Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! :) I hope you all are having a wonderful week and a wonderful day. I have two cards to share with you today so I'll keep my chit chat short and get to the good stuff :)

For my first card today, I inked up this adorable Tilda image from Magnolia stamps. I received this image from the Magnolia Sweden Winter Kit. It doesn't look like Diana over at
Magnolialicious has this image in stock right now, but if you just send her an e-mail, I'm sure she'll get a new shipment in soon. I colored my image with copic markers (dress: R81, R83, R85; socks: R81, R83; shoes: E55, E57; hair: E33, E37; skin: E00, E01, E11; and B000 to outline the apron (a great technique I learned when you want something to be white, but also want a slight shadow to it). I then cut the image out and adhered it to my oval panels that I cut out using my oval nestabilities (the top oval was also run through the Cuttlebug using my Swiss Dots embossing folder). Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock (Regal Rose and White). All design paper is also from SU. I used my SU ticket corner punch on the corners and added pearls. I added a pink ribbon, which I tied using my awesome
Bow Easy. For some finishing touches, I added Primas and roses from
Wild Orchid Crafts and I also added some punched out branch punches from my MS punch to add some extra dimension to the flowers. What do you think?

My second card today is my submission for the March Customer Card Challenge over at the
Sweet Pea Stamps blog. Our challenge was to think spring. We had to have green, pink, and yellow in our card and we also had to have flowers somewhere on the card. I decided to ink up this beautiful stamp from
ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection. This particular image is called
Masked Fairy in Green. I colored the image with copics (Pinks: R81, R83, R85, R89; Greens: G22, G24, G28; Yellow: Y21; Hair: E35, E39; Skin: E00, E01, E11; Tree trunk: E55, E57). I added two small pearls to the image, one to her head piece and one to her necklace. I also added some Martha Stewart glitter to her wings. I then sponged around the image with SU's Pretty in Pink ink. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock (Pretty in Pink and Sage Shadow). My design paper is by K&Co. I added a ribbon and bow, a hat pin (I found this one at Jo Ann's), roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, and pearls. The sentiment is also from Sweet Pea Stamps.
Here is a picture that shows the glitter on her wings a bit better (it was really hard for me to get the glitter to show up on camera):

And finally, here is a close up of the image:

Whew, that was a long post from me today :) Thanks for reading this far and thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day and I'll see you back here tomorrow :)
Big Hugs, Christine
