Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday :) I am so sorry it's been so long since I last posted, things have been crazy around here with work and with getting ready for Christmas. I do have a cute little Christmas card to share with you today so I'll get right to it.

As most of you know, I am lucky enough to be a member of the Joy's Life Stamps DT. Our DT challenge this week was to create a family themed card. Since my wonderful husband and I have not been blessed with children yet (except for our three fur babies :) ), he is my family, so I thought this adorable image from SVG Cuts would fit perfectly with the challenge. I cut the image (it's from the Kate's Silhouettes set from svg cuts) out using my Silhouette. I ran her dress through my cuttlebug using my polka dots embossing folder, put everything together, added some stickles to the mistletoe, and added some doodling with my white gel pen. The bow on her dress was made using some fun Baker's Twine sent in a DT package from the wonderful Joy herself :) Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from MME. I added some pearls, a ribbon, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. The adorable sentiment is from Joy's Wintery Puns Stamp Set. What do you think?

Wow, I'm so sorry it's been over a week since I last posted! I've been so swamped getting ready for Christmas and then this past weekend, I wasn't feeling too hot with sinus stuff and a sore throat. I'm still not feeling the greatest, but things have been so crazy busy at work, I can't call in sick, I must stick it out :) Anyway, I just wanted to check in with you all and let you know that I'm still here and I will definitely have some projects to share this week. Holiday Treats - Joy's Life Stamps Holiday Blog Hop

Hi everyone and Happy Friday!!! :) I don't know about you all, but I am SO happy it is Friday :) It's been the craziest week ever, but thankfully, I survived and I'm very much looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend. Hubby and I plan to finish getting our house decorated for Christmas, then hopefully we'll get to spend some quiet time getting caught up on our DVR recordings and hopefully a movie or two :) Anyway, thanks so much for joining me today. We have a super fun Holiday blog hop going on today, it's the Joy's Life Stamps Holiday Blog Hop!!! I have quite a few pictures of my project today so I'll quit chit chatting and get right to it :)

For my card today, I decided to use a non-traditional pink and pair it with more traditional colors (like red and green) to create a fun and colorful card. The adorable girl is from Lettering Delights (Holiday Shoppers Cut It Set). I LOVE Lettering Delights! This is my first time using one of their patterns and I am in love! Once you get the cut downloaded and opened in SCAL, you can see each layer, in a different color, making it so easy to see what you want to cut and what color you want to cut it in. I cut everything out using my wonderful Silhouette, then put everything together. I next created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from MME. For some finishing touches, I added Prima flowers and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and a cute bow from Michael's.

The red and green twine was sent by Joy, Miss Joy's Life herself in a sweet DT package she sent me. The pink twine was from Scrappy Moms Stamps. Such a fun addition to the card! :) What do you think?

What's the Buzz?

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! :) I'm so sorry I've been gone so long from the blogging world. I was so busy last week with work and getting ready for the Holidays that I didn't have any time at all to get into the craft room. Did you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving (for those here in the US)? We sure did, we always go up to my sister's (who lives very close so it's only about an hour drive) and my family meets there. We always eat awesome food (and way too much of it) :) Hubby and I also did some Black Friday shopping, but aside from Target and Michael's, I wasn't too impressed with the sales this year. Aside from that, I've been busy keeping up with everything going on at work and trying to get ready for Christmas. It really did me good to get back into the craft room last night and I'm excited to share my project with you today :)

As you know if you've been reading my blog lately, I was lucky enough to be asked to join the Joy's Life Stamps Design Team. Every other week, I am joined by several of the ladies from the fabulous DT for a challenge. Our challenge this week was to make a "boy" themed project. This was definitely a challenge for me! I love making girly projects and pink is my favorite color. I always struggle with boy themed projects, but I'm actually really happy with how my project turned out :) This adorable image is from My Scrap Chick (the Take Flight pattern set). I cut the image out using my Silhouette, did some inking around my image with SU Chocolate Chip ink, and then put everything together. The face stamp is from Peachy Keen Stamps. I also did some doodling with my white gel pen. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from MME. The corners were made using a SU punch. The adorable sentiment is of course from Joy's Life Stamps (You're So Punny set). What do you think?

Two Cards to Share

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! :) Today I get to share two cards with you. This is my first post as a DT member for Joy's Life Stamps and I'm so excited. Let's get right to it.

I decided to make two cards today to showcase some of Joy's awesome stamps. Here is my first card:

For this card, I used my Playtime Cricut Cartridge (love this cartridge) to cut out the girl with her dog. I used my Gypsy to hide her face. The face was made using a face stamp from the Wide Eyed Kids Assortment set from Peachy Keen Stamps. I did some doodling with my white gel pen, then put my card together using SU cardstock and DP from DCWV. I added a bow, a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts, and pearls for some finishing touches. The adorable sentiment is from Joy's Lots of Pun Stamp Set. What do you think?

Onto my second card:

For my second card, I also used the Playtime cricut cartridge to cut out the little girl. The cute ice cream cone was cut out using the Simply Charmed cartridge. The face was made using the Princess Face Assortment set from Peachy Keen Stamps. My DP is from DCWV. I added dew drops, pearls, a bow and ribbon, and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts. My sentiment is from Joy's Yummy Puns Stamp Set. What do you think?

Christmas Wishes - My First Christmas Card of the Season

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday! Wow, what a crazy week so far and it's only Tuesday! :) I did manage to get a quick card made last night, my first Christmas card of the season.

For my card, I used this adorable cut from the Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridge (probably my favorite winter/Christmas cartridge). I cut the image out at 4 inches (I designed everything in my Gypsy). I hid her face in my Gypsy and used a Peachy Keen face stamp (from the Princess Face Assortment set). I ran her coat through my Cuttlebug using my Swiss Dots embossing folder, and then put everything together. I did some doodling with my white gel pen. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from DCWV (loved the nontraditional colors). I added some pearls, a bow, snowflakes (these are from Me and My Big Ideas, I got them at Michael's and have been hoarding them :) ), and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts for some finishing touches. I usually stamped my sentiment on the outside, but the paper was too pretty to cover up so this time I stamped it on the inside. My sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps. What do you think?

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! :) I'm so sorry it's been so long since I posted. I have been so crazy busy around here. For those of you that follow me on Facebook, you may already know this, but at the end of last week, I rescued the sweetest, friendliest, most loving stray cat I've ever seen. He was abandoned outside of the courthouse where I work. I took him to the vet and now he's home with us and he's just the sweetest thing ever. I've been so busy taking care of him (he was sick) and running around like crazy at work that I haven't had much time to craft. Luckily I was able to get into the craft room last night and I have a fun birthday card to share with you today.

The adorable turtle is from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs (the Party Animal set). I cut the image out using my Silhouette, put all the pieces together, and then did some doodling with my white gel pen. I used an adorable Peachy Keen face stamp for his sweet face (the Wide Eyed Kids Assortment stamp set). Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. The DP is from MME. The sentiment is from Studio G (from the $1 bin at Michael's). I added some pearls for finishing touches. What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday :) Whew, it has been a crazy week and I'm feeling just a tad run down. I'm looking forward to the weekend and some rest :) I have another super fun Halloween card to share with you today so I'll get right to it.

For my card today, I decided to make a Thanksgiving card (I usually don't do too many of these, but I wanted to change that this year :) ). I decided to use this cute little pilgrim from the Paper Doll Dress Up cricut cartridge. I cut the doll out, did some doodling around all the pieces, and then added that adorable face stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps (this one is from the Princess Face Assortment set). I then created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from DCWV. The cute sentiment is from Studio G (I got it at Wal-Mart). I added a bow and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts as well as swirls (punched out with an EK Success punch) and pearls. What do you think?

For my card today, I decided to cut out this adorable "bat kitty" from the Happy Hauntings cartridge. The fancy circle was cut out using Elegant Edges. I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from DCWV. I mounted the fancy circle and the cat to the card base using dimensionals. I added a ribbon and bow, three pearls, and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts for some finishing touches. The super cute sentiment is from Studio G (I got it at Wal-Mart for $1.00). What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! I hope your week is off to a great start. I had a bit of a cold over the weekend, but was still able to have a few friends over on Saturday night for some fun and then yesterday, I took it easy and rested. Today I have to give a presentation for work and then I have a crazy week of court the rest of the week so I have a lot of prep work to do. I'll keep this short and sweet and get right to my card :)

A Pumpkin Bear and Sweet Kittens

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! :) I hope you are all having a wonderful week. It's been crazy busy for me trying to catch up with everything after being gone a week, but I'm hanging in there :) I have two cards to share with you today so I'll get right to it :)

For my first card today, I decided to use this adorable little pumpkin bear from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs (LSHD). This particular pattern is called "Baby's First Halloween", but for my card, I just left out the cute little pacifier (it's really cute, but just didn't fit with the theme of my card). I cut everything out using SCAL 3.0 and my Silhouette, then shaded around everything using chalk ink. I did some doodling with my white gel pen, then put everything together. The face is from Peachy Keen Stamps (tear bear face parts stamp set). Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from MME. For some finishing touches, I added some swirls in the corners, which I cut out using an EK Success punch, a bow, and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts. The cute sentiment is from My Creative Time. What do you think?

For my second card today, I decided to use these two adorable cats from My Scrap Chick (Chubby Little Cats pattern set). I cut both kittens out using my Silhouette, put everything together, and then did some doodling with my white gel pen. I created my card base out of SU cardstock and my DP is from DCWV. I added a bow and rose from Wild Orchid Crafts for some finishing touches. The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps. This card is for my sweet friend Pati, who took such good care of our two kitten fur babies while we were on vacation last week. Thanks Pati!

