Miss You

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! :)  I'm so excited that the weekend is almost here :)  I have a super fun card to share with you today so I'll keep my chit chat short and get right to it.

I just love this image from Saturated Canary.  She's called "Hairy Situation" and you can find her HERE.  She was so much fun to color and I had a blast working on all that hair :)  I printed her onto my Copic Xpress cardstock and of course colored her with copics.  Here's a list of the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E11, E21, R20
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Pinks: R81, R83, R85, R89
Pants: E42, E43, E44, E47, E49
Shadow around image: W2, W4, Blender

My DP is from some old SU paper sets I had in my stash.  I added some pearls, a bow, and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts for some finishing touches.  The swirl was made from a Memory Box die.  The sentiment is from an old Hero Arts set.  Here's some more pics:

I'm also entering this card in the current challenge over at the Saturated Canary Challenge Blog.  The challenge was to use summer  fruity colors.  I LOVE watermelon, it's my favorite summer fruit by far so I used lots of pinks in this card for the challenge :)  What do you think?  Well that's it from me today.  Thanks so much as always for stopping by and have a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend :)

Dancing Queen

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday :)  Hope you are all having a wonderful week.  I have a card to share today for the current challenge over at Color Me Creative.  Our challenge this time around was to use summery colors.  This was not hard for me, I'm so ready for summer, I just love the sun on my face and the bright colors :)

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Milk 'N Coffee Digi Stamps.  I just LOVE her images, you must check her out.  I used the adorable image called Madeline Saturday Night Fever.  She was so much fun to color up :)  I of course colored her with my copic markers.  Here are the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E11, E21, R20
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Pinks: RV000, R81, R83, R85
Blues: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
Shadow around image: W2, W4, Blender

My DP is from Echo Park.  The sentiment is from Pink By Design (the stamp set is retired).  I added a bow and a flower embellie (from Michael's), pearls, and the swirls were made from a Memory Box die.  Here are a few more photos:

What do you think?  Well, that's it from me today.  Please make sure to join us over at Color Me Creative.  If you play along in the challenge, you could win a $15 gift certificate to Milk N Coffee Digi Stamps (and believe me, these images are SO cute!).  Also, while you are over at Color Me Creative, make sure to check out Suzanne's copic classes.  She is having a great summer sale right now so make sure to check it out.

Have a wonderful day everyone and I'll see you back here soon with another project :)

Groovy, Baby

Hi everyone and Happy Saturday! :)  Whew, where have I been? :)  So sorry I haven't posted in a while.  I've been trying to keep up with work and a nine month old and spring cleaning . . . it's just been crazy around here :)  But I have lots of images colored and hopefully will have some time to make some cards in the next few weeks.

I also have some super exciting news!  I was asked by the amazing Suzanne Dean (Scrap Bitz) to join her Color Me Creative Design Team!!!!!!  For those who don't know, Suzanne is a copic marker coloring master! She teaches online classes at Color Me Creative.  I have been coloring with my copic markers for years, but it wasn't until I took some lessons from Suzanne and watched her online classes that I really started to "get it."  I am now so happy with my coloring and I owe that all to Suzanne!  Thank you so much Suzanne for asking me to be part of your DT, it is truly an honor!

Twice a month, Suzanne has a challenge over at Color Me Creative.  The DT creates samples with the challenge theme for inspiration and those who participate are eligible for a prize.  The challenge this week is brunette hair.  You can see all the details as well as the DT samples HERE.  Our amazing sponsor this week is Digi My World, I just love their sweet images :)

For my sample today, I used the adorable Shagadelic Image from Digi My World.  Here's my card:

Isn't she fun?  I had SO much fun coloring her and she was perfect for the challenge, as her hair is fantastic :)  I printed the digi onto my Copic Xpress cardstock and then colored her with copics.  Here's a list of the copics I used:

Hair: E21, E25, E29
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E21, R20
Pinks: R81, R83, R85, R89
Blues: B91, B93, B97, B99
Vest fringe: E42, E44, E47
Shadow around image: W2, W4, Blender

I created my card base out of SU cardstock.  My DP is from Echo Park.  I added a ribbon (from Michael's).  The gem in the center of the ribbon is by Recollections (Michael's brand).  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The swirl in the corner is a Memory Box Die.  The sentiment is from Pink By Design Stamps (I believe this set is retired unfortunately, I love it!).  Finally, I added some blue pearls for a finishing touch.  Here are some other views of my card:

What's Up Buttercup?

