it onto SU's Rose Red and then onto SU's So Saffron. I then mounted the sentiment onto the card with dimensionals. I used SU's ticket corner punch on the corners and placed gold Making Memories brads in the corners. I added prima flowers to the left of the sentiment.

I'd love to hear what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day :)

For You

Hello everyone,

I hope you are having a great Monday. For my card today, I inked up one of my favorite House Mouse images (I just adore these stamps!). I inked the image in Versafine Black Onyx ink and stamped it on to Georgia Pacific white cardstock. I then colored the image using Prang colored pencils (a good and cheap alternative to Prismacolor pencils) and gamsol. I also used Glossy Accents on the rain drops. I then mounted the image onto SU's Rose Red Cardstock and then mounted that onto SU's Always Artichoke cardstock. I then mounted that with dimensionals onto my designer paper, which is by a company called Deja Vu (I got it at Michael's). I then mounted that onto my card base, which is Brocade Blue. My card measures 5x7. Next, I stamped the sentiment, which is a clear $1 Studio G stamp from Michael's, onto my designer paper. Finally, I added a Prima Flower to the card.

I would love to hear what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day and I'll have more to share tomorrow.