Ghouls Just Want to Have Fun

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! :) Hubby and I spent the last week in wonderful, beautiful Charleston, SC. We had a wonderful, wonderful time. We stayed on the Isle of Palms just 15 minutes outside of downtown Charleston. We saw dolphins almost every day (I've never seen them so close to the shore before). If you are ever in Charleston in September or October, I definitely recommend doing a tour or two put on by the Preservation Society of the historic homes and gardens. SO much fun! It was just beautiful and we were both sad to leave :) I'm hopeful that some day, we won't have to leave, we hope to move there someday :) Onto my card for today.

Paper, Scissors, & Punches . . . Oh My

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! I hope you are all having a wonderful week. I have a super fun card to share with you today. This is my first post as a new DT member for Little Scraps of Heaven Designs and I'm so excited! :)

For my card today, I decided to use this adorable crafty angel bear (available HERE). I cut the image out using my Silhouette. I ran the cloud through my Cuttlebug using the swirls embossing folder and then I ran her dress through my Cuttlebug using my swiss dots embossing folder. I then put everything together and then added the face using my Peachy Keen face stamps (the nose is from the Tear Bears face parts and the eyes are from the Princess Face Assortment (the pattern comes with cut out eyes and nose, I just sometimes like to change it up and add these sweet Peachy Keen faces) :) I then did some doodling with my white gel pen and then added some Stickles to her wings and to the swirls on the cloud. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. I adhered the image to my card base using dimensionals. I added pearls, a bow, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts for some finishing touches. The adorable sentiment is from My Creative Time. What do you think?

My friend Christy (from Tiddly Inks) has created some new paper piecing patterns for My Scrap Chick. For my card today, I decided to cut out this adorable dog house and puppy dog from the Everday Paper Dolls Cricut Cartridge. I welded the dog to the dog house in my Gypsy, then copied the design and flipped it and then welded it together to create a shape card. I then cut the dog house out twice (once for the base, once for the roof and door so I could do a different color). Then I cut the dog out, hid his face using the hide contour feature on my Gypsy, then stamped his cute little face using the brand new puppy face stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps. I did lots of doodling with my white gel pen, then put everything together. I added a little bow to the puppy's hair using Baker's Twine and I added a pink rhinestone to the dog's collar. Finally, I stamped my sentiment, which is from Studio G. What do you think?

Hi eveyone and Happy Monday! :) I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that your week is off to a great start. We had a lovely weekend here. Saturday we went out to a nice lunch and ran some errands and then yesterday, we just relaxed a bit, I did some crafting, hubby watched some football . . . it was a really nice stress free day :) I even finished a book called The Help (a movie just came out based on the book). Wow, what a fabulous book, I LOVED it and I definitely recommend it! Well, enough chit chat and onto the reason you're really here, my card :) I'm still in a Halloween mood so I have another Halloween card to share with you today.

For my card today, I decided to use this adorable ghost and cauldron image from My Scrap Chick (Hocus Pocus collection). I just LOVE this cute little image. I designed my card using my SCAL 3.0 software. I sized everything the way I wanted it, then I cut everything out using my Silhouette. Next I inked around the edges of my pieces, did some doodling with my white and black gel pens, and then put everything together. Next I created my card base using SU cardstock. My DP is actually from the $1 spot at Target. I adhered my image to my card base with dimensionals. I then used an EK Sucess punch for the swirls in the corners, then added pearls, a bow, and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts for some finishing touches. The adorable sentiment is from My Creative Time(All Around Halloween stamp set). How adorable is that sentiment?!?! Emma comes up with the coolest designs! I punched the image out with a SU circle punch and then backed it with a scalloped circle, also from a SU punch. I also did some stiching around the sentiment with my white gel pen. What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! I hope you all are having a wonderful week! As those of you who have read my blog for some time know, I LOVE Halloween and I love creating Halloween projects. I was able to get into the craft room last night and I have a Halloween car to share with you today :)

For my card today, I decided to cut out this adorable little girl dressed as a kitten from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. The cat is also from that cartridge. I hid the faces and used my Peachy Keen face stamps. I then did some doodling and then put everything together. The pumpkin candy holder is from the Happy Hauntings cartridge. I next created my card base using SU cardstock. My DP is from K&Co. I adhered my images to my card base using dimensionals. For some finishing touches, I added pearls, a ribbon, and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts. My sentiment is from Studio G (I got it at Wal-Mart). What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! :) I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that your week is off to a great start. It felt so good to get back into the craft room yesterday. I have a super simple fall card to share with you today so I'll get right to it.

For my card today, I decided to use this adorable little squirrel from the Create a Critter cartridge. The stump and the little acorn are also from Create a Critter. I designed everything in my Gypsy and then cut it out with my Cricut. Next I put everything together and then did some doodling with my white and black gel pens. I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from last year's fall stack from Recollections. I added some red swirls to the corners (punched out using an EK Success punch), red pearls, a bow, and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts. The super cute sentiment is from Studio G (I found it at Wal-Mart, they have redone their scrapbooking section and have tons of cute stamps for under $1). What do you think?

For my card today, I decided to cut out this adorable little fish from SK Designs. This particular image is from the Ocean Wonders Pattern Set. I cut the image out using my Silhouette, did some inking with some Cat's Eye chalk ink, and then put everything together. I did some doodling with my white gel pen and then created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from MME. The adorable sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps. The swirls are from my EK Success punch. I added some pearls, ribbon, and a flower from Wild Orchid Crafts for some finishing touches. What do you think?

Once Upon a Time Layout

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and for those of you on the East Coast, I hope you stayed safe during the hurricane. I have a layout to share with you today, I actually had this one finished before I got ill two weeks ago, but didn't get around to posting it until today. I'm working on our wedding album. I wanted to make kind of a cutesy fairytale album since I feel like I married my prince charming :)

I mixed two patterns from Little Scraps of Heaven for my layout. The princess with the long hair is from the Rapunzel set. The tower, prince, and horse are from the Sleeping Beauty set. I decided to make "Rapunzel" brunette. I know she's technically blond, but I'm brunette and it's my fairytale so I think it's okay :) I cut the grass out using my Cricut and my Paperdoll Dress Up cartridge and the title is from the Storybook cartridge. I cut everything out (the SVG pieces were cut out using my Silhouette), did some doodling with my white gel pen, and then put everything together. I used my Peachy Keen Princess Face Assortment stamps for the faces. I put everything together and used lots of dimensionals. My cardstock is from SU and my DP is from MME. What do you think?

Have a Haunted Halloween

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! :) I hope you are having a wonderful week. Today I have another Halloween project to share with you (I'm trying to get a head start because I have lots of people I'd like to send Halloween cards to this year).

For my card today, I decided to use this adorable "Frank 'N Bear" pattern from Scraptastical Kreations (you can find the pattern in the A Haunted Halloween Pattern Set). I have fallen in love with this little guy, isn't he cute?!?! I cut the image out with my Silhouette and then used my Tear Bear Face Parts from Peachy Keen Stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps. These little faces are just perfect for all your paper piecing, I just love them! I put everything together and then did some doodling with my white gel pen. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from Target, of all places (this paper was from last year's Halloween collection). I added some spider webs in the corners using my Martha Stewart corner punch. I adhered my image with dimensionals and then added a bow for a finishing touch. The sentiment is from Michael's (Studio G). What do you think?

Happy Birthday Layout

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! Did you all have a good weekend? I sure did! On Saturday, I got to hang out with my pal Marti (Pezadoodle). We went to Vienna, Virginia to an old toy/miniature/doll store. It is such a WONDERFUL store! Just beautiful! My mom used to go there when she was younger and then my mom would take me when I was younger. Marti and I are both working on dollhouses now so we decided to go pick up some supplies. We were there coincidentally on the six year anniversary of my mom's passing so it was truly a wonderful way to remember my mom. So much fun! Then on Sunday, I went with hubby and a friend to see Cowboys and Aliens. I LOVED it (is that weird?) :) I even got some time in the craft room yesterday and I have a birthday layout to share today.

For my project today, I decided to create an 8x8 birthday layout. My cute little bear is from Scraptastical Kreations (the Let's Celebrate Pattern Set). I cut her out using my Silhouette and added some dimension to the balloons using my Cuttlebug and my embossing folders. I created the face using the Tear Bear Face Parts face set from Peachy Keen Stamps. These faces are PERFECT for your paper piecing patterns. Too cute! :) I put everything together and then did some doodling with my white gel pen. Next I created my scrapbook page using SU cardstock. My DP is from MME. I cut the sentiment out with my Cricut using the Birthday Bash cartridge. I added a ribbon and heart charm and then adhered my little bear with dimensionals. I used Baker's Twine to tie the balloons to her paw. What do you think?

Scrapastical Kreations Friday Challenge

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! I'm so excited that the weekend is finally here. Any exciting plans? I'm getting together with a friend tomorrow to go to a dollhouse shop and I'm so excited. I have a dollhouse that I've had for years and I can't wait to get it all put together and decorated.

Well, it's Friday so that means that it's another Friday challenge over on the Scrapstaical Kreations fan page over on Facebook. Our challenge this week was to alter something, anything, using a SK pattern.