Hi everyone and Happy Monday :)  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  Spring seems to be here to stay . . . it's about time!!! :)  We had a nice laid back weekend, can't beat those :)  Isaac is teething big time so he's been a little fussy, but he is sleeping well so we can't complain too much.

I have a super fun card to share with you today so I'll get right to it.  I just love Facebook.  I have so many wonderful crafty friends that I have gotten to know through Facebook and I have discovered so many amazing stamp artists because of them :)  My card today showcases a gorgeous digi stamp from Time for Tea Designs.  I just LOVE her images.  She just had a huge release last weekend so make sure to check them out.  This particular image is called Chin Up Buttercup and I just LOVE her!  She reminds me when I was younger.  Did you ever pick Buttercups when you were little and place them under your friend's chin to see if they were "butter?"  This was really big when I was young :)  Basically, if you held the Buttercup flower under someone's chin and the skin under the chin glowed yellow, that person was "butter."  I don't remember exactly what being "butter" meant, but I remember it was a good thing :)  Like you were cool or something :)  I think everyone was "butter" because of the way the light reflected off the flower :)  Anyway, this image just brought back some fun childhood memories and I had so much fun with it.  I of course colored the image with my copics.  Here are the colors I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E21, R20
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Dress and Shoes: R81, R83, R85, R89
Eyes (and dress sash): B91, B93, B95, B99
Buttercups: Y21, Y23, Y26
Shadow around image: W2, W4, W6, blender

I created my card base out of SU cardstock.  My DP is from an old Basic Grey pack I've been hoarding.  The accents in the corners are from a die from La La Land Crafts (love their dies).  The swirls are from Memory Box Dies (I get mine at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design - these dies are fabulous, they cut perfectly and are so intricate, love them!).  I added a bow and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts for some finishing touches.  The sentiment was computer generated.

Here are a couple more views:

And here's a closeup:

Well, that's it from me today.  Thank you so much as always for stopping by.  Have a wonderful Monday and a wonderful week! :)

Cute as a Bug

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday :)  Well, I totally misread my calendar and it turns out, my last card was NOT my last post as a guest designer for 7 Kids College Fund for the month of March :)  Today is my last post :)  Boy oh boy, I blame it on baby brain :)  Anyway, today is my last post as a guest designer and I will reiterate, I have had a BLAST working for this company :)  It has truly been an honor and I'll miss working with these incredibly talented ladies :)

My card today is a DT sample for the new challenge over at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog.  The challenge this week is "things with wings."  Make sure to pop over to the blog to see all the DT samples and then join in! :)

For my card today, I decided to ink up this gorgeous stamp called Little Lady Bug by Saturated Canary.  I inked the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped it onto Copic XPress It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic Markers.  Here are the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E11, E21, R20
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Dress: YR65, YR68, R81, R83, R85, R89
Shadow around image: W2, W4, blender

My DP is from MME.  I used my SU ticket corner punch on the corners and added pearls.  The swirls are from Memory Box dies.  I added a ribbon and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts to finish it off.    Here's a few other views:

What do you think?  Well, that's it from me today.  Thanks so much as always for stopping by and an extra special thank you to Tab and all the designers over at 7 Kids College Fund for having me this month, I had SO much fun! :)  Have a wonderful day!

Mon Cherie- Stampendous Blog Hop

Hi everyone and Happy Saturday!  Today is my last post as a guest designer for 7 Kids College Fund for the month of March, sniff, sniff :(  I have had so much fun, it has truly been an honor to be part of this team.  Today I am so excited to be part of a super fun Blog Hope for 7 Kids featuring products from Stampendous.  Here is my card:

I am SO in love with Saturated Canary images and love that Tab is carrying them in the store.  This one is called Summer and you can find her HERE.  These images are so incredibly fun to color, especially the hair :)  I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic XPress It Cardstock.  I then colored her with copics.  You can find all your copic needs HERE.  Here are the colors I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E21, R20
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Dress: R81, R83, R85, BG10, BG13, BG15, BG18
Grass: G21, G24, G28
Shadow around image: W2, W4, blender
The swirls in the corners of the image were stamped with a Versamark pad and applied directly to the paper.  I then used Stampendous Detail Silver Embossing Powder to emboss the swirls.  I love this effect.  Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock.  My DP is from My Mind's Eye.  The pretty elements in the corners were made using the Filigree Corner Die from La La Land Crafts.  Finally, the sentiment is from the adorable French Flower Cart Clear Stamp Set by Stampendous.  I just love this set and I can't wait to use more images from it.

Here are a couple more photo views of my card:
