SCACD Showcase Day

Hi everyone and Happy Monday!  I'm so sorry I haven't been around much lately.  Work and life have kept me out of the craft room I'm afraid.  However, when my friend Susana of Susana's Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD) asked me to participate in a showcase of some brand new digi images, I just had to say yes :)

SCACD has released 15 NEW Digital Images designed by Carmen Medlin for SCACD. There is a bit of something for everyone in this release. Some fantasy, steampunk, wonderland, curiosities and animals to love. You can find just the right image for that creative spark of yours and let your inner artist out to play.

For my card today, I was lucky enough to get to use this gorgeous digital image called Owl's Song.  I of course colored her with copics.  The gorgeous DP is from an old Authentique pad.  To check out all the adorable new digis, click HERE.  Thanks so much as always for stopping by!

SCACD Elements Rubber Stamp Blog Hop

Hi everyone and happy Monday!  It feels so nice to be back and able to share a crafty project with you today.  I'm returning to crafting very slowly but I'm so excited to be back.  I have a very special project to share with you today.

SCACD is releasing four rubber stamps which are collectively called The Elements Collection. The inspiration for them is by all that is going on in nature at the moment. Thoughts of water, wind, fire and earth so powerful in nature captured in these women through collaboration with SCACD Artist Carmen Medlin.

The fab SCACD Design Team along with amazing Guests Designers has created an inspiring hop showcasing the new SCACD rubber stamps.  If you got here from Cheryl's Blog, then you are in the right place.  If you missed part of the hop list or get lost along the way, then check out all the details at the Store Blog!  Here is my project:

This gorgeous image is called Wind and is now available, along with the rest of the new release, in the USA HERE. SCACD Digital images for USA and International can always be found HERE.
For locating SCACD rubber stamps, including the New Release, our International Friends please check out Quixotic Paperie HERE!!!
Thanks so much for hopping with us today. Your next stop on the hop is the super talented Delphine.  Have a fabulous day and huge hugs to you all :)

SCACD Blog Hop

Hi everyone and happy Friday!  I'm so excited to share two cards with you today.  A couple of years ago, I had the honor of being a designer for my buddy Susana, owner of Susana's Custom Art and Card Design.  When Susana contacted me a few weeks ago to ask me if I would be interested in returning as a guest for this special blog hop, of course I jumped at the chance :)  Hopefully, you are hopping along with us and are joining me from Diane's Blog.  If you have lost your way, head to the SCACD Store Blog for a complete list of all hop participants.

Today SCACD is formally premiering the SCACD Digital site by adding over 35 images designed by Carmen Medlin!!! Carmen's range is fun, fresh as well as elegant and will have something for everyone. Susana has added quite a few never before seen Fab images as well as taken some classic past rubber stamps and turned them into digi for this release.

For my first card, I used the adorable image called Venus the Fly Trap.

How cute is this image?!?!  I of course colored him with my copics.  Here are the colors I used:

Yellows: Y21, YR23, E33, E35
Pot: E42, E43, E44, E47
Grays: W2, W4, W6, W8

My DP is a mix from two different stacks, the Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells stack and the Carta Bella Cool Summer stack.  Check out that adorable sentiment, isn't it perfect?  It comes with the image.  I added a bow and rose and then the pretty accent in the corner was made using the Madera Corner Memory Box die.  Here are a couple more pictures:

What do you think?  For my second card, I used the gorgeous image, Butterfly Dreams.  She was a dream to color.

I of course colored her up with my copics.  Here arte the copics I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Pinks: RV000, R81, R83, R85
Blues: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
Greens: G21, G94, G99
Shadow: W2, W4, blender

My DP is from Bo Bunny's Love Letters paper stack.  The gorgeous embellishments in the corners were made from Nature's Tapestry Fan Die, which is a die designed and sold exclusively at SCACD.  A bow and rose finish off the card.  Here are a couple more pictures:

What do you think?  Well, that's it from me today.  Please hop along with us.  Your next step on the hop is Crystal's Blog.