For my project, I decided to alter a little miniature bucket that I got at Michael's. I used this adorable Dracula bear from the A Haunted Halloween Pattern Set. My DP is from MME and I tied lots of ribbons to the handle. Just a cute little bucket I can fill with candy and treats for Halloween. What do you think?

Two New Cricut Cards

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I had an awesome time Saturday evening with some friends. I hosted a little scrapping party here at my house. We made three cards and talked, ate, laughed, it was so much fun. I wanted to share the two other cards I created for the class (my post before this one was the first card I did for the class).

For my first card, I created this fun, girly card using the Forever Young Cricut Cartridge. I love this cartridge, so many fun cuts. I cut the image out, then ran her dress through my Cuttlebug using my Swiss Dots embossing folder. I put everything together and then did some doodling with my white gel pen. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from DCWV. I added a ribbon, bow, and some pearls. I then adhered the image to my card base using dimensionals. The sentiment is from an old set, not sure who made it.

For my second card, I decided to use this adorable bird cut from Create a Critter. I cut the bird out, put her wing through the Cuttlebug, put everything together, and then did some doodling with my white gel pen. I also added a pearl to the flower in her hair. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from Recollections (Michael's brand). I added a bow and rose from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is from an old Hero Arts set. Life's Better in Flip Flops

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! :) This has been the craziest week ever, I'm sorry I haven't posted too much. Work has been SO insane and I've also been prepping like a crazy person for a card-making party I'm having tomorrow (I'm SO excited!). I have a card to share with you today and this is actually one of the cards I'm going to be teaching my friends to make tomorrow at the class. It's a simple Cricut card, hope you like it :)

Another Double Paged Layout to Share!

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! Sorry for not sharing a project with you yesterday, but this double-paged layout took me two evenings to complete! :) Monday evening, I cut all the pieces out and planned the layout and then last night, I put everything together. This post is very picture heavy so I'll get right to it.

All of the cuts used in my layout today came from the absolutely adorable Ocean Wonders SVG Pattern Set from Scraptastical Kreations (except the waves, which came from SVG Cuts). I just love this set, I think the little scuba bears are too cute! :) I cut everything out with my Silhouette, ran the shorts on the bears through my Cuttlebug using my bubbles embossing folder, ran the shell through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots embossing folder, chalked around everything, and then put everything together. The masks of the scuba goggles were cut out using acetate, which looks really cool in person. I did some doodling with my white gel pen as well after everything was put together. Next I created my scrapbook pages using cardstock and DP from DCWV. I then adhered my photos (which are more pictures from our amazing trip to Charleston, SC last summer (we went this summer as well and are going back in October so I'll be doing lots of Charleston scrapping :) ). These pictures are more pictures from my beloved Follly Beach. LOVE that place! After I adhered the pictures, I adhered all of my cuts using dimensionals for some extra pop. What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Monday. Did you have a good weekend? We sure did. I had a fun date night with my hubby on Friday night. We had dinner and then went and saw Captain America, which I thought was really good, we both really liked it. Saturday we went to my sisters to spend some time with the family and to celebrate her birthday. Yesterday I ran tons of errands and hubby did some work. All in all, a really nice weekend :)

For my card today, I decided to create a birthday card using the Let's Celebrate pattern set from Scraptastical Kreations. I cut the images out using my Silhouette, ran the tablecloth through my Cuttlebug using my Swiss Dots embossing folder, put everything together, and then did some doodling with my white gel pen. I also added some Stickles to the candle flames. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from K&Co. For some finishing touches, I added a bow, pearls, dew drops, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. The swirls were made using a punch from EK Success. What do you think?

Oh Snap!

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! I'm SO excited that the weekend is finally almost here. It has been the longest week, but I survived and now I get to rest and relax this weekend :) I have a lot of craft work to do. Next weekend, I'm also hosting a card making/scrapbooking class/girl's night out with some friends of mine so I'm going to prepare for that too. Fun times ahead! :)

Today is Friday so it's another Friday challenge over on the Scraptastical Kreations Facebook Fan Club Page. Our challenge this week was a color challenge. We could create any project using only the colors red, tan, and black, as well as a SK pattern or digi stamp. I decided to put together a super quick and fun card using this adorable crab from the Ocean Wonders Pattern Set. I cut the image out with my Silhouette, put all the pieces together, and then did some doodling with my white gel pen. My cardstock is from SU. For some added touches, I added Bakers Twine and red pearls. My sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps (Amusing Animals set). What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! Sorry for not sharing a project with you yesterday. I was so exhausted after work yesterday, I came home and crashed and was asleep by 8 :) To make up for my lack of projects yesterday, I have two cards to share with you today so I'll get right to it :)

For my first card, I decided to use this adorable image from Scraptastical Kreations. This particular image is called Pocket Full of Love. How cute is he?!?! :) I downloaded the SVG file into my SCAL program and then cut it out with my Silhouette. I chalked around all the edges, put everything together, and then did some doodling with my white gel pen. The cute little bow in her hair is Bakers Twine. I then created my card base using SU cardstock. My DP is from K&Co. I adhered my image to my card base using dimensionals and then added pearls and a ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

I cut the image out using my Silhouette and then ran her swim suit and the waves through my Cuttlebug using my embossing folders. I put a little bow in her hair using some Baker's Twine. For some finishing touches, I added roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and dew drops. My sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps (Sun Kissed set). I used a face stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps (Princess Face Assortment) for her cute face, then added some pink chalk for blush for her cheeks. I put everything together and then created my card base. My DP is from DCWV. I adhered my image to my card base using dimensionals and then added some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and some pearls for some finishing touches. Sweet Baby Girl

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! :) Did you have a nice weekend? We had a wonderful weekend here. Just got to spend some time with my wonderful husband and then some time with my family Sunday evening for a nice dinner. My step-brother and his wife just had a baby girl so we got to meet her and oh my is she beautiful! :) I made my card today for them as a congratulations on their beautiful baby girl :)

I cut the adorable little carriage out using the Sugar and Spice Lite Cricut Cartridge. I ran the base of the carriage through my Cuttlebug using my Swiss Dots embossing folder. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from DCWV (Nana's Nursery Baby Girl stack). I cut the main piece of DP out using my Elegant Edges cricut cartridge (that's how I got that gorgeous swirly border around the paper). For some finishing touches, I added a small bow using Baker's Twine to the base of the handle of the carriage. I then added a larger pink bow and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Having Fun Layout

Hi everyone and Happy Saturday! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Hubby and I are going to run some errands today and then tomorrow we're going to my dad's for a BBQ dinner which I'm looking forward to. It's just so hot here, it will be nice to just sort of hang out and veg a bit this weekend :) For my project today, I decided to create a scrapbook page layout using an adorable pattern from Scraptastical Kreations.

The cute little bear jumping rope is the Jumping Rope Pattern over at Scraptastical Kreations. Isn't she adorable? :) I cut her out using my Silhouette, inked around all the pieces, and then ran the bow, shirt, and shorts through my Cuttlebug using my Swiss Dots embossing folder. I then put everything together and then added a pearl to the center of the flower on her shirt. Next I created my layout using SU cardstock. My DP is from MME. I added my photo mat, then adhered the bear to my layout using dimensionals. Finally, the "Having Fun" sentiment was cut using my Cricut and the Playtime cricut cartridge. What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! So glad it's Friday and the weekend is almost here :) Any exciting plans for this weekend? I'm not sure what we're doing tomorrow. Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! Wow, I can't believe it's Thursday already, this week is flying by. I still have so much to get done this week, I wish there were a few extra hours in the day :)

For my card today, I decided to use this adorable cut from My Scrap Chick. This particular image is from the Bella and Baxtor Pet Palz. Isn't she cute? I just love her. I cut her out using my Silhouette, did some doodling with my white gel pen, and then adhered everything together using dimensionals. The faces on the kitten and the girl are from Peachy Keen Stamps I then created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from MME. For some finishing touches, I added ribbon, a bow, pearls, dew drops, and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps. What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! Phew, it is hot here in WV (I live very close to the DC area), it is just miserable! Is it hot where you are? With this heat, I just want to veg out and eat ice cream :) Unfortunately, I must go to work, ugh! :)

For my card today, I decided to create a card using an adorable pattern from My Scrap Chick. This adorable cute little bear is from the Beach Bears Volume 2 set. How cute is she?!?! I just LOVE her. The patterns from this company really let you add dimension the way they are set up so I used lots of dimensionals for extra pop. I used my Silhouette to cut cut out all the pieces. I then chalked around all the edges, did some doodling with my white gel pen, ran her bow and swimsuit through my Cuttlebug with my Swiss Dots embossing folder, and then put everything together. For her face, instead of using cut out eyes, I used my Peachy Keen princess face stamps and just inked up the eyes. How cute is that? Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from Colorbox (I got a packet at Target for $.99. For some finishing touches, I added pearls and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps (Sun Kissed Stamp Set). What do you think?

