First Whiff of Joy Challenge

Good morning everyone. I hope everyone's Monday is starting out well. I am so excited! I just love Whiff of Joy stamps and now, Whiff of Joy stamps lovers have a weekly challenge blog. My card today is my submission for the WOJ challenge. This week's challenge was a sketch challenge. You can learn all about this week's challenge here .

For my card, I stamped Willow with Memento black ink onto Georgia Pacific cardstock, colored her with copics, and cut her out. It doesn't show up well in the photograph, but I used spica glitter pens on the holly leaves and the light from the lantern. My card base, which measures 5 1/2 by 5 1/2, is SU's Not Quite Navy. I layered SU's Rose Red on top of that followed by my design papers from DCWV's Christmas stack. The ribbon is Purely Pomegranite (a retired in-color). I figured it matched Rose Red close enough :) I cut my circles and scallops with my nestabilities. I also ran my circles through the cuttlebug using the snowflakes embossing folder.

The sentiment is also from WOJ. I used SU's Word Window punch to punch it out. For some finishing touches, I added Primas and rhinestones for that extra bit of bling :)

Well, I may not be back until Wednesday of this week. I have a crazy work week ahead of me which probably won't leave me much time for crafting in the next couple of days. I'll be back as soon as I can :)

I would love to hear what you think of my card. Thanks so much for stopping by. More soon :)

Hugs, Christine

Eeeeek!

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely weekend. The sun is finally out here, it's been hiding for the last couple of days.

I decided to have some more fun with these adorable stamps from CC Designs. The cute little dog image and the sentiment are from the Spooky Spooky Spooky set from CC Designs. The haunted house image is from The Stampin Place. I stamped the haunted house with Memento black ink onto Georgia Pacific cardstock and colored it in with my copics. I added glitter with my Sakura glitter pen to the moon and to the light in the windows. I used Diamond Stickles for the ghosts. I then stamped the dog onto GP cardstock, colored him with copics, and cut him out. Next, I created my card base, which measures 5 1/4 by 5 1/4, out of SU's Pumpkin Pie. I layered Basic Black on top of that followed by my designer paper from DCWV Fall stack. I then mounted my haunted house image onto Pumpkin Pie followed by Basic Black, and then adhered that to the card base using dimensionals. I adhered the fence, which I punched from the MS spooky fence border punch, with dimensionals and placed it in front of the house. I then adhered the dog using dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment onto Pumpkin Pie and punched it out using SU's 1 3/8 circle punch. I used SU's scallop circle punch for the black scalloped circle and then placed orange rhinestones around the scallops. I adhered the sentiment using dimensionals. The ribbon is from M's.

I would love to hear what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll be back tomorrow :)

My first blog award!

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful Saturday. I received this fabulous blog award (and my first blog award) from Jeanette. Check out her fabulous blog here . Thank you SO much Jeanette, this was so sweet of you. I would like to pass this award on to everyone who has visited my blog. I'm so touched by all the sweet comments you all have left me, it really means a lot! :)

Well, hopefully I'll be back later today with a card posting. I've had a terrible sinus headache for the last couple of days so I've gotten a little behind. I'll definitely be back tomorrow at the latest. Take care everyone.

Autumn

Happy Friday everyone! TGIF! :) It's getting chillier and chillier here in WV, so I'm trying to get into the Fall spirit. For my card today, I stamped the scene (from The Stampin Place) with Memento black ink onto Georgia Pacific cardstock and colored it in with my copics. I then used my nestabilities to cut it out and then mounted it onto SU's Ruby Red (also cut out using nesties). I then stamped Tilda (from Magnolia stamps) onto GP cardstock, colored her with copics, and cut her out. I did the same with the hay (also from Magnolia stamps). My card base, which measures 5 1/2 by 5 1/2, is SU's Brocade Blue. I layered So Saffron on top of that followed by Ruby Red, followed by my designer paper from K&Co. I then mounted my scene onto the card base using dimensionals. I mounted the hay and Tilda using dimensionals as well.

Next, I stamped my sentiment, from Studio G, onto Ruby Red and punched it out using SU's Word Window punch. I then used a MS leaf punch for the leaves. For some finishing touches, I added Primas, a red rhinestone from Michael's, and Diamond Stickles to Tilda's wings.

I'd love to hear what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Autumn Greetings

Happy Wednesday everyone,

I have a super quick posting for you today. This card was certainly a labor of love :) It took me forever to color in all the leaves, trees, bushes, etc. I got the background scene from The Stampin Place. I inked it with Memento ink and stamped it onto Georgia Pacific cardstock. I then colored it with copics. I used my Sakura glitter pen to add some sparkles to the leaves. I then stamped Tilda onto GP cardstock, colored her with copics, and cut her out. I added Diamond Stickles to her wings and used my Sakura glitter pen on the flowers in her basket. My cardstock is all from SU (Pumpkin Pie, Close to Cocoa, and Ruby Red. The design paper is from DCWV Nana's Nursery (baby boy). The sentiment is from The Stampin Place. The ribbon is from M's dollar bin. I added Primas and an orange rhinestone (from M's) for finishing touches. Tilda and the scene are mounted with dimensionals.

I'd love to hear what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hugs, Christine :)

Life is in the Little Things

Happy Tuesday everyone,

My card today is my submission to Whiff of Joy Stamps' Guest Designer Call. As you can probably tell from some of my previous posts, I have fallen completely in love with these stamps and it would be a dream come true to be a guest designer for such a wonderful company. Click here to learn more about the Guest Designer Call.

Our task was to create a card using any of Katharina's sketches found on her fabulous blog. I chose sketch number 23, found here.

I inked up "Willow with Cookies" with Memento black ink and stamped her onto Georgia Pacific cardstock. I then colored her in with my copics. Next, I created my card base out of SU's Barely Banana (my card base measures 5 1/2 by 5 1/2). I then layered on top of that SU's Pretty in Pink. Next, I layered a strip of Barely Banana, followed by Pretty in Pink, followed by designer paper from Basic Grey. I then ran a pink ribbon, from Michael's, across the card base. I layered my Willow image onto Pretty in Pink followed by Barely Banana, and then adhered that onto the card base. I then stamped my sentiment, from Verve's Fairy Tales stamp set, onto Barely Banana and used SU's 1 3/8 circle punch to punch it out. I then used SU's scallop circle punch to punch out the scallop circle and adhered the sentiment to that. I then adhered the entire sentiment to the card base using dimensionals.

For some finishing touches, I added Primas and Martha Stewart pearls.

I would love to hear what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by. More tomorrow :)

Hugs, Chrisitne :)
