Once Upon a Time

Happy Monday everyone! Whew, this card was certainly a labor of love! :) It took me forever to make this one, but I'm pleased with how it turned out. I just can't get enough of these images from High Hopes. I made this card for this week's High Hopes Challenge. Our challenge this week was to use sparkles on our card.

I first stamped the stone wall onto Georgia Pacific cardstock and colored it in with copics. I then masked it and stamped the castle right above it, and then stamped the castle two additional times onto separate paper and colored it in with copics. I layered the castle three times with dimensionals so that it really pops. I then colored the sky and grass with my copics to finish the scene.

Next, I stamped the princess and unicorn, colored them with copics, and cut them out. I added stickles to the unicorn's horn and to the princess's dress, shoes, and crown. Next, I created my card base (which measures 5x7) out of SU's Rose Red. I layered Always Artichoke on top of that followed by my design paper from DCWV's Once Upon a Time stack. I used SU's ticket corner punch on the corners and placed pearls (from Michael's) in each corner. Next, I mounted the scene onto Rose Red followed by Always Artichoke and then mounted the scene onto the card base with dimensioanals. Next, I layerd the princess and the unicorn onto the scene with dimensionals. There are so many dimensionals on this card! :)

For some finishing touches, I used a cuttlebug die cut for the two floral corners of the image (I cut them out of SU's So Saffron cardstock). I also added Primas.

I would love to hear what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope your week is off to a great start. More tomorrow :)

Hugs, Christine :)