For my card today, I decided to create a card using this super cute image from Scraptastical Kreations. This cute little cowgirl bear is from the Western Days Pattern Set. I cut her out using my Silhouette, did some chalking around the pieces, put everything together and then did some doodling with my white gel pen. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from Debbie Mumm. I adhered my cute little cowgirl to my card base with dimensionals and then added a bow, pearls, roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, and dew drops for some finishing touches. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things. What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We had a great weekend here, hubby and I saw Harry Potter on Saturday (it was wonderful!) and then Saturday night I had a girls night out/jewelry party with some girlfriends. Yesterday I got a lot accomplished around the house and even had some time in the craft room. All in all, a great weekend, it just went by too fast! :)

For my card today, I decided to create a card using the new Love You a Latte cricut cartridge (LOVE this cartridge). I first made the shape of the card welding two stamp-shaped squares together using my Gysy and the Pack Your Bags cartridge. I then cut the cute coffee mug out using Love You a Latte. I put everything together and then did some doodling with my white gel pen. I then adhered the coffee mug to my card base using dimensionals. I then adhered my coffee mug to my card base using dimensionals. For some finishing touches I added pearls and a bow. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things stamps. What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Saturday! I hope you enjoyed the grand opening of my friend Kristy's brand new store, Scraptastical Kreations. I hope you enjoyed the blog hop yesterday too. Do you have any exciting plans for the weekend? Today hubby and I are going out to lunch, then to see Harry Potter (I pre-ordered our tickets so we are guaranteed a seat :) ). I'm so excited, I LOVE the Harry Potter books and have read them all at lease once. I have two bookcases in our library dedicated to Harry Potter, including all the books (both paperback and hardcover, Harry Potter bookends, bookmarks, snow globes . . . I'm a crazy fan :) ). Other than that, hubby has to work some this weekend so I hope to get a few more layouts done. Well, enough chit chat, onto my project for today :)

I decided to create a cute, simple, masculine birthday card for my project today. Isn't this little guy adorable? I love the balloon animal in his paw :) The cute bear comes from the brand new Scraptastical Kreations pattern called Let's Celebrate. Kristy just unveiled this new set yesterday as part of the grand opening of the store. Isn't it adorable? I see lots of projects in my future with this set :) I downloaded the file from the website and then loaded it into SCAL and sized everything the way I wanted it. I then cut all the pieces out using my Silhouette, inked around the bear pieces, and then put everything together (I use a zip dry glue pen for gluing my paper pieces together, I use it for my Cricut cuts too, it works great). After I put everything together, I did some doodling using my white gel pen. Next I created my card base using SU cardstock. My DP is from MME (My Mind's Eye), Party Time paper stack. For some finishing touches, I added a navy blue bow (tied with my Bow Easy) and blue pearls. The sentiment is from an old Hero Arts set. What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! I'm so glad the weekend is here! My husband and I already pre-ordered our tickets to see Harry Potter tomorrow, I'm so excited :) Well, today is a HUGE day here on my blog so I'm going to keep my chit chat short and get right to it.

As those of you who follow my blog know, lately, I have "discovered" paper piecing and have fallen in love with it. Kristy had seen some of my work with paper piecing and asked me to be on her Design Team! I was SO honored and SO floored to be asked and of course I said yes right away. Today and for the rest of the weekend, the DT is celebrating the grand opening of the store.

Today we are kicking off our GRAND OPENING at Scraptastical Kreations and thought it would be fun to host a hop featuring our new Design Team! Each Design Team member has chosen a different file to showcase today and we know you are going to love what they have brought to the table! Today, I had the privilege of showcasing the adorable Berry Sweet Kids Pattern Set How cute is this set?!?! I decided to make a one page scrapbook layout. I'm so sorry for the picture overload, I really wanted to get some good shots of these adorable little bears :)

I downloaded the SVG file from the website, uploaded it into my Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL) 3.0 program, and then cut everything out using my Silhouette. Before piecing all the pieces together, I chalked around all the edges, then ran the little bear's dress through my Cuttlebug using my Swiss Dots embossing folder. I then put everything together and then used my white gel pen for some doodling. I then created my scrapbook page using SU cardstock. My DP is from K&Co. What do you think?

I then created my layout using SU cardstock. My DP is from DCWV. I actually added pictures to this one. These pictures were taking last summer during our vacation to Charleston, South Carolina. We went again this summer, but I'm obviously way behind in my scrapbooking :) These pictures were taken on my beloved Folly Beach. What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! We're halfway through the work week, which is wonderful. I'm so excited for the weekend, I already pre-purchased tickets for hubby and me to go see the last Harry Potter movie, I can't wait!

For my card today, I cut out this adorable image using my Cricut and the Meow Lite cartridge (all the older Lite cartridges are on sale at Wal-Mart right now if you are interested). I cut the image out using SU cardstock. After I pieced everything together, I added some chalk for "blush" for the kitten's cheeks, then did some doodling with my white gel pen. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from MME. I added bows made with Bakers Twine to the clothes line, then added pearls roses from Wild Orchid Crafts for a finishing touch. The adorable sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps (Amusing Animals set) . What do you think?

The Best Ship is Friendship

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday! :) I hope you are having a wonderful week! I'm so swamped at work this week, but I've been making myself come home and relax a bit and do some crafting (it helps me unwind :) ). Hubby and I have also been watching re-runs of The Office when we have a spare minute, which is one of my favorite shows and always makes me laugh out loud (LOVE that show!) :) Anyway, onto my card for today.

I decided to create another card for today using an SVG file and my Silhouette. I purchased the SVG file from Treasure Box Designs (Yo Ho Ho set). I then downloaded the file into Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL) version 3.0 (this is the only version you can use with your Silhouette, it's the newest version and the only one available for purchase). After I downloaded it into SCAL, I imported the ship image and the girl pirate image, sized everything the way I wanted it, placed my paper on my mat, and cut. After I cut everything out, I inked around the edges, ran the girl's dress through my Cuttlebug using my Swiss Dots embossing folder, and then did some doodling with my white and black gel pens. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from MME (My Mind's Eye). The sentiment (isn't it perfect with these images?!?!) is from Scrappy Moms Stamps (Sun Kissed set). What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful week and that your week is off to a great start! Had a nice weekend here, I mostly stayed in and helped my husband with some work stuff and got a little crafting done (not as much as I would have liked, it's going to be a busy week, I have lots of things I want to share with you this week :)).

For my card today, I decided to create a cute and festive birthday card (you can never have too many birthday cards laying around :) ). I cut the adorable little girl out from the Playtime Lite Cricut Cartridge (I got mine off of Ebay months ago, I'm SO glad I did, I LOVE this cartridge!) I used the "hide contour" feature on my Gypsy to hide her face and then used my Peachy Keen Princess Face Stamps for her cute face. I also ran her dress through my Cuttlebug using my Swiss Dots embossing folder. I then put everything together and then did some doodling using my white gel pen. Next I cut the balloons out using my Birthday Bash cricut cartridge. I put everything together, then did some doodling around the balloons as well. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from MME. For some finishing touches, I added pearls, a bow (tied with my Bow Easy), a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts, and some Baker's Twine for the cute little bow holding the balloons together. The super cute sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps (Sweet Somethings set). What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! I can't believe how fast this week is flying by. I had the craziest day yesterday at work, SO busy, and definitely not the right day to wear my 4 and a half inch heels :) I love cute shoes, but sometimes they are so not practical :) At least of the rest of the week is calm so that's good :) I came home last night so tired, but I had this idea for a card all day long so I made myself go into the craft room and make it :)

For my card today, I decided to cut out this adorable image from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. This particular pattern is called Kissing a Frog Pattern and I think she is oh SO cute! I downloaded the SVG file into my SCAL 3.0 program and then sized the image at 5". Next I cut everything out and then I inked around the edges for added dimension. I then ran the skirt of her dress through my Cuttlebug using the Swirls embossing folder for some added texture. I then put everything together and then did some doodling with my white and black gel pens. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from K&Co (I got it at Michael's, they have some gorgeous summery packs out right now). I used my SU Ticket Corner punch on all the corners and then added pearls. Next I adhered my image using dimensionals. I then added a bow (tied with my Bow Easy), dew drops, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts for some finishing touches. My sentiment is from My Creative Time's You Had Me at Chocolate stamp set (I love Emma's stamps, they are fantastic!) What do you think?

Life's a Beach

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! Boy do I have a crazy day at work today so I'm going to keep my chit chat short and get right to my card :)

For my card today, I decided to create a fun, bright, glittery summer-themed card :) My friend Kristy has opened up a new paper-piecing store that you absolutely MUST check out. The store is called Scraptastical Kreations and her designs are oh so cute! Her grand opening is coming up soon and she's going to be adding lots more patterns soon so keep checking back. The particular pattern I used is called Just Beachy and it is SO cute! I love all the patterns in this set. I decided to cut out the little girl bear with the sand bucket. I downloaded the SVG file (you get all the cuts together at one price), then used my SCAL 3.0 program to size everything, then cut it all out with my Silhouette. I inked around all the pieces, then put everything together. To add some extra dimension, I did some doodling with my white and black gel pens. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from K&Co (this paper is really pretty and so glittery in person, but there is now glitter everywhere! :) ). I adhered my image to my card base using dimensionals, then added pearls, a bow, dew drops, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts for some finishing touches. Pixie Dust

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday! I hope all my friends in the US had a wonderful 4th of July! We had a great long weekend here. On Saturday, hubby and I went out to a nice lunch and then saw the new Transformers movie (it was his turn to pick the movie :) ). It was actually really good though, I was pleasantly surprised, I really enjoyed it. Yesterday we had brunch with a friend then watched some movies at home curled up with the kittens. Today hubby had to work so I vegged out, did some crafting, and made us a nice dinner (chicken, mashed potatoes, fresh corn on the cob, and cantaloupe, yum!). I also finished the latest book by my most favorite author ever, Karen White. Her latest novel, The Beach Trees, is absolutely fabulous as are all her books. I highly recommend them! Today it's back to work, but this work week isn't looking too bad so I can't complain :) Well, enough chit chat and onto my card :)

For my card today, I decided to use this adorable image from Treasure Box Designs. This particular image is called Tooth Fairy. I decided to turn her into a "regular" fairy and I didn't use the tooth image :) I purchased the SVG file from Treasure Box Designs, then downloaded it into my SCAL 3.0 program and then cut it out using my Silhouette. I chalked around all my pieces, then pieced everything together. After I pieced everything together, I did some doodling with my white and black gel pens. The cardstock is from SU and the pink glittery paper is from DCWV. Next I put my card base together using SU cardstock. My DP is from Basic Grey. I wrapped some chocolate colored twine around the DP and then adhered my image with dimensionals. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch on the top piece of cardstock. The adorable sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps (Happily Ever After set). For a finishing touch, I added some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and some dew drops. What do you think?

