Dark Royalty

Hi everyone and Happy Saturday! I'm so sorry I've been MIA this week. I was working on a huge brief at work all week and was coming home pretty exhausted in the evenings. I was finally able to get into the craft room last night. I am behind on commenting on all of your fabulous blogs, but I will get caught up this weekend.

For my card today, I decided to ink up another fabulous image from Sweet Pea Stamps. This particular image is called Dark Royalty and I think she's fabulous! I colored the image with copics (pinks; RV21, RV23, RV25; hair; E33, E35, E37; tail: BV72, BV75; skin: E00, E11, E13, RV21) and then lightly sponged around the image with SU's Bashful Blue ink. I added some Stardust Stickles to her wings and to the flowers. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock (Taken with Teal and Regal Rose). The design paper is from Kaisercraft (I love this paper, I think it was meant to go with these images!) :) For some finishing touches, I added a bow (tied with my Bow Easy), pearls, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today. Sorry to make this so short, but I've got weekend errands to run. I plan to get lots of crafting time in this weekend so I should have lots to share with you next week :) Have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!

Coral Immersion

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! :) I'm so glad the weekend is almost here, this has been one crazy week. I wasn't able to get into the craft room at all this week until last night. Work has been crazy, but I survived :)

For my card today, I just had to ink up another gorgeous new Sweet Pea image from ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection. This particular image is called Coral Immersion and I think she's gorgeous. I colored the image with copics (hair: E33, E35, E37; coral: YR85, YR87; pink: RV21, RV23, RV25; skin: E00, E01, E11, RV21) and then I added some Stardust Stickles to the coral to give it some sparkle. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock (Pumpkin Pie and Regal Rose). The design paper is all from MME. I used my SU ticket corner punch on all the corners and added pink pearls. I created a double looped bow with my Bow Easy and I also added some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is from Sweet Pea Stamps and I inked it with SU's Rose Red ink. What do you think?

After this crazy week, I plan on doing lots of relaxing in the craft room this weekend so I should have lots to share with you over the next several days. I hope you all have had a wonderful week and have a wonderful weekend. Thanks so much as always for stopping by. Lots of Hugs!

Another New Sweet Pea

Hello everyone and Happy Tuesday! :) I hope you are all having a wonderful day and a wonderful week. I have a super quick post for you today as I have to get to work early, there are a ton of things I have to get done today. For my card today, I decided to ink up another gorgeous new image from ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection from Sweet Pea Stamps. This particular image is called Flowing in Blue. I colored the image with copics (dress: V12, V15, V17; skin: E00, E01, E11, RV21; hair: E33, E35, E37; blues: B32, B34, B37). Next, I created my card base out of SU cardstock (Not Quite Navy and Perfect Plum). The design paper is from K&Co. I tend to keep my layouts very simple and often revert to this standard layout when I'm working with these images. I hope I'm not boring you all :) I just like keeping these beautiful images as the focal point of the card. For some finishing touches, I added lavender pearls, Primas, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today. Thank you all so much for stopping by. I hope you all have a wonderful day and I'll see you back here tomorrow :)

Sweet Pea Stamps Customer Blog Hop

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday! I hope you are all having a wonderful day. I have a lot to share with you today so I'll keep my chit chat short. As you know, I adore Sweet Pea Stamps. The company is celebrating its one year anniversary and today, Lynette, the owner of Sweet Pea Stamps, has invited all of her customers to join in a blog hop to celebrate. Our challenge was to create a birthday or anniversary card using Sweet Pea stamps. I am so excited to share my cards with you. I created two birthday cards using the same layout, but different papers and images.

For my first card, I just had to ink up this brand new image called Blue Rose Tattoo. I colored the image with copics (RV 21, 23, 25, E00, E01, E11, B000, B02, G24, G28, E33, E35, E37). Next, I created my card base from SU cardstock. The design paper is from K & Co. I used my SU ticket corner punch on all corners and added pearls (from AC Moore). I tied the double looped bow with my awesome Bow Easy. I then added some Primas and some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts for a finishing touch. The sentiment is also from Sweet Pea Stamps and I think it makes a perfect birthday card greeting. What do you think?

For my second card today, I inked up this gorgeous image called Enchanted Gold. I colored the image with copics (R81, R83, R85, G24, G28, E33, E35, E37, E00, E01, E11). I then inked around the image with SU's Pretty in Pink ink. Next, I created my card base out of SU cardstock. The design paper is from K&Co. I again used my SU ticket corner punch on the corners and added pearls. I also used my Martha Stewart edge punch on the top panel of design paper. Finally, I added roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Thank you so much Lynette for creating such fun and magical stamps. These stamps are so "me" and it is truly a joy to work with them. Thank you to all my friends who stop by my blog every day. Your encouragement means the world to me. I hope you all have a wonderful day and I'll see you back here tomorrow :)

Big Hugs, Christine
