First Kiss

Good morning everyone and happy Wednesday. It's another dreary looking day here, but at least it's not raining . . . yet.

My card today is my submission for the Sarah Kay Challenge Blog, found here: http://sarahkaychallenges.blogspot.com/ (or you can click on the icon on the right of my blog). This week's challenge was a sketch challenge.

I stamped the main image with Memento black ink onto Georgia Pacific cardstock and colored it in with my copics. I mounted the image onto SU's Regal Rose followed by Brocade Blue followed by Rose Red. Next, I created my card base, which measures 5 1/2 by 5 1/2, out of SU's Rose Red and layered on top of that Brocade Blue followed by Regal Rose, followed by designer paper from DCWV Nana's Nursery baby boy. I then adhered a strip of Rose Red followed by designer paper from DCWV Nana's Nursery baby girl (which I ran through my Martha Stewart Doily Lace border punch). I then adhered my image panel onto the card base using dimensionals. For a finishing touch, I added primas and a MS pearl to the bottom left corner.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I'd love to hear what you think. More tomorrow :)

Best Friends

Good morning everyone,

Happy Tuesday :) I hope everyone's day is off to a great start. For my card today, I inked up my new Lily and Milo stamp from Stamavie. I LOVE these stamps, so cute! :) I stamped Lily and Milo onto Georgia Pacific cardstock and then colored the image in with my copic markers. I trimmed the image and mounted it onto SU's Regal Rose cardstock. I then mounted that onto SU's Always Artichoke. I finally mounted that onto SU's Ballet Blue cardstock. My card base, which measures 5x7, is SU's Regal Rose. I placed a strip of designer paper from Die Cuts With a View's Nana's Nursery stack (baby girl) along the bottom of the card base. I then placed a second strip of designer paper from DCWV's Nana's Nursery stack (baby boy) along the right side of the card base. I then layered my main image with dimensionals onto the card. I placed primas on the right corner of the image. The pearls are from Michael's. Finally, I stamped my sentiment, which is a Studio G clear stamp from Michael's, onto Georgia Pacific cardstock and then punched it out using SU's 1 1/4 circle punch. I then puched out a 1 3/8 circle out of Regal Rose cardstock using SU's punch. Finally, I used SU's scallop circle punch to punch out the Always Artichoke and Ballet Blue. Last but not least, I placed diamond stickles on the little flowers.

I'd love to hear what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Christine :)