One Day Out West . . .

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! One day closer to the weekend, yay! :) I am SO excited to share my project with you today so I'll keep my chit chat super short and get right on to my project (warning, this post is picture heavy).

I decided to create a two-page 8x8 layout spread for one of my scrapbooks. When I was growing up, I was fortunate and blessed enough to have wonderful parents who took me on fabulous vacations every year. I got to see so many parts of the country and the world and I am SO grateful for that. One of my favorite trips was a trip we took out west to New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado. We of course saw the Grand Canyon as well as so many other wonderful things. We have tons of photo albums full of pictures from these trips. I lost my mom six years ago and I still find it difficult to open those photo albums. I decided that I would honor her and those wonderful memories by picking out some of my favorite photos from each trip and scrapping them. This is the first layout spread in this journey of mine and I hope you like it :)

Here is the two page spread (I know the picture isn't great, it's hard to get both pages together in one picture). I haven't added my photos/photo mats or my title yet because I'm not sure yet which pictures I'm going to pick. The absolutely adorable cut out images were made using my Silhouette. I downloaded all the images from Treasure Box Designs. All the images I cut out were from the Southwest Collection. You get all the images I cut out plus a couple more, plus diagrams on how to put all the pieces together all for just $2.99! How cool is that?!?! I cut all my pieces out and then inked around the edges with various chalks and inks. I still need to work on this technique, but I'm getting there :) I put all my pieces together and then did some doodling with my white and black gel pens. Then I put my scrapbook pages together using SU cardstock and Debbie Mumm DP.

Very First Silhouette Project

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! It's the middle of the week already, can you believe it?!?! I'm so excited the weekend is almost here. My Silhouette arrived yesterday and I got to play with it some when I got home from work!!! I decided that for my first project, I wanted to cut out an adorable image from an SVG file (there are so many SVG files available online, they are so cheap, and some are even free . . . this is why I wanted to get a Silhouette in the first place, I wanted to be able to access these adorable images; to cut these images out with the Silhouette, you will need either SCAL (Sure Cuts A Lot) or MTC (Make the Cut) software. I have SCAL 3.0). I first downloaded my image from Treasure Box Designs (it's from the Girly Girls set). Isn't she super sweet? I just love the artwork over at Treasure Box Designs, she has the cutest stuff! After I got everything all cut out, I inked around all my pieces with chalk and then began putting my image together. It's very different from putting together a cricut cut. On the cricut cuts, you have a base and you work your way up. For these sort of paper-piecing SVG files, you sort of weave the pieces in and out, some are attached behind a piece, others are attached on top of the piece. It's just different. As you can see, my image did not come out perfect at all, I still have a lot of practicing to do, but it's a good start :)

After I finally put my pieces together, I did some doodling with my white gel pen and then added some rhinestones to the flowers in her hair and a pearl button to her jumper. Next I created my card base. My DP is from K&Co. I added a bow and some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is from an old Studio G set. What do you think?

As for my initial thoughts on the Silhouette, I LOVE it! It cuts like butter, it really does. For instance, the eyes on the image are not drawn (the white part is drawn, but the black eyes are not, they were cut out with the Silhouette, as was the nose). These pieces are tiny, but they cut like a dream. I truly love this machine, I'm so glad I took the plunge :) Don't worry Cricut lovers, I'm not abandoning my Cricut. I just wanted to be able to expand on the different types of art I'm able to utilize and that's why I purchased the Silhouette. I'll be sharing lots more Silhouette/SVG projects with you over the coming days.

It's a Kitten Kind of Day

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! :) Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Ours was crazy busy on Saturday, we had a lot of errands to run but hubby did take me to TGI Fridays (I love that place :)) for a nice lunch. Yesterday we did chores around the house and I was able to get some work done in the craft room. Unfortunately I didn't get a layout done, but I did manage to get a few cards done and I have a couple kitten themed cards to share with you today.

For my first card, I created this adorable shaped cat card using my Gypsy and my Create a Critter cartridge. I first welded the cat to the fluffy pillow. Then I copied that image, then flipped it upside down, then welded it to the first cat at the ears so as to create a card base. I then cut out the other layers and put everything together. Next I did lots of doodling with my white gel pen (I love using this, I really think it adds some dimension to the cuts). For my second card, I cut out this adorable image using my Meow cricut lite cartridge (this is a super cute cartridge and is on sale right now at Wal-Mart if you are looking for it). I cut the image out and used the "hide contour" feature to hide the face on the girl and the face on the cat. I then used my Peachy Keen face stamps for the face for the girl (the Wide-Eyed Kids collection) and the kitten (Princess face assortment collection). I then put all the pieces together and did some doodling with my white gel pen. Next I created the frame behind the image using the Twinkle Toes lite cartridge. I next created my card base and then adhered my DP (from MME). I added a double looped bow (tied with my Bow Easy), rhinestones in the corner, dew drops, and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts. I then adhered my image to the frame with dimensionals and then adhered the frame to the card base with dimensionals. The sentiment is from a new Studio G $1 stamp at Michael's. What do you think?

The striped kitty is Henry and the black kitty is Charlie. They are spoiled rotten, but we love them so much :) They inspired my cards today so I thought I'd share a picture of them with you.

Hi Everyone and Happy Saturday! I hope you are having a fabulous weekend! I have some exciting crafty news to share . . . I have a Silhouette on the way!!! I'm SO excited! I LOVE my Cricut and will continue to use my Cricut but I am seeing so many awesome SVG files online as well that can't be cut with the Cricut anymore so I decided to take the plunge and get a Silhouette. I got a huge deal on it and I just can't wait :) I'm already playing with some SVG files online so I'll be all ready to cut when the machine gets here :) Anyway, onto my card for the day.

Isn't this cut adorable? When the Kate's ABCs Cricut Cartridge came out a while back, I just knew I had to have it. There are so many wonderful cuts on this cartridge, I LOVE it! I designed the card in my Gypsy. I cut the image and all the pieces out using SU cardstock. I put everything together, and then did some doodling with my white and black gel pens. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from Basic Grey (Urban Prairie Collection . . . I just recently found this paper stack at Michael's really cheap on clearance so if you are looking for it, try your local Michael's, the papers are beautiful). I then adhered my image to my card base using dimensionals (I should buy stock in the company that makes these things, I think I use at least ten of them for each card I make :) ). I thought this sentiment was just perfect for this image; it's from an older MFT (My Favorite Things) stamp set. For some finishing touches, I added a bow, tied with my bow easy, pearls, dew drops, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Summer Fun

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! I'm so happy the weekend is here! Any exciting plans for the weekend? Hubby and I have some work to do around the house, some errands to run, and then hopefully, we'll be able to relax some and I'll get some time in the craftroom. I really want to find some time to get back into scrapbooking. I have tons of vacation photos from Charleston to scrap as well as just tons of everyday photos from birthdays, get-togethers, holidays, etc. I'm so far behind! I'm hoping to get at least one two-page spread done this weekend so hopefully I'll have that to share next week. Anyway, enough chit chat, on to my card for today :)

For my card today, I decided to create a fun, summery, bright, cheerful card that reminded me of the beach/vacation. I love this image from the Pack Your Bags cricut cartridge and couldn't wait to cut her out. I designed the card in my Gypsy and cut the image and all the layers out. I did some doodling with my white gel pen and then put all the pieces together. Next, I created the frame using the Once Upon a Princess cartridge and cut it out of my DP which is from DCWV. I next created my card base out of SU cardstock. My patterned paper is a mixture of SU and DCWV. For some extra touches, I added roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, a bow (tied with my awesome Bow Easy), and pearls. My sentiment is from an old Studio G set. Just a cute, summery card perfect for a friend as a thinking of you card or even a birthday during the summer months. What do you think?

I'm Back! Two New Cricut Cards to Share!!!

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! After a few months off from crafting, I am back and boy does it feel good to be back in the craft room again! :) So much has happened since I last posted here. My husband has started his own law firm which is so exciting (I'm so proud of him!). We took a week long vacation to Charleston, SC (some of you may remember, we visited there last year as well). Going to Charleston feels like going home to me. I love it SO much! We stayed on the Isle of Palms, went for walks on the beach every morning and every night, and spent our days in Charleston sightseeing, walking, sitting at the park at the Battery, admiring the beautiful houses, eating the best food ever . . . you name it, we did it! :) I even managed to get autographed copies of books from my two favorite authors (Karen White and Dorothea Benton Frank). I promised myself when we left that we will move down to Charleston some day, hopefully sooner rather than later. I'll share some pictures of our trip soon. Work is still crazy. I'm still an assistant prosecutor and I love it but it sure does keep me busy :) I wouldn't have it any other way though. So, things have been crazy busy around here, thus the need for a crafting break. Things are still crazy busy, but I'm finding time again to make it to the craft room and I'm realizing just how much I missed it.

