Summer Days

Happy Saturday! :) I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend so far. It's a beautiful day here today. In celebration of the gorgeous weather, I decided to ink up my new Magnolia stamps to create a summer scene. All stamps are Magnolia stamps. First, I stamped the horse onto Georgia Pacific cardstock and colored it in with my copics. I also colored a blue sky around the horse with my copics. I then mounted my horse image onto SU's Lovely Lilac cardstock, then mounted that onto Green Galore, and then onto Pixie Pink. I then made my card base out of SU's Tempting Turquoise cardstock (my card measures 5x7), them mounted Pixie Pink on top of that, followed by Green Galore, Lovely Lilac, and then my designer paper from Die Cuts With a View Nana's Nursery stack (baby girl). I mounted my horse image onto the main card base.

Next, I stamped the fence onto GP cardstock, colored it with copics, and cut it out. I then adhered the fence onto my horse image and popped it up with dimensionals so it appears as though the horse is standing behind the fence. I then stamped Tilda onto GP cardstock, colored her with copics, and cut her out. I mounted her with dimensionals in front of the horse and fence image. I wanted it to look as though she was sitting in the grass on a beautiful summer day.

For some finishing touches, I added prima flowers on the top left corner of the card and placed a Making Memories glitter brad in the center of the flowers. I added stickles to Tilda's wings and the lilacs in Tilda's hands, and added glossy accents to the leaves.

I'd love to hear what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by. More tomorrow :)

Christine :)
