Hi Cupcake

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday :) The weekend is almost here :):):) For my card today, I used this yummy cupcake image from Polka Dot Pie. I stamped the cupcake 6 times, colored each image with copics, and cut them out. I used my oval nesties to cut out the ovals, and then mounted the cupcakes to the ovals in a pyramid shape using dimensionals. All cardstock is from SU and the patterned paper is from Pezadoodle's Pezzy's Picks, available Here. The paper I used here is from the Bo Bunny Mini Kit. These kits are wonderful. They are a great way to get a little bit of everything offered by these wonderful companies without emptying your wallet :) You get the papers and a sampling of brads, buttons, flowers, etc. for a really great price. I added ribbon from my stash to the card. The sentiment is from a clear Inkadinkado set and I also added three dew drops from Michael's to finish it off.

Well, that's it from me today. I'd love to hear what you think of my card. Don't forget to leave a comment on This Post by midnight on Saturday for a chance to win any two Polka Dot Pie sets of your choice. Also, make sure to check out Susana's Store Blog, Follow Your Heart. My design team sister Susan has provided a wonderful tutorial on how to stamp on candles. Her tutorial is so helpful and her finished product is gorgeous so make sure to check that out. See ya back here tomorrow :)

Try it Out Tuesday #3

Hello everyone and Happy Tuesday! :) Today is another Try It Out Tuesday challenge over at Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart. Our challenge this week was to use a newly released Karen Lockhart stamp, available Here at Susana's store, and create some sort of packaging project. I decided to do a Valentine's gift box. I used one of my favorite new stamps, Violet Cupcake as my main image. I decided to color it pinkish-red for a Valentine's theme. I colored the image with my copics and cut it out. I next made my box out of SU's Chocolate Chip cardstock. I used my Fiskar's Threading Water border punch to create the border around the bottom of the box. I then layered SU's Rose Red cardstock on top of the box followed by my design paper from K & Co. I added a pink ribbon, and then used my circle nesties to cut out the scalloped circles. I adhered the cupcake to the top circle with dimensionals. I then adhered the circles to each other and to the box with dimensionals. The sentiment is from a Hot of the Press set called Tiny Words. I love this set, it has a sentiment for all occasions. I used SU's Word Window punch to punch the sentiment out. Finally, I added to glittery hearts (from Michael's) to each side of the sentiment. I then filled the box with Sweethearts and Hershey's Kisses. I think this would make a super cute Valentine's day gift :)

I'd love to hear what you think. Make sure to check out the Follow Your Heart Blog to see the other amazing projects the rest of the Design Team has come up with.

Well, that's it from me today. Make sure to stop back here tomorrow. I'll be giving away two Polka Dot Pie stamp sets and I'll also have a Polka Dot Pie project for you. Thanks so much for stopping by. More tomorrow :)

Fairy Magic

Hi everyone and Happy Monday :) Sorry for my lack of posting lately. It's been crazy busy around here, but I should be back to my normal schedule this week :) For my card today, I used some of my favorite stamps from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. I first stamped the castle scene onto PTI cardstock and colored it with copics. I stamped Bryony onto a separate piece of PTI cardstock, colored her with copics, and cut her out. I added some glitter to the flowers in her hair and to her dress with my Sakura glitter pen and I added Diamond Stickles to her wings.

Next, I created my card base out of SU's Regal Rose. I layered Brocade Blue on top of that followed by Always Artichoke, followed by my design paper from DCWV's Once Upon a Time stack. I used SU's ticket corner punch on all corners and added pink rhinestones. I also added a ribbon and bow. I then mounted the castle scene onto my SU cardstock with dimensionals. I then added Bryony to the scene with dimensionals. It's a pretty simple layout, but I wanted the images to take center stage. What do you think?

Don't forget to check out Marti's Blog from Pezadoodle Designs. She is blogging from CHA this week. Make sure to leave a comment on all of her blog posts from CHA for a chance to win some yummy blog candy.

Well, that's it from me today. I hope your week is off to a great start. See you back here tomorrow :)

Celebrate

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! :) I hope you are all having a wonderful week. I was so excited to ink up this new image from Polka Dot Pie. This image is called Carnival With Pezzy and I think she is just adorable! :)

I used this week's Sketch Challenge over on Splitcoast for my layout. I stamped Pezzy with Memento Black Ink onto PTI cardstock and colored her in with copics. I used my purple Sakura glitter pen to add some glitter to her mask and necklace and I used my Copic Gold Glitter Pen to add glitter to the fleur de lis design on her shirt.

I next created my card base, which measures 5 1/4 by 5 1/4, out of SU's Basic Black. I layered Pale Plum on top of that followed by Elegant Eggplant, followed by my design paper by Amanda Blu. I used my nesties to cut out the scalloped circles and adhered Pezzy to the circles and the circles to each other with dimensionals. I created another ribbon blossom (I'm much prouder of this one than my first, but I still need practice :)), using ribon from Michael's. I used a stamp set by Hot of the Press called Tiny Words for the sentiment. This set is so versatile, it really has almost any sentiment I need. I used Versamagic Purple Hydrangea ink for the sentiment and I used SU's Word Window Punch to punch it out. What do you think?

I also wanted to let you all know that Marti, the owner of Pez-A-Doodle Designs is having some huge giveaways coming up. Marti is giving away a $40 gift certificate to her store! Try It Out Tuesday #2

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday! :) Today is Try it Out Tuesday at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. Our challenge this week was to use any stamp from Susana's store, any dp she sells and only 2 embellishments. Make sure to check out the new store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see the other amazing DT creations.

For my card, I used a Rubber Romance stamp as my main image. I stamped Kristy onto PTI cardstock and colored her in. I next created my card base, which measures 5 1/2 by 5 1/2, out of SU's Pretty in Pink. I layered Elegant Eggplant on top of that followed by this delicious Dovecraft design paper from Susana's Store. The paper I used is from the Glamour Prints pack. Susana is the only US retailer who currently sells this wonderful paper so make sure to check it out :) I then mounted my image onto my SU cardstock with dimensionals. Finally, I added my two embellishments, ribbon and Primas.

What do you think? Make sure to stop by the Follow Your Heart Blog, the other ladies on the DT have some amazing projects for you. Thanks so much for stopping by. I'll see you back here tomorrow :)

Hugs, Christine :)

Just Ask Cinderella

Hi everyone and Happy Monday :) I hope your week is off to a great start. Well, I almost didn't post this card. I wanted SO badly to create a ribbon blossom like Pam Basset does (see her awesome creations Here). So, when Pam put a tutorial up last week on Splitcoast (see the tutorial Here), I had to try it out. Well, five and a half hours later this past weekend, this was the best I could do :) To me, it doesn't look at all like Pam's and I wish I had been able to do it better. I guess I'll just have to practice some more :) Anyway, my hubby talked me into posting the card anyway since I spent so much time on it :)

I used last week's Mojo Monday Sketch for my layout. All stamps used are from H & M Stamps. I stamped the princess, colored her with copics, and cut her out. I added glitter from my Sakura glitter pen to her crown and flowers. I then used my nestabilities to cut out the circle and scalloped circles and mounted them with dimensionals. I next stamped the shoe, colored it with copics, and cut it out with my nesties. I added Diamond Stickles to the shoe. All cardstock is SU and the ribbon blossom uses various ribbons from SU and Michaels. The sentiment on the inside is from a current SU Set called Humor in High Heels.

Well, what do you think? Any suggestions on how to improve the ribbon blossom? :)