Okay, onto the real reason you are here! :) I have two cards to share with you today. Both were made using my Cricut (and yes, I still plan on sharing stamping/copic creations with you on my blog as well, but right now, I'm on a Cricut craze so bear with me :) I think there's room in the crafting world (and in my heart and on my blog) for all sorts of projects and I hope I provide a little something for everyone :)).

For my first card, I created this fun, summery birthday card. The sweet bird and flags were cut from the Birthday Bash Cricut Cartridge (I LOVE this cartridge, it is definitely one of my favorites . . . the little critters are SO cute). The card measures 4 1/4" by 5 1/2". All cardstock is by SU and my DP is from MME (doesn't that cut paper match the image perfectly?) I used my white gel pen (mine is just a Sakura gelly roll pen from Michael's, I'm looking for a better one so leave me a comment if you have any suggestions) to add some dimension to the cuts. I also added a little pink rhinestone (from Michael's) to the top of the bird's party hat. I added a ribbon (tied with my awesome Bow Easy (how did I tie bows before I bought this little tool?!?!)), a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts, and pearls. I'm not sure who made the sentiment, it's from an old set I had laying around. I adhered the main image and the sentiment to the card base with dimensionals. What do you think?

For my second card, I decided to use one of my most favorite carts, the Playtime Lite Cartridge (I've had this one for a while, I was lucky enough to find a wonderful seller off of Ebay who sold it to me). I cut the cute little girl image out and used the "hide contour" feature on my Gypsy to hide her face. I then used my Princess Face stamps from Peachy Keen stamps for the face. Again I used my white gel pen for some doodling around the image for added dimension. The card base was created using my Gypsy as well. I used a square "stamp" image from the Pack Your Bags cartridge, duplicated it in my Gypsy, and then welded the two images together to create the card base. I then created a smaller "stamp" for my DP (which is from DCWV Playtime stack). Next, I cut the clouds out from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge. I adhered the clouds and the little girl to the card base using dimensionals. I added a bow (again tied with my Bow Easy) and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts. Finally, I added the sentiment (again, not sure who makes this one either, I've had it for years). What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and for those of you in the States, Happy President's Day :) Hope those of you who get today off are enjoying it. I have a really crazy couple of weeks coming up at work so I plan to rest today and enjoy some time off before the crazies hit :) I have a card to share with you today so I'll get right to it.

For my card today, I decided to cut out this adorable image from the Playtime Cricut Cartridge (I got this cart courtesy of Ebay and I'm SO glad I did!). I used my "hide contour" feature on my Gypsy to hide the cat and the little girl's faces and then used my Princess Face Assortment Stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps for their cute faces. I also used some chalk to add blush to their faces. After I put all the pieces together, I did some doodling with my white gel pen. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from MME. For some finishing touches, I added pearls, a bow (I love this new ribbon, it's from the Basic Basic collection at Michael's), and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. My sentiment is from My Creative Time's You Had Me at Chocolate Stamp Set. What do you think?

A Quick Happy Birthday Card

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! I'm sorry I haven't been around much this week, I've been swamped at work and I've also been feeling a bit under the weather (it usually happens when the seasons start to change, my allergies start acting up). I can't complain though, it has been gorgeous here the last couple of days and may even get up to 70 degrees today! I love spring! :) Well, last night I had a few minutes to spare so I decided to create a very quick birthday card using my Cricut.

I cut the cute little girl out using my Once Upon a Princess Cartridge. I did some doodling with my white gel pen and then put her together. I used the hide contour feature on my Gypsy to hide her face and then I stamped a face for her using my Princess Face Assortment stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps I also decided to cut out some balloons so I cut the balloons out from the Once Upon a Princess Cartridge as well. I hid the faces the Cricut would have cut and used my Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps for the faces. Next I created my card base using SU cardstock. My DP is from DCWV (Nana's Kids stack). I cut the frame out also using the Once Upon a Princess cartridge and adhered it to the card base with dimensionals. I then adhered the little girl to the frame, also with dimensionals. For some finishing touches, I added a double looped bow (tied with my Bow Easy), rhinestones, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. My sentiment is from an old Hanna Stamps set. What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Monday and Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I got to spend some time in the craft room and I have three Valentine's cards to share with you today so I'll get right to it.

For my first card, I decided to cut this adorable couple out using the Sweethearts cartridge. The heart is also cut out using Sweethearts. Before attaching the dress to the image, I ran it through my Cuttlebug using my Swiss Dots embossing folder to give it some texture. Then, I put all the pieces together and did some doodling using my white gel pen. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from K&Co.'s new Valentines stack. For some finishing touches, I added a bow, pearls, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. My sentiment is from My Creative Time's You Hade Me at Chocolate stamp set. I am also entering this card in the My Pink Stamper Blog Hop Challenge. The challenge was to use black with your favorite colors. What do you think?

For my second card, I decided to create a little scene card using the Sweethearts cartridge and Create a Critter. The tree is from Create a Critter. The couple is from Sweethearts. I used a Martha Stewart border punch to create the fence and then the flowers are also from Create a Critter. All measurements are saved in my Gypsy if you want them, just e-mail me. I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from K&Co. For some finshing touches, I added pearls and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. My sentiment is from My Creative Time's You Hade Me at Chocolate stamp set. What do you think?

For my third card, I cut out this adorable ladybug from the Birthday Bash cartridge. I used my "hide countour" feature on my Gypsy to hide the face and then I used my Princess Face Assortment face stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps for the face. I put all the pieces together and then did some doodling with my white gel pen. I also cut out a heart from the Sweethearts cartridge and adhered it with dimensionals to the ladybug's "hands." My card base was created using SU cardstock. My DP is from K&Co. For some finishing touches, I added a bow and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. My sentiment is from My Creative Time's You Hade Me at Chocolate stamp set. What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! :) Friday is finally here, yay! :) This has been a very long week so I'm so looking forward to getting some R&R this weekend :) And of course, spending lots of time in the craft room :) Well, since Valentine's Day is Monday, I have a few more Valentine projects to share with you between now and then.

For my card today, I just had to cut out this absolutely adorable lady bug from the Create a Critter cartridge. So In Love - My Very First Scrapbook Layout

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday! Whew! Today's project was definitely a labor of love :) I spent hours on this, but I wanted the very first layout that I shared on my blog to be fun and as good as I could make it. I have been so inspired by Lauren over at Lauren's Creative. Her scrapbook layouts are phenomenal! I definitely used a lot of tips and tricks of hers in my 2-page layout today so thank you so much Lauren for the inspiration!

My 12x12 craft cardstock is from Michael's and my DP is from K&Co. All other cardstock is from SU. I designed the entire layout on my Gypsy. I also used several different cartridges. The tree, the couple, and the girl on the scooter were all cut out using the Sweethearts cartridge. The corner embellishments were cut out using the Storybook cartridge. The "So In Love" was cut out using the font from Winter Woodland. The journaling tag was cut out from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. My photo mats are matted for 4" x 4" photos and one 4 x 6 photo. I doodled on everything! :) I used my white gel pen and my black gel pen for the doodling. I added some Stardust Stickles to the hearts on the tree. The sentiment on the heart is from My Creative Time's You Had Me at Chocolate Stamp Set. For some finishing touches, I added some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and a bow to the top of the journaling tag. If you want any specific measurements, please send me an e-mail, everything is saved in my Gypsy and I can get that for you. What do you think of my very first scrapbook layout? My Sweet Love

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We had a pretty low key weekend here, which was nice. I worked a little bit but mostly I got to rest, spend some time in the craft room, and watch the Super Bowl. I thought the commercials this year were hilarious! Hubby and I laughed so much. We're both Steelers fans (we lived three years in Steeler Country when we were in law school), but we both like Green Bay as well so it didn't really matter who won. It was a really exciting game, I had so much fun watching it. Well, I have another Cricut Valentine's Day card to share with you today so I'll get right to it.

For my card today, I decided to cut out this adorable skunk from the Birthday Bash cartridge. In the handbook, he's actually holding the number 7 but I was able to hide that with my Gypsy. I cut him out at 3 3/4". Instead of a regular balloon, I used my Sweethearts cartridge for the heart and made the balloon a heart balloon. I then put all my pieces together and then did some doodling with my white and black gel pens. I also added some chalk to his cheeks to give him some "blush." Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from K&Co.'s new Valentine's stack. I added pearls, a ribbon, a bow, dew drops, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts for some finishing touches. I then adhered my skunk with dimensionals. The beautiful sentiment is from My Creative Time You Had Me at Chocolate Stamp Set (I LOVE Emma's stamps, the fonts are gorgeous and they stamp beautifully!). What do you think of my card?

