New Baby

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday :)  As those of you who have followed me for a while now know, my husband and I welcomed our first baby, a sweet, amazing baby boy, into the world back in August.  I haven't had too much time to craft lately with the new baby and work and everything, but I did have time to put this card together for a dear friend of mine who is expecting a baby girl later this month.

This gorgeous image is from one of my favorite digi stamp stores, Saturated Canary.  She is called New Baby and I just love her.  What I have been doing lately when I get a little bit of free time is practicing on my copic marker coloring.  I've been watching tutorials online and studying peoples blogs and working really hard to improve.  I'm really happy with how this one turned out. I still have a ways to go, but I think I'm getting there :)  Here are the copics I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11
Hair: E31, E35, E57, E59
Blanket and shirt: R81, R83, R85, R59
Blue skirt: B91, B93, B97, B99
Shadow: W2, W4, W6

I created my card base out of SU cardstock.  The paper is from Kaisercraft and is called Gypsy Sisters (it is gorgeous!).  The border and the tag also came from this paper pack.  The embellishment in the corner is a Memory Box die (Madera Corner).  I purchased the paper and the Memory Box die from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD).  I added a bow, pearls, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts for some finishing touches.  What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I'm not sure when I'll be back yet but I'm hoping to be back soon with some Christmas cards.  I promise I will share pictures of our new little man soon (if you follow me on Facebook, there are some pics there, but I will post here too soon).  Have a wonderful day everyone!  Hugs!

Wishing You the Happiest of Days

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! :)  I'm so glad the weekend is here, I'm looking forward to resting.  The baby is due in less than 2 weeks so I'm feeling pretty tired and sore at this point.  So excited, we can't wait to meet our little one :)  I do have a card to share with you today so I'll get right to it.

I used another stamp from Saturated Canary (this one is called Honey, isn't she sweet?!?!).  I colored the image with my copics and then inked around the image with SU blue ink.  I also added some Stickles to her petticoat.  Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock.  My DP is from Echo Park.  For some finishing touches, I added pearls, roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, and a bow.  My sentiment is from Verve.

Hey Sweetie

Hi everyone!  I made this card a while back and hadn't had a chance to share it yet so here it is.

This is another wonderful image from my new favorite stamp company, Saturated Canary.  I colored the image with my copic markers and then inked around the image using blue SU ink and my Tim Holtz blending tool.  I then created my card base out of SU cardstock.  My DP is from MME.  For some additional touches, I added a bow, roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, pearls, and some swirls from an EK Sucess punch.

For You

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday!  Hope you are all having a wonderful week.  I'm beat, but the baby should be here soon.  We couldn't be more excited.  I've been staying up too late watching the Olympics too so that's not helping :)  Anyway, onto my card today (I'm really proud of this one, I've been working so hard on my coloring and I think it's paying off a little).

For my card today, I used this adorable image from Saturated Canary (this one is called Hairy Situation and I just love her).  I colored her with my copics (I used E50, E31, E33, and E37 for her hair and I LOVE this combination).

Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock.  My DP is from DCWV (Baby Girl stack).  The simple sentiment is from an old Hanna Stamps sentiment set.  For some finishing touches, I added some blue pearls, some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, and some ribbon loops I made using Scor Tape.  Here's a close up of the image:

Dance!

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! :)  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  We are huge Olympics fans so we spent most of the weekend watching the Olympics, so much fun! :)  Well, I'll get right to it, here is my card for today:

Well, lately, as you know, I have been working on improving my copic coloring skills ever since I discovered Saturated Canary stamps.  I was SO excited that Krista (owner and illustrator of these beauties) re-released this retired digi stamp called Harley and Haley.  How CUTE is this image?!?! :)  I colored the image with my copics and then inked around it using my Tim Holtz blending tool.  My cardstock is from SU (and I used Copic Express It cardstock for the image, I love this paper, it really helps with my coloring).  My DP is from Kaisercraft.

I added a flourish/scroll which I cut out using my Cricut and my Stretch Your Imagination cartridge.  I also added a ribbon, roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, and pearls.  Here's a close up of this cutie:

Well, that's it from me today.  Thank you so much as always for stopping by.  Have a fabulous day :)

Belle of the Ball

Hi everyone and Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I have another card to share with you today so I'll get right to it.

This particular card uses another gorgeous image from Saturated Canary (this was a freebie, I'm not sure if it's still available or not).  I colored the image with copics, inked around the image using my Tim Holtz blending tool, then put my card together.  My DP is from MME (it's a very old stack).  Here's a close up of my coloring:

For some finishing touches, I added lots of Stickles, a bow, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Just For You

Hi everyone and Happy Friday!  I'm so glad the weekend is here :)  I have another card to share with you today using another fabulous image from Saturated Canary.  I can't say enough good things about these wonderful images.  They are SO much fun to color, I just love them.

This particular image is called Neveah and I think she's just precious.  I colored her up with my copic markers and then sponged around the image with SU ink using my Tim Holtz blending tool.  I also added some Stickles to her dress.  Next I created my card base using SU cardstock.  My DP is from DCWV.  The flourish/swirl was cut out using my Cricut and my Stretch Your Imagination Cricut Cartridge.  Here's a close up:

I added some gorgeous roses from Wild Orchid Crafts (I added Stickles for some extra sparkle).  I also added some pearls.  Here's another closeup of the image with the roses:

I decorated the inside as well using another swirl cut out and a sentiment from the dollar bin at Michael's.  Usually I put my sentiments on the front of my cards, but I thought it was just too crowded so I put it inside this time.

What do you think?  Well, thanks so much again as always for stopping by.  I'm having so much fun getting back into using my copics and it keeps my mind occupied (as opposed to concentrating on how uncomfortable I am or stressing about the baby coming soon) :)  Have a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend.

...and they lived happily ever after.