Tiny Dancer

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! :) I hope you are having a wonderful day and have some fun plans for the weekend. Hopefully those of you with all the snow are starting to be able to dig out. Luckily, we didn't get the blizzard here, but it sure has been cold, brrrrr! Well, I'm excited to share my card with you today so I'll get right to it :)

Ever since I got the Twinkle Toes Lite Cartridge from Wal-Mart on Black Friday, I have had this card idea in my head. I finally had a chance last night to put pen to paper so to speak. I started by first cutting out this adorable stage. I sized it in my Gypsy and it was an unusual measurement to make it fit inside my 5 1/2" by 5 1/2" card. I don't have the measurement in front of me right now, but if you would like it, just let me know and I can get it to you (everything is saved in my Gypsy). Once I got everything for the stage cut out, I put all the pieces together and then I did my doodling with my white gel pen. Next I cut the dancer out (again, she was an unusual size, if you want the measurements, leave me a comment or send me an e-mail and I can get them to you). I used my "hide contour" feature on my Gypsy and hid her face. I then used my Princess Face Assortment Stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps to create my face. I used some chalk to give her cheeks some "blush." I then put all the pieces of my dancer together and then doodled around the image using my white gel pen. Next I put my card base together using SU cardstock. My DP is from DCWV Nana's Nursery Stack (both boy and girl stacks). I then adhered my stage and my dancer to my card base with dimensionals. For a finishing touch, I added some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Sneak Peek - New Sweet Pea Image

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! I hope you are all having a wonderful week. I have a super quick post to share with you today so I'll get right to it :)

Isn't this image fabulous?!?! Today I have the pleasure of debuting a new image from Sweet Pea Stamps. This adorable image is illustrated by the incredibly talented Terra Bidlespacher. You can find the image, along with lots of other sneak peeks, HERE at the Sweet Pea Stamps website. I just fell in love with this image the minute I saw it. I colored the image with copics and then lightly sponged around the image with SU's Bashful Blue ink. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from MME. I also added some dew drops and some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. I kept my embellishments pretty simple as I wanted the image to be the main focal point. What do you think?

Sweet Heart

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! Can you believe it's the middle of the week already? This week is flying by and I have so much to do! This is one of those rare weeks where I wish the work week would go by a little slower so I can get everything done :) Well, I've been in a Valentine card making mood this week so I have another V-Day card to share with you today.

I just love this sweet little lady bug from the Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge. I cut the lady bug out at 3" and used the "hide contour" feature on my Gypsy to hide its face. I then used my Peachy Keen Princess Face Assortment face stamp for her face. I used my white gel pen to do some doodling and a red SU marker to color in her lips. I LOVE my Peachy Keen face stamps, they just bring so much life to my Cricut cuts! Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is also from SU. I used my Martha Stewart heart border punch on the top panel of cardstock. I then added a ribbon and a bow, some pearls, and some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts for some finishing touches. The gorgeous sentiment is from My Creative Time's You Had Me at Chocolate stamp set. Finally, I adhered my lady bug to my card with dimensionals. What do you think? I decided to enter this card into Momo's Tuesday Challenge. Our challenge was to create a card using white, black, and hot pink and at least one heart. I love Momo's blog, it's because of her that I got back into using my fabulous Cricut. Thanks Momo! :)

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday! I know a lot of you reading this are getting tons of snow right now. Stay warm and drink lots of hot chocolate :) We got some ice last night, but it looks like the roads are okay. The driveways in the subdivision are really icy, but the road looks alright. I'll be so glad when spring arrives! :)

For my card today, I decided to create another Valentine's Day card since I'm so far behind :) I used my Cricut again and I cut out this sweet puppy dog from the Sweethearts cartridge at 3". I cut him out using the Blackout feature and then used my Peach Keen Stamps Critter Faces set (Medium Size) for his face. I just love how much character these Peachy Keen faces give to my Cricut cuts. So cute! :) Next I did some doodling around the image and then I created my card base using SU cardstock. My DP is from K & Co.'s new Valentine's stack. I added some ribbon, a bow, a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts, and dew drops for some added touches. I adhered the puppy to the card base with dimensionals and then I added my sentiment (which is from an old Studio G set). What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! The weekend is almost here, yay! :) Any exciting plans for the weekend? I hope to get some crafting done (I still have tons of Valentine's Day cards to make). Hubby and I also have some errands to run but other than that, nothing too exciting here :) We ended up with six or more inches of snow here. The roads were okay yesterday though, they did a pretty good job plowing. It's still really cold though and we might get more snow tonight! Ugh, come on Spring! :)

For some finishing touches, I added pearls, a bow (tied with my Bow Easy) and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! Brrrr, it is so cold here in WV. We are expecting over 6 inches of snow today and into tonight (ugh!). I'm so ready for spring and some warmer weather :) Luckily though, if it snows really bad, they usually close the office down (my office is located in the courthouse) and that might mean more time in the craft room :):):) For my card today, I decided to create a Valentine's Day card (I'm so far behind in my card making, can you believe this is my first Valentine's Day card! Yikes!).

I decided to play along again this week in the Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge. The challenge this week was to use the Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge on your project. I cut this adorable monkey out at 3 3/4". I cut his head out twice so I could pop it up for dimension. I also added doodling to all the pieces using my white gel pen. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from Basic Grey (Bittersweet collection). I used my Martha Stewart heart border punch on the top panel of DP. For some finishing touches, I added roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and pink dew drops. My sentiment is from My Creative Time You Had Me at Chocolate Stamp Set. What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday! I hope you are all having a wonderful week so far. Things here are great, just super busy as always :)

For my card today, I decided to create another fun Cricut card. This time, I used my Rock Princess cricut cartridge (I love this cartridge, there are so many fun cuts). I cut the dancing girl out at 5 inches. After I pieced everything together, I used my white gel pen to do some doodling. Next I created my card base using SU cardstock (my card measures 5 1/2" by 4 1/4"). My DP is from DCWV (All Dressed Up Stack . . . I've been using this stack a lot lately, I love it!). I used a Martha Stewart border punch on my top panel of DP. I also added a ribbon, bow (tied with my Bow Easy), a charm (I got this at Michael's, it was made by Making Memories), pearls, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. Finally, I adhered my dancing girl to my card base with dimensionals. What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! It feels so good to be back with a project for you. I'm sorry that I was gone all last week. I finally got some time in the craft room yesterday and my goal is to have a project to share with you every day this week. We'll see how I do :)

For my card today, I decided to ink up this gorgeous new image illustrated by Caron Vinson for Sweet Pea Stamps. This particular image is called Glam Goth Fairy and I think she's beautiful! I truly love Caron Vinson's work, her images are truly a dream to color. I colored the image with copics and then sponged around the image with SU's Bashful Blue ink using my Tim Holtz blending tool. Next I lightly added some Stardust Stickles to her wings. I then created my card base using SU cardstock. My DP is from DCWV (All Dressed Up Stack). This is definitely a different color scheme for me, but I really like how the blues and greens go together. For some finishing touches, I added pearls, a bow (tied with my Bow Easy) and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! I just have to get through the day today and then I can spend the three day weekend without having to even think about work. That will be so nice for a change! :) I did manage to get some time in the craft room last night. I wanted to make a super girly card for a friend of mine and here is what I came up with.

I decided to make another Cricut card, this time using the Rock Princess Cricut Cartridge (one of my favorites!). I cut the drummer girl out at 4 3/4". Once I pasted all the pieces together, I did some doodling with my white gel pen (I really love the effect it gives the Cricut cuts, it seems to bring them to life). Next I created my card base using SU cardstock. My DP is from DCWV (All Dressed Up stack). I added a ribbon and a bow (tied with my Bow Easy). I also added some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts for a finishing touch. The sentiment is from Studio G. What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! Brrrrr, it is SO cold here in West Virginia. We got a little bit of snow yesterday, but what is worse is the wind. It just chills you to the bone. I hope wherever you are, you are staying nice and warm. :)

For my card today, I decided to join in a challenge over at Scrappy Moms Stamps. I discovered these great sentiment stamps a while back when I was blog surfing various Cricut blogs and fell in love with them. They go so wonderfully, not just with Cricut projects, but with stamping projects too. Unfortunately, I don't own any of the stamps yet, but hopefully that will change soon :) Scrappy Moms Stamps started their first challenge this past Tuesday (called the Terrific Tuesday Challenge) and I decided to participate. Our challenge was to use the Birthday Bash Cricut Cartridge (or a similar cut from another cartridge if you don't have Birthday Bash). Here is what I came up with:

I just love this little kitten coming out of the cake, he's just too cute! :) I cut the image out at 4 1/4" and put all the pieces together. Next I added pearls to the frosting so it would look like sprinkles. I then created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from MME. I added some pearls in the corners and a bow tied with my Bow Easy. For a finishing touch, I also added some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is from Stampin Up (I think it's a current hostess set, but I'm not 100% sure on that). What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! I am so sorry to all my blogging friends out there, I have gotten so behind in leaving comments this week. I had a trial this week at work which isn't even close to being done (we had to extend it to several more scattered dates because the docket is so crazy right now) and I've had so much else going on at work that I thought I would lose my mind this week :) Anyway, I promise to get caught up this weekend, I've missed seeing all your beautiful work! I did manage to get a few minutes in the craft room last night and I have a card I'd like to share with you today.

If you've been a reader of my blog for a while now, you may recall that my husband and I were crazy and decided to go out on Black Friday. One of our many stops was at Wal-Mart at midnight that Friday morning to get the new lite Cricut cartridges that came out. Well, that was crazy and I don't think I'll ever do that again, but I did manage to get the three carts I wanted (they were only $20!). I decided to use one of those cartridges today, the Four Legged Friends cartridge. Isn't this kitten so cute! I love how the Cricut does the cuts on this cartridge, it makes them so that you can be more artistic and use funky colors for the little kittens and puppies. I cut my cat out at 4.25". After I put everything together, I used my white gel pen to do some doodling. Next I created my card base (which is 5" by 5") out of SU cardstock (all cardstock is by SU). My DP is from MME. I added a ribbon and a bow (tied with my Bow Easy) and then I adhered my cat with dimensionals so she would really stand out. For some finishing touches, I added a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts and some pink dew drops. The sentiment is from an old Studio G set. What do you think?

Make a Wish - MPS Design Team Call

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! Did you all have a wonderful New Year? We kept it very low key here and as I predicted, I fell asleep before the ball dropped :) I worked most of the weekend since I took last week off from work, but I did manage to get into my craft room last night. When I learned the other day that Robyn over at My Pink Stamper was having a Design Team Call, I just new I had to try out. Robyn is truly a wonderful person, her tutorials on using the Cricut have really inspired me and helped me use this fabulous tool. It would truly be an honor to work with her on her Design Team. For those of you who have been reading my blog for a while now and enjoy my stamping projects, don't worry, I will never give up my stamps and my copic markers :) But I do love my Cricut and thanks to Robyn and some other talented bloggers out there, I've really gotten into using it these last couple of months. I just want to mix my blog up a little bit and provide all sorts of projects on here. Hopefully, I'll have projects for everyone. :) Anyway, our challenge for Robyn's DT call was to use her favorite colors pink, green, and brown (plus an additional optional color of our own) and our favorite Cricut cartridge. This was a bit difficult for me because I have so many favorite cartridges, but I decided to go with the Once Upon a Princess cartridge. I have lots of pictures of the project I came up with so here goes:

To make my card, I first used my Gypsy to design where I wanted everything placed. My card measures 5 1/2" by 5 1/2". I used my Paperdoll Dress Up cartridge for the hills and the grass. I used my Gypsy to cut them lenghtwise at 5 1/2". Next, I used my Once Upon a Princess Cartridge to cut out my castle at 4". I cut each layer out and then I attached each layer with dimensionals so the castle really popped out. Next, I cut my princess out at 3.5" and my unicorn out at 3". I did some doodling with my white and black gel pens and then put all the pieces together. I used the "hide contour" feature on my Gypsy to hide the princess' face that the Gypsy would cut and I used a face stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps from the Princess Face Assortment Set For a finishing touch for the unicorn, I added some Stardust Stickles to her horn. Next I created my card base using SU cardstock. My DP is from MME. I then adhered my castle, unicorn, and princess to my card base with dimensionals. I stamped the "Make a Wish" sentiment (which is from an old Studio G set) right onto my grass layer and then for a finishing touch, added some roses from Wild Orchid crafts. What do you think?

Last Christmas Card

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! I hope you are all having a wonderful week. Any exciting plans for New Years? I need to do some work this weekend since I took this week off so nothing too exciting here. Hubby and I will probably watch the ball drop in our pj's :) I wanted to share one more Christmas card I made with you today. I used my Cricut a lot for Christmas cards this year. I really like the look of them and they are quick and fun to put together.

For my card today, I cut the reindeer from the Jolly Holidays cartridge out at 4". After I put everything together, I added some doodling around the image and then added a red pearl for his nose. Next I put my card base together using SU cardstock. My DP is from DCWV. For some finishing touches, I added pearls, Prima flower, ribbon, a bow (tied with my Bow Easy) and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Well, sorry to be so short today, but today is my and hubby's 5th Wedding Anniversary so we are going out to a nice lunch to celebrate. Two More Christmas Cricut Cards

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! :) I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. We had a wonderful Christmas here. My husband's mom and step dad came here along with a family friend and we served dinner, did presents, and just had a wonderful time together. I also took this week off of work so I get to spend some time at home with hubby (he's off work as well since the kids are out of school) and of course, some time in the craft room. I have a couple more Christmas cards to share with you today. I decided to use my Cricut on these, I hope you like them.

For my first card, I decided to use this adorable chimney and this too cute Santa from the Simply Charmed cartridge. I cut the chimney out at 4 inches and I cut Santa out at 3 inches. After I put everything together, I used my white and black gel pens to do some doodling. Next I added glue all over the snow covering the chimney and then sprinkled on lots of Martha Stewart fine glitter (it's really shiny in person). Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from DCWV. For a finishing touch, I added a Prima, pearl, and little branches made from my Martha Stewart branch punch. The sentiment is from an old Studio G set. What do you think?

For my second card today, I decided to cut out this adorable Santa from the Winter Frolic cricut cartridge. I cut him out at 4.25". I did some doodling with my gel pens and then put everything together. I popped his mustache with some pop dots. For some extra touches, I added ribbon, a bow (tied with my Bow Easy), rose from Wild Orchid Crafts, and pearls. The sentiment is from Studio G. What do you think?

Happy Holidays My Friends

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday and happy two days before Christmas! I can't believe how fast this month has flown by. I'm not sure if I'll have a chance to post again before Christmas so I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I still have a few Christmas cards to make (eeeek, yes, I'm very behind) so I will share those with you sometime soon. But for now, I have a little Cricut Christmas scene I created using my wonderful Gypsy that I'd like to share.

I used the Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridge to create my card. I first cut the little girl out at 3.75". I did some doodling around all the little pieces using my Sakura white gel pen and then I put everything together. I used some SU chalk and a Q-tip to create the blush on her cheek. I also used my Gypsy's "hide contour" feature to hide the face the cricut would have cut out and used a Peachy Keen face stamp (from the Princess Faces stamp set) to create her face. So cute, I love Peachy Keen face stamps!!! Next I cut the Christmas tree out at 5". I did some doodling and then put everything together. Next I created my card base using SU cardstock. My DP is from DCWV. I placed a piece of white cardstock at the bottom of the card after running it through my Cuttlebug using the snowflakes embossing folder. For some finishing touches, I added pearls and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Celebrating the Holidays in Style

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! Can you believe there are only 5 days until Christmas! I can't believe how fast this month has flown by! I still have a few Christmas cards to make and send out. They might get out a little late but better late than never :) We had a wonderful Christmas celebration last night at my dad's with my sister and her family as well as my step sisters and step brother. We had a feast too, dinner was so yummy! Come Christmas, it will be my turn to cook, hope mine turns out as well! :)

For my card today, I decided to use some very nontraditional Christmas colors, but I love the way it turned out. My image is illustrated by the fabulous Elisabeth Bell and is available at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. I colored the image with copics and then inked around the image with SU's Pretty in Pink ink. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from last year's DCWV Glitter Christmas stack. For some finishing touches, I added pink rhinestones (from the dollar bin at Michael's), a bow (tied with my Bow Easy), and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?

Happy Holidays from Rudolph

Hi everyone and Happy Sunday! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. My husband and I are getting ready to head to my dad's this afternoon to celebrate Christmas there. On Christmas day, we stay home and my husband's family comes to us so we have to celebrate with my family a week early. Should be a yummy dinner tonight, I'm looking forward to it :)

For my card today, I decided to make another Christmas card using my Cricut. I used the Create a Critter cartridge (one of my absolute favorites) for all the cuts. I designed the tree in my Gypsy so I could determine how wide I needed to cut the light strings. The tree itself was cut at 4.5" and Rudolph was cut at 3.75". I paper pieced everything together and then did some doodling using my white gel pen. Next I made my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from DCWV. For a finishing touch, I added Prima, pearl, and some leaves using my Martha Stewart Branch Punch. What do you think?

Warm Wishes

Hi everyone and Happy Saturday! Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. We actually got snow here on Thursday, about 4 inches! It was so cold that the roads got really icy. Luckily, the sun came out yesterday and melted most of it. The roads are fine now which is good because I still have some last minute Christmas shopping to do (I'm mostly done, just need a couple more things). Well, enough chit chat and onto my card :)

For my card today, I used another winter cutie from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. This image is illustrated by the fabulous Victoria Case and you can find her HERE. I colored the image with copics and then I cut the image out with my circle nestie. While the image was still in the nestie, I sponged around it with SU's Bashful Blue ink. Next I added Stardust Stickles to the trim around her coat and boots and to the snowballs. I then created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from MME. For some finishing touches, I added pearls, a bow (tied with my Bow Easy), dew drops, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is from a clear stamp set I found at Wal-Mart a few Christmases ago. What do you think?

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday! Brrrrrr, it is SO cold here in West Virginia. The last several days, it hasn't been above 30 degrees and with the windchill, it feels like it's below zero. What's worse is the wind has been so bad, you feel like you're going to blow away. Sure hope we get a warm spell soon! :)

In light of the cold weather, I was inspired to create a wintry card using this adorable image illustrated by Victoria Case and available at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. Isn't she adorable? I colored my image with copics and then inked around the image with SU's Bashful Blue ink using my Tim Holtz blending tool. Next I added Stardust Stickles to the fur trim around her coat. I then created my card base using SU cardstock (Perfect Plum and Bashful Blue). My DP is from Cosmo Cricket's Mitten Weather paper pad (I got mine HERE). For some finishing touches, I added pearls, ribbon, a bow (tied with my Bow Easy), snowflakes (from Me and My Big Ideas, I got them at Michael's) and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. A Cricut Elf

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! :) The weekend is almost here, yay! Any exciting plans for the weekend? I cut the elf image out at 3 3/4". I used the "hide contour" feature on my Gypsy to hide the face the cricut cuts out and instead used my Peachy Keen Princess Faces stamps to create his face. Next, after I pieced all the pieces together, I did some doodling around the image to give it some dimension. Next I cut the presents out (they are a separate cut on the cartridge) and adhered them to the wagon with dimensionals. I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My patterned paper (which I also used for his little shorts) is from DCWV. I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the top piece of cardstock and then adhered the image to the card base using dimensionals. For a finishing touch, I added some pearls. What do you think?
